The camera software is in early versions on the new S24 Ultra. I am sure they will even further enhance the software to match the hardware with future updates. Exactly as they done on the S23 S22 etc. Soon as they work out all the bugs in the camera system it should be even more impressive!

The S24 Ultra is the better phone overall. The improvements Samsung has made over the S23 is significant. I currently own an iPhone 15 PM, but I'm definitely buying the S24 Ultra
YALL think this isn't a big upgrade it has, 15% better battery, 2600 nits, more efficient screen, much better camera processing, 5x 50mp big sensor more ai to make it better low light, new gorilla glass way more durable smaller bezels, built in AI features, improved animations much better now, 12% more responsive screen, possibly satellite connections added later. 4k 120hz, 4k60 all lenses in one video, 7 years of updates, (value will hold longer ) much bigger cooling system, along with better ray tracing... slightly improved speakers and Microphone.... There's more comment stuff
The S24 Ultra looks crispier and with more details, we can clearly see in the first picture the details on the right the bridge behind the tree branches is clear and detailed and we can clearly see the true color of the stone apart from the fence in the front, where on the iPhone 15 Pro Max looks much more faded

It doesnt matter which one is better. People who like iphones will still buy iphones and android people will buy the ultra. Maybe one out of 10 people will actually switch. People are set in their ways and will convince themselves the one they like is better.

Thanks for the quick comparison not keeping us waiting. I made my decision, I will also stay with samsung. Samsung just showed the iphone they used exactly the same magnification with the addition of the 3x optical, they hit quite the sweet spot, it just proves samsung is not just about hardware and it is impressive for a device out of the box without the updates that follow to beat the iPhone on most of the shots, which had it's chance of tweaks in updates over the months from September
Yes, but Sami had to copy from the iPhone the default resolution of 24 mp. Why did they stay at 12? And if I buy s24U, how many times will I use the 200mp resolution?..And it also takes up a lot of space. And a slightly bigger battery, wash our eyes before buying. What I don't like about Ip 15PM, how it looks (it looks too fat) and the ios. The operating system and application icons look like old phone models. My wife has an iPhone 15 pro, and even with a video that I send from Android via WhatsApp, she can see 3 quarters of the screen. The rest of the screen being occupied with the right-left exit arrows...etc.

I see Samsung still hasn't addressed the over sharpening issues. This is the reason I gave up on my S23 Ultra. The camera versatility was great but the sharpening on the photos was horrific. The haloing everywhere was poor. I even resorted to using medium softening when that option became available but all it did was blur out the detail further. So horrible, Samsung needs to realise not all of us just views our photos through small phone screens.
That's a philosophical thing. Samsung camera tuning is closer to Asian style. This is not just images, but to some extent also affects audio. Japanese headphones and speakers for example also tend to accentuate highs to increase perceived details. The same goes when mixing music. Of course some will deviate from this, but this is the norm.
I like the iPhone 15 pro max pictures better in some it’s a tie but other iPhone 15 pro max looks a bit more natural. Skin color and night time looks great on iPhone I’ve made my mind I will get the iPhone pro max. Coming off a Samsung s23 ultra. There's a little less Super HDR effect in the sky this year in S24 Ultra But other than Samsang has better colour science + sharpness + Overall better HDR AI
Are you for real?, sorry to say this but from a photographer’s point the iPhone is way more colour accurate than the Samsung, if you like over saturated colours then go for the Samsung but if you prefer a camera that’s as close as what your eyes see then go for iPhone.

Both are impressive giving the clear edge in still photos to Sammy while the iPhone is still king of video. What I wish Sammy would do is make a smaller version of the ultra with the same camera setup. Unfortunately if you're into a smaller form factor you give up some camera performance with the s24 or s24+ and may opt for the iPhone 15 pro.

