Thanks to the people who actually answered in the replies ! That's all i wanted to know before farming for my ultimate Ajax, it's crazy how difficult it was to find a real answer to that simple question x_x"
You can actually purchase the catalysts. The energy activator is 1,200 and the crystalization one was about 300. So in all everything else is costing 3,500 all together. In order to buy them, you have to go to where they can be used and there will be an option to buy from the shop
I was hoping for actual atk-def NUMBERS like difference from base stat to ultimate. Is there a time stamp for that instead of all these shop stuff being shown??
You can actually get the ultimate skins by farming but the pieces needed are like 1% chance to drop then each of the 4 pieces cost 450,000 co craft, then 900,000 to craft the ultimate skin which equates to around 2.7 mil in game currency to craft plus ALOT of grinding to get the pieces needed in the first place. These costs are for the ultimate bunny skin, not sure if the costs are the same for the others.
Don't forget to level up Shock Punch! It adds to your capacity, which as we know means more levels for other mods. Otherwise, it's a great video. It's nice to see it's not a huge difference like Prime Frames.
prime frames get at most slightly more base stats, which almost never includes ability stats. Prime frames are mostly for ease of access (easier to get than the base variant in many cases) or for aesthetics.
Not really there are differences when it comes to the stats of the character and also abilities but you can also get those changes by getting transcendent modules which you can grind for (not worth it 3% chance but you can get lucky) so if you get those you basically have a slightly weaker version of the ultimate version
You must understand that Nexon and Digital Extremes are two very different companies. Nexon has the reputation of running the most long-lived wale farm in gaming history (Vindictus: it is still alive and has regular content thanks to all the whales who are milked).
No. The skills and their stats are the same. That is not to say that Ajax's skills do not benefit more from his higher defense stat, but how much and how dimishing the returns are require more testing.
Can they share cosmetics with the base variant? Also Ive heard rumors that Ulti Ajax will get a diffrent skill that the reg one wont get in the last void boss battle
sorry to disappoint, but no they do not share skins. So when I unlock the Ultimate (AJAX) it comes with Skins; Conviction of Steel. These Skins are not available to Base Model Ajax. My Understanding is that if you purchase Skins for Base Descendants those are available to Ultimate Descendants.
Ok so the warframe example was $140. if the ingame currency is 10:1 in warframe that is $40 of currency included. For $99 is the prime, an alternate skin, and 2 weapons right? An ultimate in FD is 3000 which is about $55 and comes with an alternate skin. Doesnt seem so different
The difference is that 4000 Platinum in Warframe is not weighted the same as the $40 currency. For instance each part of a prime may cost you 30-50Platinum. so for 100-150 platinum you could go on the marketplace and get an additional Prime. The weapons themselves are weighted at $50 value in Warframe where you get no such weapons in TFD. For me these are not weighted the same.
the warframe currency platinum you get from the prime acces (129,99€) is almost equal to the highest pack of pure platinum you can buy, which is 179,99€. you get 3990 plat included in prime acces, the 179,99€ pack would give you 4300. warframe has coupons as a daily log in reward. you can get between 20% off up to 75% off (got it once in the ~280 daily log ins i have on my account). 50% is more common, so if you wanna use that, its ~90€ for 4,3k plat. one thing you forgot: the prime acces not only gives you an alternate skin (helmet) it usually gives more. right now, for protea prime, you get an exlusive syandana (cape) and exclusive ephemara (glowing aura thingy) in the most expensive pack too (in addition to the prime frame and the two prime weapons). just to give a more detailed insight in how you can do the maths

Wow, so you're paying $100 for a cosmetic, 4 extra polarity, some exclusive mods, and a very insignificant stat boost? Well, this game was fun while it lasted.
Just to add, normal and ultimate variants have 4 Transcendent Mods that can be used and are shared between the two. The ultimates however have an additional 2 transcendent mods they have access to as well. Allowing for some exclusive builds (such as the High-Voltage for Ultimate Bunny, that allows her to boss better). You don't have to spend money, as mentioned, you can just farm and unlock the Ultimate versions just like the normal ones.
After grinding and crafting ultimate descendant, will i get not only ultimate descendant, but new skins for free like from bundles for 3k or 5k caliber?
None of which is clearly marked or told. I am now a level 40 Ajax, and my stats are identical to the ultimate. Maybe seeing the character in the access descendants tab shows you the max value any certain character can obtain. Just from levels I mean
When you 40lvl. you can put in any polarity you want . thats basically free... taking that out of the way... basically there isn't any difference 😁 Thank You that answers my question:)👊
Yeah so technically. You’re paying for the ultimate character, the base skin for ultimate. The extra 2 skin pieces you get (even in the 3,000 pack), the upgraded version has much more value. I’m not saying it’s worth it, because the prices are waaaaay too high. However… Looking at how much basic skins cost (the school skins currently are 750 alone), premium skins seem to be around 750 or more. So….youre really paying for those
So the difference is their growth stats. At level 40, ultimate lepic has about 62% more defense than normal lepic. That’s huge when you factor in mod bonuses. But as far as I can tell, that’s the only stat growth that’s remarkable
I dont have a ptpblem with the shop and mtx style. The values however need massive tweaks. For instance, if you buy a color you should jusy have it end of story. You should get the heads and bodies together. You should be able to paint the base skins. The ultimates need to vome down in cost massively and the benefits need to go up. And material grinds need to be improved. Theyre too high right now considering just how much of it there is to grind.
