For grins. Could you tell us the conditions in which a person like you would “see no more racism” and unilaterally disarm?
The better measure is for people like you to see: “Billionaire Beyonce is sold as a victim of Country Music Racism” and this compels “Democracy Now” to agree to not cast her as Too Much Wealth in Too Fee Hands , but instead “regardless the money, political power, staged global Super Bowl performances “……..{ambiguous} THEY still see you as a N

@@justlol7281 It's racism, honestly. The burden of proof falls on you to untangle this. What would American society and what would the black condition in America look like in the USA today if it weren't for historical oppression and racism? You could even look at the improved social and economic experience of black people in places with less oppressive histories towards black people (like in Europe) to begin to see this.

both are correct the issue as i see it is the act of slavery made it virtually impossible to asses treatment of people fairly consistently because the impact it has on the trajectory of the communities and culture in general can never be determined form the individual responsibility and social economic effects because they are so well weaved together that you could argue either way and you cannot make policy based on outcomes that are pretty indeterministic

Sure. Good idea. After American Descendants of Slavery and the savagery of oppressive Jim Crowe laws are paid reparations for 400 years of economic oppression. My father was a marine and was denied GI benefits for college or homeownership. My father could not go into a bank or get a business loan to benefit from US capitalism. (There's more but I'll stop here) This US government had a Homestead Act and gave a way free land and built whites only homes with no interest mortgages for 1,000's of communities that have amassed trillions of dollars of wealth for White America alone. Not to mention domestic terrorism and racism. Yeah. Abolish the economic benefits and positive effects of "White Race Based policies" and counter with reparations or American Descendants of Slavery & Jim Crowe. That's the black people that were here during the civil rights era. Before the immigration of other people of color. Okay...Then we're cool.

This country was built on race. Only white people have the power to abolish race. This is an extremely racist country. Ron Desantis and other Republican leaders want to keep the racial hierarchy in place. Affirmative action is necessary, because of the history of systemic racism.

Or black veterans being denied the G.I. Bill? Black people being denied benefits of the Homestead Act?
Unfortunately, there is a debt that needs to be paid, and if the govt wasn't already discriminating based on race for CENTURIES, we would need this conversation.

The question was about AA - a program
Conerly error with his “Color Blind” dream and this became the focus
However Tim Wise is the greater threat to black people who need reform and a new strategy in order to produce different results
Name one time that TW has ever stood before a group of black people, bringing with him awareness of the entirety of problems that are constantly broadcast and told them what A) What black people as a collective must stop allowing within their ranks and B) What black peoples culture and civic volunteer work must support - in order to produce better outcomes for the majority, rather than a handful of black elite.
In local counties where I live the school board that used to be the focus of resource injustice (due to racism) is today a political opportunist stage show run by elected officials
For Mr Wise (Conerly is dead) I would ask him to go to Memphis Shelby County school board and look at the attempts to purge the superintendent (who is barely hanging on with a 5 to 4 split vote) and let Wise tell them: “Your school system is overwhelmingly black and low income. Your infighting is under cutting my claim that the former all white power structure driven by racism is the reason for todays outcomes. Now you have only one white on the board and you have taken your eyes off of the student education “
Wise will always appeal to a certain type of grievance. Wise will not be the voice that compels black people to produce the academic achievement upward upon all ranks of blacks