Thanks for your fast review and comparison to the iPhone. I'm actually still using the Samsung S20+ as my daily phone and it's still a good phone that does everything I need. I could get the S24 Ultra with 1TB for EUR 1.133 in Samsung pre-sale over a corporate beneficial offer. I can afford it, it's not about spending the money. I'm struggling if it's worth the upgrade since I don''t really need a new phone yet. The main points for software changing to a new phone to me are outdated software and getting a better camera. The pictures of the S24 Ultra look promising. I'm a day one Android user. The only point that could make me change to iOS is the amazing long term software support that Apple offers. But I think that point is now equalized by Samsung and Google with the seven years of support. What do you think, is it worth the upgrade?
Perhaps Ultra gives more possibilities for photo post-production. If only there was an algorithm that would select the necessary darken parts of black (based on ai notan perception) This would be revolutionary for Samsung.
Hmm, never thought there would be a day where iphone is actually up there with Samsungs cameras. They both have their pros and cons. iPhone seems to have more shadows and samsung seems to have more light which caused them to kind of tie in the end. Now there are some features on the s24+ that you can try to see if anything changes, like saving the actual raw photo. Samsung seems to have more sharpness and detail, but when it came to night, i became surprised that iphone was somewhat dragging samsung. You seemed to dislike the yellow lights on the building with the iphone, but someone who looks at a lot of photography like me, i think 9:45, now both photos are amazing, but apples 5x zoom leads. The way that the detail is showing while the lights are bouncing off of it, and the distance of the 5x lense just looks so good to me. The darkness with the hot yellow tone, and its also very very clear. What I'm noticing on the S24, it's very good in its own way and its lighting is debatably better, but as you can see when you focus on the s24, you'll notice something missing. The S24 seems to struggle with the lights, and the detail then becomes blurred by the lights on the building while the iphone handles the light while still exposing the details on the building well. The S24 did do better on the LEFT side of the buildings detail, but on the ride side where most of the man made lights were located, it lacked compared to iphone. I'll give these a tie, and it really comes down to personal preference at this point.

I'm really confused between these two phones for more than a year now (previous versions too) And I think only videos are better on iPhone (pros), overall iOS lacks a lot of basic features - call recording - multi window, split screen apps - wired file transfer for everyday use But yes this video capturing ability on iPhone makes me again feel stuck on whether I should buy iPhone 15 pro max or Samsung S24 Ultra!!!!!

On the second picture, look at the floor, much more detailed and defined, on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I would never guessed the floors square rock pattern
As of current, I'm a samsung user but need an upgrade and in my opinion, i felt that the iphone had done a better job. Would probably be moving to an iphone. Moreover, the apple icloud service provides e2ee protocol which means data is more secured there vs other cloud services also since now samsung does not provide sd card option.

The ultra brings out your colors better even by a touch. But I could see the details of your skin better on the ultra than I can on the promax. Usually it’s the other way around I find but in this case I think you’re 24 ultra does a better job. This is the second photo comparison that I’ve seen where I’m thinking, the iPhone has just a twinge of yellow to it, not even enough to say that it could be a filter, but just a slight hue of yellow over the ultra. In some cases, depending on the subject that actually enhances the natural colors better, but I find that the realism is a little bit better on the ultra. I wish they could just mix them together for the best photo quality
The Ultra's main fault seems to be over saturaturation in the yellow channel, as seen in another channel's choice of yellow flower shots, the slight orangey lean in reds in this video, and the greener or more turquoise waters in this video. Luckily, that should be an easy adjustment to make in software.
According to samsung unpack, AI function will make more frame with one touch. it makes slow motion on the basic video frames. for example, anyone like golf sports, s24 will make slow motion their golf swing with simple touch. Stabilization also will do better than iphone 15 max regarding comparing video.
To be honest, you need to make sure that your display is switched from vivid to natural. That could greatly change the saturation of the colors as well. I still find my ultra to provide higher level of detail when zoomed in, especially with the 200 megapixel camera.
I am switching from iPhone Pro to the S24 Ultra. I had the iPhone for 6 months and feel like I got a missing arm. I get the Apple Eco System but I have powerful PC where a Mac can't compete with. Transferring data is such a pain, Face ID personally hurts my eyes. (it shoots a bunch of lasers your eyes which hasn't been tested long term.) I miss the fingerprint and all the fun things you can do on an android. Btw are you Albanian?