I'd be way more interested in buying some of the boosts, for descendant leveling, for example, if they at least made them x2 boosts. Capping them at 30%? Come on bruh.
the big difference between them is the mod, some of the most top tier mod in the game can be equipped only by ultimate version, the normal version cant do that
Good vid. Tbh i would've loved if you maxed both to 40 and unequip the mods so we can see the stat difference in numbers. The stat diff you showed could be do to the fact your ult had a 40% def up and your base had a 30% def up. Once again great vid
Ok i dont want to sound rude but my man we want to see the difference between the base and the ultimate we dont care about dollar to caliber we can see that its 100$ simple
This video not corresponding to the title tbh. No hating my guy, but to clarify the Ultimate Descendants are farmable characters. (Skins because I don’t see any difference in power or skills as of yet) You can find the parts acquisitions via the research section. My only concern is that there is a 78 day countdown as of today. Does that mean you’re paying/grinding for exclusive skins, or are they going to be farmable in the future with many hrs of gameplay?
If you believe its flawed please explain and i will correct. The dollar to In Game Currency is weighted less. If I played BDO and bought ACOIN, 1000 ACOIN would equal $10. If I play Destiny and bought Silver 1000 Silver would cost me $10. If I play MFF then my $1 nets me about 110 Diamonds. If I play SLA my $1 is equivalent to 110 Diamonds. If I play Fortnite 1000 VBucks is $9. The point is the dollar to value ratio is way off in this cash shop and the weighted value of items is terrible when compared to a similar cash shop in Warframe. You actually GET the premium currency in WarFrame when you purchase a Prime, you get nothing here.
@@micahatcher3837 no it’s not 10 dollars for battle pass in every game 10 dollars for battle pass in the first descendant the price of the items in the game is less a smaller number than what they are in most games that’s why it looks different
@@lordsofgaming2930 just because the conversion rate is 10:1 doesn’t mean the value is the same you can’t say it’s a 10 to .5 ratio because the amount of money you’d pay for a similar item in a different game is the same even tho the numbers are different just because 10 dollars gets you 520 and not 1020 doesn’t mean you’re paying more cuz the value of that 520 is equivalent to the value of 1020 in other games for the same currency rate. The logic of 10 dollars getting you a smaller number doesn’t work because there 10 dollars still gets you the battle pass and you don’t have to spend 20 just like 10 dollars in [insert game] will also get you a battle pass
Honestly, if they give you 11 slots free and bonus slots are only a dollar, that's not bad at all. You only get what like 1 or 2 slots in warframe? Yeah you can get a few more from nightwave and stuff but usually you have to spend platinum for more
I'm really enjoying the game as a free-to-play player, but Nexon's monetization strategies have always been what eventually caused me to quit their games.
One thing he doesn’t tell you that’s VERY important is that the skills on the ultimate descendants are better than the base character. He’s minimizing just how great the ultimates are. 100 dollars worth? Absolutely not. 50 dollars worth? Without a question ONLY IF you’re going to play the game.
i would be happy to see these numbers, but if you look at teh numbers for skill there is no difference. I will look again, but I am not seeing it in the numbers.
you cant really compare warframe and nexon! imo nexon has done far more successfull grindy type games than warframe! Maplestory/vindictus those 2 games run till this day with massive updates and a huge playerbase! the cash shop will grow bigger and things will get crazier content will get better! this is how nexon works

But To nearly throw out 100USD and you get ess. Nothing for it? THat is a F---robbery!! As I said ...I personally have nothing against getting some help...Since you cant grind for 100h+ a week these days with family and life in general. But I dame sure would like to have some kind of sequrity that IF you buy somthing you at least get a value from it!!! Wich is preatty damn scary ovious is not the case; after listening to you my friend. So big thanks for this video.
I like the game, I even wanted to support it, but there is no reason to spend, everything is so overprice and/or offers so little in return that it's not worth it.
What's a trip is that you didn't even get into how crazy the comparison is just buying a normal warframe. The value is legit shitting all over TFD. The platinum price has a frame already coming with the reactor installed and a slot. lol
The base stats are negligible in difference with unique cosmetics providing that power per the lore. The big gain is the extra 2 mod slot symbols for capacity discounts which a base character can grind. When your Descendant hits level 40 you can use an item to add/clear a mod socket symbol but it resets your character to level 1, rinse and repeat for every extra mod slow you want to put a symbol on. Weapons with their proficiency level works the same way to add mod slot symbols to them for more mod capacity discounts. Essentially an Ultimate has been to L40 twice spending 2 x 300 coins of items and reset already before you start. Grinding Descendant and weapon proficiency levels is the main way to grind up mastery XP so in a way you paid to skip some grind but missed out on 80 levels of mastery XP awards you still have to grind but with a potentially more mod powerful character. The defense mission arenas are made for power leveling descendants and weapon proficiency levels. To max out mastery levels you are either grinding multiple descendants and weapons to L40 or the same one's multiple times.
