Ajax for Void Intercept and Bunny for farming, these are your best starter descendants in early game.
Beat all bosses and Ajax saved the team on the last 3. Need 1 on the team for bosses!
I like intercepts, so Ajax is great for that. Pull aggro, res Bunny, give Gley enhanced cube, waste colossi frenzy mode because they can't break through the barrier cycles.
Finally. Some very helpful kit info. All I see is bunny builds 😂😂

For all those havibg trouble looking for the reactor idk if this guy either didn't know or forgot to mention it in his video the reactors on hard mode rotate every week if you go on the map and click difficulty rewards you can see all the available reactors for this week so wee have to wait and see if this reactor is available next week
Spread the word that shields aren't working the way they are supposed to. Hence the reason you never have them. That's why it's important to stack HP and DEF and RESIST especially for higher level void intercepts such as the Hanged Man and the last void intercept in the swamp. You can tank 10 hanged man hits before going dbno with high HP and Defensive Builds on your descendants, which gives you more time for DPS. Please help spread the word about this. I'm currently running 12k health on Ajax and I'm doing fine in those fights. Remember when you are DBNO= Less time for damage= less time for DPS bc your teammates have to revive you. If you can make a video on this please do it to help spread the word about shield multipliers and modifiers not stacking the way they are supposed to. HP and DEF is where it's at all day in the high tier content
Vow are shields not working like they are supposed to? In Ajax's case, he has fairly bad base shields and not synergy with them whatsoever (while his barriers inherit part of his health and all his defense), so if you felt shield performance on him was bad... Thats why

What is the resistance mod you prefer ?
@@moas8551 shields can still be useful on Ajax (its still a regenerating health bar after all), but you get more value out of health and defense than shields with him.
As for the resistance mod, there is two paths: eitehr pick the one that matches the activity you want to go for (each colossus uses only one, and the map can inform you about what to expect in a given region), or, if you are lazy like me, just use the omni resist one and call it a day, and let your defense stat do the heavy lifting
@moas8551 any of the Antibody mods are good. Toxic, Electric, Fire, and Chill Antibody are good plus they have Umbrella mods you can equip in addition to one of the ones i listed above, such as Polygenic Antibody which gives All Attribute RESIST @ around +500 for a capacity cost of 10 if you have room

@ancestraldragon I think it is intentional that mid power areas of the game certain descendants fill different roles. If Ajax could mob clear like Valby or Bunny, why play them? Also, no one has end-game power yet, so it might be that you can build Ajax to mob clear no problem.
this game is a cash grab before being a game. The melee is complex to develop. Much more than skills seen and reviewed elsewhere and tasteless shooting, that studio know how to do
Tbh body enhancement module looks like a most for ajax.
To those who dont know its a red module u get from one of the hardmod bosses,it removes the void energy but instead 22.5% of ur hp coverted to shield and defense currently i run 10.800hp with 107k defense.
i think when you go over 50-55k defense all what you get after that just gives you a little boost, 107k is probably too much
@@DeadlyShotGG the sweet spot for defence is around 60k, rest is just wasted, and better to dump into shield "with the overwhelming hp mod" and raw hp.
My Ajax currently have around 48k hp with 58k def, and my hp bar doesn't move at all
ajax is like the only character who's worth maxing defense on though since his shields scale off def and the damage they reflect scale off def too and in general it will help with boss fights not getting one shot by everything

Crit is better than weak point. People already tested it. Crit does 2 times the damage.
I'm going to be making an endgame build with his ultimate version that includes: Body enhancement, mid air maneuvering, non-attribute master, skill expansion, frugal mindset, battle of stamina, time distribution, max hp, max defense, and resource collector. I will also be using the ultimate secret garden weapon as it is quite literally made for ajax and I'm going to max it out at 4/4 for the maximum benefit. I will also be using a full bravery external component set for cooldown reduction, more skill duration, and a little bit extra tankiness. I will also use some mods that will go on my extra weapons that will potentially make me move way faster and give me way more defense.

