I really dont know what it is that makes Dan unlikable but he is for some reason lol
He over-celebrates beating people 50 lbs lighter than him. Also We have natural tendency against bully like behaviour and he is always the bigger guy beating the smaller guys. I think thats why. I dont dislike the guy personally but I get the same feeling.

I think for me its the fact that firstly he will never be an underdog just because of his size, secondly the guy rips on submissions even though he is so massive where someone like Gordon gives opponents time to tap the first time he puts them in a submission and lastly the guy just doesn't seem to have much of a personality, I could be wrong but I'm yet to see anything that makes him seem funny or even particularly smart and this just results in him being seen as a bully
It's because he's big and powerful an average individual's technique won't work on a guy like him and he dose leglocks as a lower belt
For me it's te ammount of legs he breaks - if he was better/nicer he could do it somewhat slow. He is giant after all

Overusing a sub that relies on his size will not make him better in the long term.
He has an incredible leg lock game . The smother sub is more humane than him breaking someone’s tibia in half
But his size and weight class will never change in his competitive career. He has to do all the right things to get that position first. He just gets to cheat on the last step because of his size.
You get better in the training room you go with your A game in competition

@@Fartoogreasy i get that like most people think they can escape at certain times when they can't but also like don't suck, be ready to tap. there are so such more leg breaks during scrambles at the lighter weights which is why sometimes we see their matches seemingly tap "early" but actually it was just on time otherwise it would've broke. more of them just have the technical awareness to tap than the majority of the heavyweights who are less technical.
@@jassyjitsuu Tap does not help especially when a bigger opponent is spazzy. Take Nicky Rod who rolls spazzes like a monkey and that is the sole reason why Craig Jones fully declines rolling with him due to risk at being injured. Trust me bigger and stronger guys are a danger, especially when spazzy.

I didn't think there were this many whiners in jiu jitsu, or maybe the people in the comments have never done jiu-jitsu. We've all rolled with people 50 lb bigger than us and 50 lb smaller than us. 😢.

Ok this whole he’s too big to be celebrating horse shit. I’m dans size. It’s my natural body. I’m bigger and stronger than everyone. And in bjj it’s been proven so many times that this isn’t as big of a factor as in boxing lets say. I don’t understand this whole Argument that because of how he’s built he should be more humble. You could just as easily say well his competition should gain weight. If you train hard as fuck and win, it feels good. If you knock someone for being excited, you’re probably just someone who’s alwYs lost.
