So quite often a lot testings resulted in better time than the “official” figure by Audi, i saw a few with 3.4 & 3.5s, And this particular guy in this particular car in their particular track & weather conditions managed to get 3.3, so 3.3 it is~
I wish these reviews would all use the same metric for measuring acceleration. This video is quoting 0-60 whereas most manufacturers and some other channels use 0-62. I have seen one channel quote the 0-62 factory time of as the 0-60 figure (plain wrong), and Top Gear (the TV programme, rather than the channel) compared two cars and quoted a 0-60 for one and a 0-62 for the other as if they were the same measurement.
The other thing that is bad is when people compare the manufacturer figures for one car with the real world figures of another car. There is also the problem of one foot of rollout versus none.
I'm really surprised they didn't make it a bit faster. The m5 comp and e63 are quite a bit quicker. I guess there is a plus/performance version to come..
It’s a balance of safety, fuel economy, driving dynamics, longevity of the transmission. How much faster do you need a grocery wagon? These cars are on the way out. Hybrid/electric are all the next wave. Who wants a car that gets 16mpg? 1000hp? who are people racing driving kids to school? Sad that people only make comments about how fast something is.

I think that it is an amazing, understated car. So many cars are so ostentatious and shouty. I am not sure that 2075kg is that much for such a large and practical car. A Golf R and Focus RS are both over 1500kg. Forty years ago cars were much lighter but they had no kit and folded like cardboard in a crash.
over 2ton, permanent awd and over 700nm, isn't something which could be handle by a street single clutch AND also to remain easy to drive by any woman when she pickup the kids ftom school. Could be done that kind of clutch street usable, BUT would be nothing about luxury ride..

I wonder what these do properly tuned, ie. stage2.. that's the real question. Is it the same 4L engine from the current RS7, RS6 and S8?? The previous gen S8 can be tuned to about 700 hp without building the engine. It's heavier and does 0-60 in 2.8-2.9 sec, quarter mile in 10.8-10.9s. :) The turbos to break later on though.. I've heard of this on a few ocassions. This is why I went with the supercharged A6 at 450 hp.

My missus ordered one of these in October., 2019. Still waiting. She got a demonstrator for 2 days last week. If it's any faster than her current RS6 Performance I couldn't tell the difference. The new car is much quieter. The dashboard looks much sleeker and modern. The most obvious differences between an RS6 Performance and the new one is the 4 wheel steering. New car feels more secure and agile but it's much quieter.

Eh, I would take the E63 S wagon over this. I think the mercedes looks better inside and out and it has a RWD mode which this lacks. I don't doubt that this will have much more aftermarket support though.

It was sold in a sedan/saloon body style only. No Avant/wagon body style but the 2003 model year RS6 sedans were sold in America. I’ve heard that around 1200 cars were sold in America in 2003 on several occasions and saw a very specific production number of 1,437 2003 models for the U.S. on a service bulletin but who knows exactly. Canada got 90 of the 2004 models the last year the RS6 was produced. Either way, the 2003 RS6 was the first RS model from Audi to be sold in America with the RS4 following later.
This Rs6 destroyed the Porsche Panamera turbo S hybrid on a ring. The test was done by the french TV show Auto Moto. And the RS6 performance model will soon be there :-)

The rs6 will hold the value 3 times better than the comp. Vw has always had a cult following from the youth and now as they grow up and can afford expensive 4 ringed vws the demand will stay higher

Volvo has a unique model called Cross Country that's basically a wagon with a couple of extra inches of ground clearance for some offroad capability. I think this RS6 Avant would just be a killer in that setup.
Wrong its got nowt to do with Lamborghini, the 4.0TFSI V8 is an Audi designed engine in conjunction with Bentley. Before you fet sll dew eyed you should not forget Lamborghini was s basket case and would not now exist had it not been for Audi's intervention and they certainly wouldnt be building credible cars without the input of Audi.
A big luxury sedan like Rolls Royce Phantom use 21 inch rims. Supercar like Aventador SVJ use 21 inch rims (only rear). Hypercar like Jesko use 20 inch rims. Big SUV like GLS 63 AMG use 21 inch rims. and this The one and only estate use 22 inch rims. wow..
Haha why pay £5000+ to get it de restricted when a remap can take all limits off for around £200 AND GIVE it another 60-80bhp. Get better aftermarket brakes yourself for around £300-400
Agree with most everything you said easily remapped loads of power to release. Brakes are 10 pot vented steel standard and Ceramic if you want but the standard ones are fine

Audi has always been insane with the RS6. It wasn't BMW or Mercedes Benz that made love station wagons, it was Audi with their madness. Yes, this car is better and even more insane. Since this may be last non-hybrid model, I wish they would make a RS6-R... you know something insane... something so insane that it would leave a mark in the car community like they did with the C6, a twin turbo V-10. A car so ridiculous no super car would wish to race it on a straight away.

How reliable this cars are 🤔 I mean surely every single component must be PUSHED to the Limit, Such as Auto Gears, auto clutches, Differentials, Cooling, Turbos e you name it 🤔
Not generally (there are always exceptions/lemons). There is a ton of tuning overhead. I have been running my A6 at 450 hp for 4-5 years, on APR stg2+, and I have had zero issues so far. They really understress them. I thought newer Audis are towards, if not at the top of the European cars reliability chart.

Sounds like the Merc is the fastest and most entertaining of the fast saloon cars. But the RS6 has the looks! It’s the one I’d have in my garage.

Gerald Holley regular M5 isn’t sold in the UK. Yea it looks good but it’s still beat by its competitors as a performance vehicle.

I mean surely every single component must be PUSHED to the Limit, Such as Auto Gears, auto clutches, Differentials, Cooling, Turbos e you name it 🤔
Not generally (there are always exceptions/lemons). There is a ton of tuning overhead.
I have been running my A6 at 450 hp for 4-5 years, on APR stg2+, and I have had zero issues so far.
They really understress them. I thought newer Audis are towards, if not at the top of the European cars reliability chart.

That’s the point. It’s a bigger car than the RS4 because some people want or need the space. All large vehicles are heavy.
Looks like it has a lot of body roll! More than a E63 or M5
