I thought this was a really thorough and helpful video. I am not nearly as concerned about having this test as I was before watching this. Thank you very much.
They had better sedate me heavily for this. There's absolutely no way in hello I could ever get through this torture and humiliation without heavy sedation.
That's what I'm telling them now. A-hat said it was nothing. This doesn't sound like nothing. Especially not when this "medical professional" was knowingly dealing with someone with serious anxiety problems. Then this damn UA-cam video for the explanation to boot. I couldn't be more disgusted. The BS they give you for mentioning what you read on the internet, tell you a test is nothing and finally explain it at the last second with a UA-cam video. Yeah sure I trust these people and believe they want to make it as comfortable as possible. I couldn't dislike this Dr more, at this point. Trust him as much as a used car salesman now.
@@IMOO1896 I guess I kinda already knew that, but there's absolutely no way I could survive that. This is truly inhumane. I'd probably unalive before I would try it.
@@IMOO1896 I don't have to be put out. But I need a lot of anxiety help. Awake, but calmed enough to allow it to happen. Physically and mentally. NTM, He hasn't even done an examination. Just an ultrasound to see what was left over. They cancelled, he won't try flomax and still didn't want to answer my questions and was getting aggravated. It was all one question and he still wouldn't really answer it. And he has horrible reviews. I believe I am asking for another provider. "45 years and I never heard your symptoms" He's that lazy that he told me BS like that rather than helping me be informed and comfortable. And 1st thing is to sign some BS saying my questions were answered and I feel well informed. Flomax could show a good result in 2 days and dude is going to make me do this test before prescribing it to me anyway. While I have an extra 30 days of discomfort.
The pictures all have people smiling. “You’ll sit in a comfortable chair”…like they had to think of one thing good to say. Take Tylenol to help the discomfort…that means pain. Take a deep breath as the catheter is passed…that means pain. It’s usually not as bad as you think…what if it is? I would find it so much better if they’d just say it’s horribly degrading and it’s painful, but you need it. I went through cancer and the lies that were told to me made me never go back for follow ups. The sweeter these people talk, the worse they’re lying to you. It’s infuriating.
Those urethras and bladders are way bigger than a humans. It makes the test look like a car driving down the road with space each side. The cath has to be pushed in as urethras are quite tight.
Im scheduled in June . The prep is clear liquids for dinner the night before and a fleets enema. The the morning of study continue with clear liquids. I haven't seen any videos or printed information that has this type of prep. ???? Thanks so much..
My Doctor wouldn't tell me what it was and described it as nothing. And this video is what I got when I demanded to know what they plan to do with my body. I bet $1000 the 1st thing they want is for me to sign something saying I am fully informed and my questions are answered. And I'm going to leave screaming by the end. I don't like liars.....
Thanks for the explanation, but this looks nasty to me. The very idea of a catheter is enough to make me cringe, especially when it has to pass the prostate. It also looks like a rather embarrassing test.
Be grateful you've never experienced the humiliation of childbirth when everyone wants a look up your vag and even puts their hands up there. Toughen up Sonny!
How can you even think about comparing this to an EKG. Absolutely nothing like one. There's no unnecessary insertion of any objects in private parts with an EKG. So I'll pass. And you know no man would have a woman do this. Just take an ultrasound

Just had this done, it wasn't bad at all and the best thing is they found out what I need.Excellent video.
Thank you for all of this helpful info!

Can’t be sedated, you have to interact with the clinician

A comfortable chair? Not what I experienced.
Embarrassing and degrading