Made almost this exact build, expansion was too good to pass up when i noticed it affected all of his skills. Glad to see i was making good decisions.
I’ve been using things basically just to stack hp and def. My gear is around lvl 62, currently have 8982 firearm atk, 5332 skill power, 29157 def which jumps to 47753 the instant I take a hit, 1 max shield, 3627 hp and 187 mp. I’m using shock punch, overwhelming hp, increased def, shield conversion def, time distribution and an iron will. I haven’t noticed any kind of issue with my survivability so far. Been trying to find a way to replenish hp passively since I can’t use HP collector at the same time as an iron will
Didn't read through all the comments to see if someone else mentioned it, but it's worth noting that Skill Cooldown on reactors is currently bugged. If you get a bunch of them with the stat, you'll notice that blue text is the highest cooldown and yellow text is the lowest, which is the opposite of everything else where yellow is the best.
Honestly, this helped much more than I thought. I was rocking 60k def and 8k health and very rarely died. Switched ti this and feel unkillable

Try using a ammo swap finder. You can turn orange ammo into white for lmg

Only works if you pick up the ammo brick. If you never use those weapons you don’t pick up the brick.

You can get the "Mental Focus" ultimate mod for the Tamer. that stacks damage with how many shots shot. Just got it, will test to see if broken.

I would recommend swaping the Chill Enhancement with "Mental Focus", that's THE bis mod for Tamer.
If you have Ajax Transcendent mod I believe it changes his ability from tech to Dimension it’s called Mattix Recomputation this Transcendent mod is very strong def boost by boosting you max shield’s show sure by what percentage but when I had a max shield of 350 it boosted it up to 800 shield not just to you but every ally within range
My ajax is 82k defense and 3k shield and 2k health. With other mods that boost his defs. I have it when I kill them it boost my defense to 120k I can give u the mods and the build
I was looking through the other descendants, trying to see which I should farm but it feels like Ajax already has all the things I want. I might look into Gley or Kyle in the long run I'm quite happy with Ajax, except for his V skill, feels quite meh.
What red mod are you aiming for?
I will try to farm Tamer, but I think I'm not far enough in the story yet.
I've done the math and testing on Tamer with a Crit build and with a Weak point build. It's not true that weakpoint is better on tamer. It's VERY situational. Crit is downright better as a "one size fits all" solution and works on everything. Weakpoint is technically higher dps "AS LONG AS YOU ALWAYS HIT WEAK POINTS" which varries from INCREDIBLY EASY on say Devourer where even a blind man with parkinsons can land every shot on a weakpoint. To basically impossible to land even a fifth of your shots on weak point with one like dead bride with microscopic weakpoints and ultra high mobility.
Allow me to back this up with some math. Tamer has 1.05 base weakpoint modifier and 10% chance to crit with 1.6x crit modifier. Lets roll a good roll on the tamer for weakpoint damage thats about 10% weakpoint damage. So now you have 1.15 damage when hitting a weakpoint or about a 10% damage bump. Pretty good. Now lets roll for a solid crit damage at about 40% (Both of these would be purple values) 40% added onto a 1.6x modifer would make it 2.24x crit dmg. Or a 64% increase in crit damage. Multiply that by 10% and you have a 6.4% increase in damage.
Now that 10% weakpoint damage sure looks a lot better than the 6.4% crit damage. That is... until you take into account how many of your shots are going to hit a weak point. If this was a sniper rifle, yeah weakpoint is the way to go. But this is a machinegun with horrible accuracy and massive spread. And you only have to miss the weakpoint with 40% of your shots and the crit build out-damages it. (On average, since crit is chance based.) If your fighting a massive boss thats slow and has huge weakpoints, or a smaller boss that stands in one place and lets you jam your gun barrel up his nostrals (Which both exist in good numbers) Yeah, weakpoint is king, but for everything else... including trash mobs. Crit is better with the tamer.
What i would like to know is what are the caps to reach the 80% reduced damage cap from def and res, is it level based? Enemy damage based? If its enemy damage then is there any information to know what are the caps for each bosses?
Focus on pure hp modules, have 3 def type modules like iron defense defense increase and an iron will, get his skill module that increases his sheild and def proportional to hp for a pure tank build, your guns will do the damage for bosses and mobs
iron shield is the other mod and it is better on ajax specifically because your skills that do damage have a big multiplier and skill modifier increases that