They both have their pros and cons. iPhone seems to have more shadows and samsung seems to have more light which caused them to kind of tie in the end. Now there are some features on the s24+ that you can try to see if anything changes, like saving the actual raw photo. Samsung seems to have more sharpness and detail, but when it came to night, i became surprised that iphone was somewhat dragging samsung. You seemed to dislike the yellow lights on the building with the iphone, but someone who looks at a lot of photography like me, i think 9:45, now both photos are amazing, but apples 5x zoom leads. The way that the detail is showing while the lights are bouncing off of it, and the distance of the 5x lense just looks so good to me. The darkness with the hot yellow tone, and its also very very clear. What I'm noticing on the S24, it's very good in its own way and its lighting is debatably better, but as you can see when you focus on the s24, you'll notice something missing. The S24 seems to struggle with the lights, and the detail then becomes blurred by the lights on the building while the iphone handles the light while still exposing the details on the building well. The S24 did do better on the LEFT side of the buildings detail, but on the ride side where most of the man made lights were located, it lacked compared to iphone. I'll give these a tie, and it really comes down to personal preference at this point.

I'm really confused between these two phones for more than a year now (previous versions too)
And I think only videos are better on iPhone (pros), overall iOS lacks a lot of basic features
- call recording
- multi window, split screen apps
- wired file transfer for everyday use
But yes this video capturing ability on iPhone makes me again feel stuck on whether I should buy iPhone 15 pro max or Samsung S24 Ultra!!!!!
@@pbdivyesh Definitely personal preference. If you're looking for technology and a phone thats ACTUALLY pro, definitely stick with Samsungs, but if you like simple, yet good technology, definitely go for an iphone
at 9:45, all the other photos of that building and selfie portrait iphone wins, but all the others samsung. like: 9:08
On the second picture, look at the floor, much more detailed and defined, on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I would never guessed the floors square rock pattern

As of current, I'm a samsung user but need an upgrade and in my opinion, i felt that the iphone had done a better job. Would probably be moving to an iphone. Moreover, the apple icloud service provides e2ee protocol which means data is more secured there vs other cloud services also since now samsung does not provide sd card option.

The ultra brings out your colors better even by a touch. But I could see the details of your skin better on the ultra than I can on the promax. Usually it’s the other way around I find but in this case I think you’re 24 ultra does a better job. This is the second photo comparison that I’ve seen where I’m thinking, the iPhone has just a twinge of yellow to it, not even enough to say that it could be a filter, but just a slight hue of yellow over the ultra. In some cases, depending on the subject that actually enhances the natural colors better, but I find that the realism is a little bit better on the ultra. I wish they could just mix them together for the best photo quality
The Ultra's main fault seems to be over saturaturation in the yellow channel, as seen in another channel's choice of yellow flower shots, the slight orangey lean in reds in this video, and the greener or more turquoise waters in this video. Luckily, that should be an easy adjustment to make in software.

Remember natural is not better, and Samsung specifically said their algorithm is to make picture look pleasing not natural
According to samsung unpack, AI function will make more frame with one touch. it makes slow motion on the basic video frames. for example, anyone like golf sports, s24 will make slow motion their golf swing with simple touch. Stabilization also will do better than iphone 15 max regarding comparing video.
Let's not forget that most of us are not professional photographers 😂

It is 12 MP for all its lenses! Even the 3x takes upscaled 12 MP pictures.

To be honest, you need to make sure that your display is switched from vivid to natural. That could greatly change the saturation of the colors as well. I still find my ultra to provide higher level of detail when zoomed in, especially with the 200 megapixel camera.
That's only when viewing through the phone display. If the image is exported, it won't be affected by that setting.

I am switching from iPhone Pro to the S24 Ultra. I had the iPhone for 6 months and feel like I got a missing arm. I get the Apple Eco System but I have powerful PC where a Mac can't compete with. Transferring data is such a pain, Face ID personally hurts my eyes. (it shoots a bunch of lasers your eyes which hasn't been tested long term.) I miss the fingerprint and all the fun things you can do on an android. Btw are you Albanian?
