- Overnighter with the kayak on the Gulf of Bothnia, northern Sweden. Hilleberg Allak on the rocks. With the sun up for almost the whole night, the tent gets hot and makes it hard to sleep in the morning.
Music by Erik.
Curiously, yesterday I was thinking something similar: how your videos feel familiar, almost repetitive but there is always a unique moment that makes each of them beautiful. And so is life, never the same, always changing. Thank you again, Erik.
Hey Erik, don't sweat the repeats, every time you go to that rock mother nature sings a different song and tells a different story, and that my friend never gets old.
Thank you :) Atb
I'm even saying "Holy Moment" out loud at work during coffee break, funny the influence people have on me in my environment.
Every time I have a coffee now I Think, “Holy Moment.” It all takes on a new meaning now....
haha, same here! Greetings from Greece!
There needs to be aHoly Moment T Shirt.
Thanks for sharing your holy moments with us.
"...the same movie over and over again..." but Eric - landscapes are like the a lover - no matter how often you kiss your way across the same skin/land you discover it new and fresh each time. Just as you enjoy revisiting places that give that "I am a little bit at home here" feeling - so we enjoy sharing that same feeling vicariously. My camping maps have certain places circled because they DESERVE being visited more than once..... Ah! Yes, waking up in a tent turned into oven BUT still feeling sleepy and tired, trying to lay there resting but everything is sticky and clings to your body and eventually you kinda get up out of simple anger at the discomfort spoiling your restful. I remember it well. I don't think I ever thought of THAT experience as "Kinda nice."
Fabulous spot! Loved the scenery and with a picnic table you don't have to spend much time bushcrafting! ;-)

Stunning views. Beautiful footage.
I really enjoy your videos!
Yes Erik, we need a "Holy Moment" T-Shirt !!! Urgent!!!
lol :)
"Sometimes, I get the feeling...." LOL. Lovely video, as always.
Erik i have just found your videos and they are simply awesome!Pure and simple outdoor spirit.Keep on going my friend you are doing great.
Thanks Markos, glad to hear that!
Another great trip! Never repetitive. Never the same even if the spot is. I'd even like to see them longer, with more of the trip in and more views.
Always a joy to see you Erik. Love that tent!!! Lol
Be well brother
Craig
Thanks Craig, I appreciate that! I have thought of making some longer films too. Some day I will try that. All the best, Erik
The movie makes itself (allthough it still is a lot of work to turn out the video), everything keeps changing all the time so it is always new. The scenery is beautiful, so it doesn't get boring or anything. I am always glad to see so much peace and quiet. If you want some change, you could go to sites you haven't been before..
Thanks, good to hear that. The circumstances makes every video a bit different. I'm looking forward to go to some other places too and film later on. Variation is always refreshing. Erik
Felt like an authentic Pripps Blå (beer) commercial for a moment there. What a location and very nicely filmed.
Thanks. Hehe yes that's a perfect place for a commercial.
Another truly entertaining blog wonderful scenery Erik, keep living the life my friend 👌🏽
Thanks Anthony!
All the best, Erik
Looks like a nice place so understand you return! The place reminds me a bit of last year we briefly visited Rotsidan, south of Barsta in the south of High Coast area, very nice coastal area
Thanks! I saw your midsummer movie. Nice trip you had there! Looking forward to get to the mountains again.
You are making very nice videos and I love your "like thumb" in every video.
Greetings from Germany ;D
Nice to hear that, thanks! Erik
coffee moment, holly moments ☺
Wow, that's really nice. All right I'll press it..😅
Hi Erik,
Your films have inspired me to get over to Sweden, I am planning my first packrafting trip at the end of August, I was going to go either north or south from Gothenburg through the maze of islands, would you recommend this or would the gulf of Bothnia near Lulea be nicer?
Glad to hear that Darren. It's hard to say, both sounds interesting. Take the one that works best for you. Atb
Love your videos
Hi Erik, in the seqence of 2:20 u are using some bag for blowing up the mat, is it your own made bag or is it possible to get it from somewhere? How does it work? Thanks mate. Anyway all your videos are great and love to watch it. Spectacular countryside.. cheers from Czech👍🏻
Thank you! The bag is an Exped Schnozzel pumpbag. It cost quite much for what you get, but it will save your lungs :)
Nice video Erik 😎
I remember living in Hungary and the sun setting at 10 pm and rising at 4 am.
What prevents the tent from blowing away when you are not in it? Or perhaps ut was attached in some way that I couldn't see? Just curious...
Great video!
Thanks! It was not much wind on this trip, but with more wind you will have to attach the tent in something. Also I put my gear inside to keep it steady.
Lovely vids you do. Greetings from Barcelona.
Thanks! Erik
Where in north Sweden was this?
Im going to start kayaking also this summer, really looking forward to it. We have lots of islands also here in Helsinki.. Ive been thinking of getting the Hilleberg Allak for all season tent, have you been happy with it?
You have the perfect place for kayaking there in Helsinki! You will love it. The Allak is pure luxury, especially for one person. I think if you are tall you might find it a little short, but for my 170cm it's perfect. Atb
Im 179cm, should be fine or me also. :) And the tent has performed well also in winter camping? I see from your videos that you have been using it in winter quite alot. :) Great camping videos by the way, you have a really good touch of doing them. :) Looking forward to see more in the future. :)
Oh and im familiar with Hilleberg, since ive been using Akto as a solo tent for few years now. Its just little small for wintercamping, with more stuff etc. Great tent otherwise! And the thing that i want from my next tent, is that it has to be freestanding. And little bit more room and comfort, hehe.
Lovely spot to camp, there on that flat rock. Is that the Hilleberg Staika? Beautiful. I also do camp and kayak, and trust on my Hilleberg Unna, very happy with it. I saw your video more than once, really like it. Best regards from Spain.
I just noticed that your camp site looks very much like our 'North Shore' in Minnesota, United States. The water is Lake Superior where many of you past countrymen came to find work in the later 1800's & early 1900's.
That's interesting. Maybe they went to areas in the US that reminded them of their old homeland. I have seen pictures from there and it is alike.
I am pretty sure that is what they did - Minnesota has a lot of Finn's, Norwegians, Swedes and others from Scandinavian decent.
It was perfect 🗽☕
Looks a nice spot.
I love the music on this video, is your own?
How'd you get that table in your kayak?
Eric, where did you get that fry pan? I'd like to have one of those.
Suka banget gw sama vlog nya
Hej!
Erik
This tent isnt for 2 person, or is possible?
3.30 food and view perfect
What company makes the stove you used in this video?
That is a Trangia triangle stove
Hej Erik!
Erik
Erik Normark tack för input. Det blev ett Allak. Mot Sherwoodskogen!
👍
Making the same film over and over again? Perhaps it's a bit of a Zen thing 😉? Practice makes perfect.
👍👍👍👍
You know you can take off the tophalv of the tent?
The aircondition is way better then

You give us many thumbs up.
Maybe some day you will give us a thumbs down -- mosquitoes biting, snow mixed with rain, shark chasing your kayak, etc.
iviewthetube , rutting moose attack, frozen testicles from a dip in the river, Swedish income tax rates.....
Embrace the suck -- thumbs up.