Great Insight man, I also play with ajax but I like priorities Shield over HP cause in battel the shield can auto recover and there is a modules that can recover shield during combat so that is pretty cool
Also there is an Ultimate module -I don't remember it's name - that gives you a buff +% in Defense when you kill an enemy so think about adding it in your build its good when fighting lots of enemies
wrong., his reflect scales off his def. ajax doesnt need shield. his HP and DEF are whats giving him his tankiness. he may have no shield but he will still be almost unkillable with def and hp.
if you plan to play shield tank then kyle would be your bet

i run iron will for a extra 130% def stim accelerant instead of hp amp for more hp and time distribution instead of spear and shield with shield i have around 56k def and without i have 84k def

Say you wanted mods added into ajaxs empty slot what are your preferences really cause it makes it almost sound like they could just be flexible slots for now till then
One flex slot for whatever resistance you want. I'd try duration to see if it changes his Matrix Computation (it turns his expulsion into a low cool down AoE defense buff for you and the party). You might want to put Overwhelming HP that buffs your HP but reduces your shield to 1 which pairs well with the annihilator set. Just stack more DEF.
What are your thoughts on using void charge Ajax mod? Or any Ajax transcendent mod in general
I got ultimate gley and she’s nice but seeing that using the same modules you have the same defense and hp I do while having a more enjoyable kit…..

One suggestion, Maybe instead of hp amplification, theres a yellow module called HP collector. I grabbed that luckily after about an hour of farming it. 9% of max hp regens each kill. Cooldown is only 2 seconds when you have it fully upgraded. 9 second cooldown at base level. Might even be able to use both later after getting the socket thing done a few times.

For some reason that reactor only works if you have the handgun equipped. If you switch to another gun you lose the skill power bonus.
I still have never seen that HP Amplification module. Is it a hard mode exclusive drop?

Would I level up hp first by resetting and choosing to lower the required slots for the mod or would it be best to upgrade something else first?
I found that increasing defense works really well especially since it hits two birds with one stone. Increasing defense decreases the amount of damage you take in general and your skills scale at 100% with defense, so they do more. However, I will say that the hard more content tends to be easier with more health.
Hp collector is the next mod you'd want to slide in, probably over cool down

Upgrading the Melee/grappling hook spot seems like the last upgrade option imo. it's worth 5 points at max, whereas every regular slot is worth 8 points at max (16 cost modules reduced by 50% = 8 points) At 10 cost the regular module slots are worth the same as the Melee/grappling hook slot if they are upgraded.
FYI the melee slot doesn't cost you points. It gives you extra points. It's a free slot so upgrading it all the way adds 10 points to the build.
@jdogg3046 yes, the module itself, but spending your catalyst upgrading the slot is not worthwhile if you still have regular slots to upgrade.
He's a fun combo of rhino from Warframe and the Titan from destiny. I like him more than the other initial options.

Enhanced void walk doesnt increase damage or range. It gives you a boost to your shield for a set duration.

I had ajax in the beta and turned him into a right tank and don't the same when the game came out....
wait just need to clear something up, you have Chill Enhancement on the gun but it is sloted for Fire Damage in its stats, doesn't the chill enhance only add to existing elemental damage, ie isn't that chill not doing anything but if you had the fire enhance on it would. Or am I wrong and you can use cards to force extra elemental damage of any type at any time?
if you read the mod it says that at base level it adds 8% of attack power as chill

@@chapternal the mod is. Burst adjuster you use sub attack increase def if you enhance it to max. Def 151% for every 5 secs you use it. shield, Defense Master ( for general rounds, and make sure you get the impact rounds also. And the purple one. it's 3 defense masters. Once you use kill one each weapon. It increase 121% def for 10 secs each weapon. So it automatically increase 363% defense for 10 secs cool down is 15 secs.

There is a mod that gives you 10.5% damage reduction at the cost of 6% mp. I can't remember what it's called. But that dr goes a long way.
