If it wasn't for racism, there would'nt be a need for affirmitive action.
IQ
For grins. Could you tell us the conditions in which a person like you would “see no more racism” and unilaterally disarm?
The better measure is for people like you to see: “Billionaire Beyonce is sold as a victim of Country Music Racism” and this compels “Democracy Now” to agree to not cast her as Too Much Wealth in Too Fee Hands , but instead “regardless the money, political power, staged global Super Bowl performances “……..{ambiguous} THEY still see you as a N
Do you not see the terms of your psychological pacification via Idol worship?
@@justlol7281read the Kerner Commission.
Affirmative Action was supposed to be 'Reparations' for black Americans, which was then taken over by white women.
@@justlol7281 It's racism, honestly. The burden of proof falls on you to untangle this. What would American society and what would the black condition in America look like in the USA today if it weren't for historical oppression and racism? You could even look at the improved social and economic experience of black people in places with less oppressive histories towards black people (like in Europe) to begin to see this.
Tim Wise All the Way!!!!
Mr wise thank you for your dedication to peace and equality, stay strong sir
So one side of the debate is based on facts, data, and the other is on feeling, belief and wants.
That's exactly what I heard.
Mr tim.wise I think that you are a man of truth and honesty...maybe I day we will all wake up and live as one...and stop hate in an each others....one love
wonderful debate ..awesome job from Tim Wise ..string presentation of arguments
strong presentation
Excellent you tell the truth and the whole truth Thank you i appreciate your honesty
When they couldn't get Tim to back down on his campaign, they found one of ours to use against us. I am not surprised; that's what they always do!
#TheSystem!
He "MAY" be Black, but he's definitely NOT one of OURS...
Read Katherine Cox and Howard Zinn and the history of systemic racist are stated by policy.
If we were truly a good people in America, this would be the video viewed in the millions.

I thank God for this man.

This puppet clown (opposing Tim Wise) need to be shut down!
Tim Wise definitely fits the narrative. All the money & power is in dividing us.
Thanks Tim
Why does the government treat rich people and corporations differently with taxes so the government does treat people differently
Ward, "When people show you who they are, believe them."
This Mr C is another Thomas Sowell voice, clearly. What is his ‘alternative’
Based social uplift on poverty. That's his pivot point, never mind that the vast majority of people who live in poverty are white, so how would you use that? Square the circle.
I see both sides and respect both sides. It's sad we still talking about the same issues in 2024. Have things change if so how?
Unless you have been living under a rock.

Love Tim Wise.
I bought his book. I have been looking for another one with a white book cover .
Really don’t see the appeal. He says some wild out there stuff.
Mr connelly know that mr wise was speaking the truth
mr wise is wise
lol no he doesn’t.
I am glad he said, "Professed."
Mr C. I don’t know what world this man live in, certainly not this one.
You sound ridiculous. Know understanding of world views.
both are correct the issue as i see it is the act of slavery made it virtually impossible to asses treatment of people fairly consistently because the impact it has on the trajectory of the communities and culture in general can never be determined form the individual responsibility and social economic effects because they are so well weaved together that you could argue either way and you cannot make policy based on outcomes that are pretty indeterministic
They passed it and failed to put measures in place to insure implementation.
If you listen carefully, Mr. Connerly sounds as if he doesn't care about the facts on the ground. Centuries of discrimination calls for Centuries of remedies.
Mr. Connelly is truly sad. Everything we hold sacred in this country is based on the premise of justice. The concept of 'never forgetting' is the American default when we have been wronged. His argument is completely devoid of reason.

