This is the first time I've listened to this. I've known about Ms Lene since the early 80s, but never really followed her. She's really quite an amazing vocalist and musician. This song is really outstanding. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do with Lene Lovich.
I still remember seeing Lene perform this live in Detroit back in 1983 and blasting the walls! It was her birthday, too! Fantastic song, fantastic artist ❤❤❤
Crazy, mad, amazing track from the wicked genius Lens Lovich. Her lyrics are majestic and her story telling compelling. A simply beautiful track from No Man's Land album.
This is Lene Lovich's "soul song". She and Les put everything they had into this song. They didn't hold anything back. Perhaps because they thought that it might be her last song on her last album. Lene Lovich did record two more albums: "March" in 1989, and "Shadows And Dust" in 2005.
Haven't heard this song for over 35 years. I used to have the cassette tape. I played it so much it broke and couldn't buy a replacement because it is out of print. Thank you for posting and reintroducing me to my musical love --Lena Lovich. Cheers😀
Bought the vinyl album on its original release always thought it should have sold much better for her with some great tracks. This track is probably the best.
Brilliant song. I saw Lene perform her Mata Hari show in London in 1982 in at the tiny lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. She had no microphone and I vividly remember being blown away when she sang Rocky Road. Amazing! By pure chance I met her after the show and she came across as such a lovely person.
Interesting. I once saw the Bulgarian Women’s Chorus at a Masonic temple in San Antonio. Acoustics waay too reverbed out for many and most musical styles, but that pairing was magic. I digress. Lene is a goddess.

I love them all but this is my favorite Lene Lovich song. It takes me far far away
This is song is so noble and beautiful and excellent and What a voice and the Synth just LENE.
One of my favourite tracks from this great album, I love Lena & got to see her live on her "no man's land" tour of Oz in 83, the best..🖤

"No Man's Land" has been re-released on CD two or three times. Check out Amazon or eBay to look for a copy to buy.

When it comes to music, this could be debated as the best it gets.

Epic.
This was so good live. Boris from The Cure on drums, and Thomas Dolby on Keys. At the Dallas Agora show anyway.
This is one great son from this album i love this record and Lene its great .
Wish you a nice day ✨🌞
Saw her in Toronto in 1980s perform at the Masonic Temple. Incredible live performer. Also plays a mean sax!
Its not strange that she performed there with that witchy style 🤪
Masonic Temple ? What shit is that....I was in Toronto about 1976....

Such a perfect song. Lene takes us on a journey...
Such a brilliant song
The most impactful lyric in this song is “to many useless martyrs”
still amazing!💥
imo, the best song on "No Man's Land".
How is it possible I never owned this? I feel like a Beatles fan who just discovered they had a White album.
Fuck the Beatles, that is OLD stuff...
I freaky love it too!!!
This is just pure awesome
We are all lucky to hear this.
Unbelievably low veiws.
A guy commenting on a Sleaford mod song introduced me to lene and nina
