Thanks for the video; it helped in fixing my leaking G.T. Mine appeared to be leaking from around the crimp clamp, not sure if valve replacement was actually necessary; but it's done nonetheless now and appears to be working as new again. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. I had a similar problem. But instead of replacing the valve I disassembled it and rinsed it out. Reassembled it and no more leaking.
Very helpful video! One suggestion: Rather than just trying to keep the dose and grind dials from moving (a tricky proposition since the turn quite freely once the hopper is removed), I suggest following the instructions for cleaning and calibrating your Gaggia Titanium. As long as you have it opened up, might as well give it a cleaning and make sure all the settings are right! Search youtube for "Cleaning and calibrating the Gaggia Titanium" for the video from Whole Latte Love.
Glad I was able to help. This is my first UA-cam video. I didn't know about the 10 minute limut until I tried to post. I was surprised it was so hard to keep under 10 minutes. I didn't have plan when I started as it was my first Gaggia repair also.
Thank you so much! My espresso maker is the Italia and yet it is almost exactly like yours. I appreciate that you made sure that your video clearly showed the parts and pieces and explained what and how you fixed this. I really appreciate your taking the time to help the other DIYers.
Thank you for the excellent video. My Gaggia Titanium was leaking all the time; not just during steaming. The large coffee ended up looking like a shot of espresso with about a half cup of warm water on the counter. The instructions were just what I needed! My coffee addicted wife is happy again. (My original steam valve was plastic.)

This is excellent... thank you. My system leaks through the steam wand when doing regular brewing. I still think it's the valve allowing pressure to bypass. So your video is a huge help. We're in KY, so no Gaggia repair center nearby.... The last time I sent my machine to The Expresso Shop and they kept it for 6 weeks and were rude on the phone. So I think this time I'll just fix it myself thanks to you.
I need help please. My steam wand stopped working out of the sudden. No water, no steam, an whats worse is that even tho I turn the knob, the coffee maker wont acknowledge the fact that is open or close. I appreciate any help. The machine is making coffee as usual, no issues there. This happened after a ventilate issue.
Cheers. Great vid! I don't think you need to label the wires going to the heating on top though. It's a resistor. Now if only I can figure out my group blocked problem. Might be the motor. ;-)
Many thanks for this - was really helpful. Got myself a replacement valve (just 13 euros in Holland), followed your instructions step by step and fixed it! Thanks again.
Thank you so very much for your extremely helpful video! We had just received a refurb machine that took a shot in transit and the steam knob and valve had gotten out of position relative to one another. Your video helped me fix it quickly & easily.
Very informative. Hopefully, I'll never have to do this, but if I do, it's nice to know this vid is out there...
Nice, helpful video! Thanks. Will attempt this repair myself.

the split hose at 6:23 could have been the source of the leak as opposed to the valve!
Definitely agree that hose was broken and the valve was not.

Thanks, I will keep this one in my favorites! since I am probably going to buy a Titanium..
Great vid. You weren't kidding about the difficulty unsnapping the valve from the housing.
Fantastic, thank you so much.
