I've been watching DemonDan's videos for a while and I was expecting to end with Potemkin tossing his opponents away and it switches to a clip from Dirty Work where Norm Macdonald gets tossed in the dumpster.

The dub isn't on the same level as the original voice acting yet I see...

I think the dub is decent, japanese Voice actors are just on a different level in general. I mean who is the english equivalent of Zato's voice actor, or Johnny's? Hell even Gio is Haruko from FLCL and Nonon from Kill La Kill and has one crazy unique voice. I actually like the dub though after hearing it in these videos, I will probably play with the dubs for a bit since it's not like there are subtitles mid fight. I actually like to hear/understand what the characters are saying to each other from time to time.
@@GriFFonRec4 Only voices I like from this dub are Sol and Leo so I can't say I agree and keep in mind, this is coming from someone who does like dubs, specifically in video games, a good example imo of a decent dub would be Soul Calibur 3, good casting, good directing, great delivery by most of the actors in the cast, including the extra minor characters.
@@LordRaptor Not gonna mention I-No? Her dub VA is amazing IMO. I personally think the dubs are pretty good. Anji and Ky have very fitting VAs and even May, my main, sounds a little silly and cute, like she's supposed to. The Dubs aren't for everyone, I usually keep games in japanese when I play them, but from time to time I find the dubs acceptable enough to use and it's easier to play without having to read all the time. Hell, at this point I've been watching anime for 15 years and I can understand the nuance of what is being said most of the time, but a good old fashion english dub is still refreshing (except in Neptunia games, where the dub is good, but they only read like 30% of the lines the JP dubs do which tilts me).
The more of these videos I watch the more the dub grows on me, honestly.
And I will still play them over the subs any day.
