I think they found out they messed up the card being dual promoters. So they made up a bunch of bs to keep people interested in a 2nd event.

@@joshgranstrom4689 do we have anything where he is actually explaining the reason he backed out? I find it hard to believe that’s the reason. Rod is bigger than Joey but he’s not in good shape at all - I don’t see him being able to perform 100% after the first couple rounds. My guess is Joey wanted Rod to meet a certain weight that was unrealistic for the timeframe.

@@joshgranstrom4689 the promotional site for the event still has Joey listed so my guess is they have him matched against another fighter. There’s a 20lb weight difference between the two and I think Rod is the only one even close enough to Marek to make a fair fight.
