I think I watch every UA-cam detailing channel. You are the only one who takes them apart live and shows us the inner workings. I think you are unique and awesome. Well done Brian. Keep these reviews coming. Best to you and your family.
I appreciate this video and your thorough breakdown of this polisher. For the price it is fine for someone who polishes their car once a year. For everyday use the sound was a bit crude and who knows if it lasts or not. Thank you for this video!
got one of these maybe a year ago with the same deal with the battery set. I already used other kobalt tools and was pretty excited to be able to use a cordless polisher. But it ended up being a glorified wax buffer instead of anything useful for correction. After switching to ceramics, its been hanging on the garage wall for a while now.
I have the ryobi and kobalt one the ryobi is loud and brushed and gets hot but the rpm on ryobi is faster than the kobalt kobalt paid a employee deiscount years ago paid $80 dollars still going strong
Michigan here... great timing on the video.. was thinking of picking up a cordless da.. now I know more what to expect from the ones at a box store.. simple corrections or polish/waxing.. I think one could be a great benefit for my monthly waxing.. yeah... I like waxing over ceramics.. nice to spend time with my car.
This would be a great option for someone just getting their feet wet in detailing. The money saved would buy a decent selection of pads. Thanks as always.
Great deep dive video. I just took my shinemate polisher apart and changed out the grease. Super easy and runs much smoother now. Thanks for your advise.
Sweet deal. I've got some battery powered Kobalt tools. How about testing the new(er) HF Bauer short and long throw random orbital polishers along with the HF pads? Good advice on repacking the grease! Keep these great videos coming.
@@apexdetail85 okay. I have the Bauer from HF(before it was called Bauer), and I like it. I just picked up the Ryobi and I like it as well. I am just a hobbyist and working on my own car and friends and family, and it seems good for those. Thanks for the information!
Have you tried Lucas Red N tacky in any polisher? Would be awesome to see all 3 greases used on one polisher to see what one works the best or if it makes a big difference in sound and vibration
Hi Brian, have you had a chance to try the Mirka Yellow Wool Pad and the Zvizzer Range of detailing pads and products ? Seems to be some new Euro brands hitting the market.
Hmmm....probably not. You know Brian we work hard. We need tools that work hard too. If im gonna go thru the process of polishing a car, i need better results. I understand its a good price, but ill spend more on a better polisher. Thanks for the great review.
Better than this is a second hand old Rupes...you change the motor brushes, put on some mechanism lube and you're good to go...on the other hand this polisher it's like throwing money away...
To make it clear...this polisher would struggle on anything more than a one step or enhancement. Would YOU try this?
The battery and charger costs more than the tool itself
In a pinch probably. For a person starting out yes.great buy.if I'm going 2 get a cordless polisher as beginner shitemate.
If you need more power you can always use a 4ah xr battery or 8ah xr battery
Robust no, but for 1-step, wax, or sealants this is a great CORDLESS tool for most anyone intent on caring for their own vehicles.
No

I appreciate the kind words....much more to come.

It's definitely a dyi type polisher. But for somebody who just wants to polisher twice yearly it would fit the bill.
Great video and review as always Brian. Appreciate you doing these type of videos. Always enjoy you reviewing different local tools and products.

True that.

Which 1 works better for light scratch removal??
And thus, a free polisher. The real and best feature, cordless.

Exactly.
It seems ok for applying wax and light duty work! After you put some grease in it!
Thanks for the review!!

Cheers!
Great review!
Love kobalts orbital polisher
Dang - I have one in my cart as we speak. contemplating pulling the trigger LOL!
Looking forward to seeing this
Have you checked out the Milwaukee DA yet?
Next on the list.

Brian, I’d love for you to give redline a try I just recently repack my torque 10 FX with it made a huge difference for me.
I shall look into it.
I would think it would be great for applying liquid wax like Phoenix Glossom Wax😁👌
Exactly....or enhancements.
Thanks for the video! Would you take this or the Ryobi One+ cordless if you had to choose?
Great question....I truly would run from both and drive to Harbor Freight looking for a Bauer Polisher.

@@bdcd16are you still looking the ryobi?
It had a free amount of that cheap grease! Brian help me figure out the urofiber pads. They keep ghosting on me. What am I doing wrong?

An idea for a future video perhaps.....👍

I dont believe so.
Good video. This is perfect for 80+ years old detalier. I need a lot more power than this. The deal is awesome, though.
Someone just starting out would be fine as well.
This be good deal for someone just wanting to use to apply wax now and then
Hey, can i buy it from you? Here a polisher get so much expensive bc noone really buy the tool except detailing shop
Great buy.would like 2 see more power.def if i was a guy how wanted 2 learn polishing 2 start out.
Nice
Awesome video and product review good friend
Thank you! Cheers!

Great point. 👍
So the polisher with battery and charger was 173
Correct.
That's not bad
I paid 579 for my rupes
"I don't think so, Tim."
For that money, I'll just get a Maxshine, a better, longer-lasting machine.
Thanks, Brian. I'll pass. I'd rather put my money towards something with better odds of lasting.

Now I see why they give it away for free after buying the batteries & charger😂😂
Good video ,weak machine 👍
Nope. I don’t know why they don’t sell flex polishers they sell flex tools
I agree....its is a completely different division however.

Second
Lol😂
@jamesstewart1794 worthless right?
cheap plastic, and big ol battery hanging off the back to rub on the arm/wrist, nope.
Its pretty much a 150$ polisher. Anytime you buy a polisher it comes with battery and charger. This just to makr you buy it.
