My advice is to use BMW oil and not Castrol. It seems that this may be a cause for timing chain failures. And even if it is longlife, it should be changed once a year or at every 15k km (it depends a lot on how and where the car is driven)
@@UsualRepairs BMW states Castrol make their version of the oil so I dont think it will make too much difference. The timing chain issue is because they using sub-standard chain and gears. Should be a recall item really given how many 10000s have failed

Oil, air filtre and fuel filter must be changed. I'll soon have a video about fuel filter replacement