Cannot be distainful of the majority...
Charges of reverse racism can be leveled when racism has been eliminated. We are not there yet.
Ask him about reparations!
TELL TRUMP AND HIS 2025 ADMINISTRATION THAT!...I AM JUST SAYING!...GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇸 😇❤️🙏💪
There is no need for debate about race color or gender. If the country didn’t have a system based on those things
Implementing the Constitution would be good for America.
Government has no right to discriminate based on race.
We should abolish all race based government policies.
The constitution is a racist misogynistic outdated excuse
Sure. Good idea. After American Descendants of Slavery and the savagery of oppressive Jim Crowe laws are paid reparations for 400 years of economic oppression. My father was a marine and was denied GI benefits for college or homeownership. My father could not go into a bank or get a business loan to benefit from US capitalism. (There's more but I'll stop here) This US government had a Homestead Act and gave a way free land and built whites only homes with no interest mortgages for 1,000's of communities that have amassed trillions of dollars of wealth for White America alone. Not to mention domestic terrorism and racism. Yeah. Abolish the economic benefits and positive effects of "White Race Based policies" and counter with reparations or American Descendants of Slavery & Jim Crowe. That's the black people that were here during the civil rights era. Before the immigration of other people of color. Okay...Then we're cool.
This country was built on race. Only white people have the power to abolish race. This is an extremely racist country. Ron Desantis and other Republican leaders want to keep the racial hierarchy in place. Affirmative action is necessary, because of the history of systemic racism.
No one has benefited from Affirmative Action more than white women, do some research.
Then what do you do about things like the land grabs committed by the govt specifically to take the property of black people?
Or black veterans being denied the G.I. Bill? Black people being denied benefits of the Homestead Act?
Unfortunately, there is a debt that needs to be paid, and if the govt wasn't already discriminating based on race for CENTURIES, we would need this conversation.
The moderator seems to be biased and more in favor of "Ward Connerly.' Because they continuously cuts✂️ 'Tim Wise' off in his arguments !
33:09 that’s because of culture.
Of course not. Don’t be silly!
Well, what Mr. Connelly is saying is….should be true.
But …….
I can appreciate his optimism, but …. I don’t share in it.
I feel sorry for all these PEOPLE that will go to HELL FOR the RACISM (SIN). they have no idea what awaits them.
Exactly 💯✝️
The reality as Mr wise put it is that people are being treated differently on the basis of their colour regardless of laws. So to close our eyes and pretend that affirmative action will or amounts to treating people differently is disingenuous.
lol my brotha you misinterpreted wise and talked about the same problems without offering solutions. OG is why our youngins drop the ball over generations
well it was a better economy when there was affirmative action in 1995

If people treated others based on their content of their character, Trump would not have been elected twice. His entire cabinet is not in place because they are the best for the job, but because they have paid for that privilege and are yes men.
Wow one side gracious and wise and other opposite except for his name.
❤
That was painful (for Ward). Watching him debate Tim Wise is like watching a Little League football team take on the New England Patriots.
Exactly 💯
Pull of the ladder after you have benefitted from it. If you think you are less than Mr. Ward, then perhaps you are.

I'm in pain. He looks Black but, he isn't. Tim Wise isn't perfect but, he's more Black than this dude.
Tim is a prime example of the a Gate Keeper. He'll never admit the deficiencies inherent in systemic racism. Black Skin, White Mask

Indeed he's speaking the truth.

The question was about AA - a program
Conerly error with his “Color Blind” dream and this became the focus
However Tim Wise is the greater threat to black people who need reform and a new strategy in order to produce different results
Name one time that TW has ever stood before a group of black people, bringing with him awareness of the entirety of problems that are constantly broadcast and told them what A) What black people as a collective must stop allowing within their ranks and B) What black peoples culture and civic volunteer work must support - in order to produce better outcomes for the majority, rather than a handful of black elite.
In local counties where I live the school board that used to be the focus of resource injustice (due to racism) is today a political opportunist stage show run by elected officials
For Mr Wise (Conerly is dead) I would ask him to go to Memphis Shelby County school board and look at the attempts to purge the superintendent (who is barely hanging on with a 5 to 4 split vote) and let Wise tell them: “Your school system is overwhelmingly black and low income. Your infighting is under cutting my claim that the former all white power structure driven by racism is the reason for todays outcomes. Now you have only one white on the board and you have taken your eyes off of the student education “
Wise will always appeal to a certain type of grievance. Wise will not be the voice that compels black people to produce the academic achievement upward upon all ranks of blacks
