Hit movie Coco inspires sale of guitars from Paracho, Mexico

The city of Paracho in the Mexican state of Michoacan has always been well known for its elaborately designed guitars. However, after the animated film 'Coco' hit theaters, the small town has experienced a huge boom in guitar sales.
The movie 'Coco' is about a young boy who dreams of becoming a famous musician--much to the chagrin of his shoe-making family. On the Mexican holiday of the Day of the Dead, Miguel finds a beautiful, white, intricately decorated guitar. After playing it, he is transported to the Land of the Dead where only music and love for his family can bring him home.