Then again you can just not get a premium version of the ultimate decendants and just go farm Activators and Catalysts yourself they arent that hard to farm tbh
It would have been nice if you more concisely explained the actual differences of the ultimate vs normal, instead of basically ranting for 20 mins about monetization and if its "worth it" tell us what the main differences are and we can decide if its worth it. This should have been different videos.
It's the same bullshit like in Warframe. There is almost no difference. The basic def stat difference is so low that it doesn't even matter. Especially in endgame. The only thing you buy is a shiny character with a small headstart. Streamers and content creators stated the same thing years ago with Prime Warframes. They make no difference during endgame.

I'am very sorry for you.
does anyone know how to unlock the ""Advanced Material Backpack""?
It’s a in game challenge. Complete 10 research iirc
I don't like the non- thematic cosmetics either. It kinda breaks immersion and is just weird
the big difference between them is the mod, some of the most top tier mod in the game can be equipped only by ultimate version, the normal version cant do that
Good vid. Tbh i would've loved if you maxed both to 40 and unequip the mods so we can see the stat difference in numbers. The stat diff you showed could be do to the fact your ult had a 40% def up and your base had a 30% def up. Once again great vid
is this your application for the yap contest?
Ok i dont want to sound rude but my man we want to see the difference between the base and the ultimate we dont care about dollar to caliber we can see that its 100$ simple
I seen on reddit they give little bonuses and they are better then the normal versions
If I buy the Ultimate descendants (3000) and not the premium 5000 one, would the exclusive Ultimate descendants modules come with the purchase?
nope, good luck farming
@@yeahthatsme4863 Omg this game....how about the 5000 one?
@@HenryBleach it only includes what it shows in shop, i.e. no modules
Thanks for the vid. The info was helpful. I like the game but the Shop, like you said, need to change the prices. Thanks :)
Great video brother man
Its literally like warframe and destiny slash sprinkle of ANTHEM but just korean....it is sooo korean made. The UI speaks for itself.
That conversion rate knowledge is extremely flawed 😂😂
He might not have explained it perfectly, but it's still about 50% less than most games premium conversation rates like Rocket League, for example.
@@KingRichStayFit I never said every game 🤷🏽♂️
I agree great video
Oh so you can only have 11 descendants when there are 14 excluding ultimates. That’s a little fucked.
They want to make you buy more slots. Fortunately, they're only about $1 for an extra slot, so not too bad, but yeah.
@@dentari2626 I guess if you free to played long enough to fill those slots you can spend a couple bucks lol
Maybe once you max out all 11 slots, you can delete some of the descendants that you don't like.
Honestly, if they give you 11 slots free and bonus slots are only a dollar, that's not bad at all. You only get what like 1 or 2 slots in warframe? Yeah you can get a few more from nightwave and stuff but usually you have to spend platinum for more
Massively over complicated this. Not great
I'm really enjoying the game as a free-to-play player, but Nexon's monetization strategies have always been what eventually caused me to quit their games.
Needed this video
One thing he doesn’t tell you that’s VERY important is that the skills on the ultimate descendants are better than the base character. He’s minimizing just how great the ultimates are. 100 dollars worth? Absolutely not. 50 dollars worth? Without a question ONLY IF you’re going to play the game.
i would be happy to see these numbers, but if you look at teh numbers for skill there is no difference. I will look again, but I am not seeing it in the numbers.
Bro be yappin.
ong dude don’t know how to get to the point
Ultimate vs Normal Descendants difference is Ultimate Skin and nothing else, they don’t get extra abilities or stuff 😊
Ultimates have slightly better stats I found out. Hit tab in the descendants list to see the stat graph and compare.
@@k0bracmdr594 Let me check
@@k0bracmdr594 There's a difference, but it's very Minor at the base level.
@@GyanPrakash yeah that’s why I said “slightly” 😂
@@k0bracmdr594 😊😊😊
you cant really compare warframe and nexon! imo nexon has done far more successfull grindy type games than warframe! Maplestory/vindictus those 2 games run till this day with massive updates and a huge playerbase! the cash shop will grow bigger and things will get crazier content will get better! this is how nexon works
1 ultimate character is 100$ I’m good with base Ajax
just cut my damn hair bro
The Boost seam in this video; ...seasm to be the least problamatic to be honest.
Buying and Ultimate or god forbid an Premium Ascendent...Seams Waaaaaay over priced if you ask me!
I have nothing against paying for (In a PvE game) that you get some extra help for say 30 USD in progression between kids, work and life in general.(Sorry guys but its actually is a help..)
This game is really spendsive
Damn, $100 for an Ult. Character or would you rather get COD black ops 6… I already know.
Warframe has a much better monetization method than TFD.
Comparing a new economy to one that’s been around for about 10 years is irresponsible
I like the game, I even wanted to support it, but there is no reason to spend, everything is so overprice and/or offers so little in return that it's not worth it.
I don't normally say this, but 20 minutes of YAP WTF
you hit the nail on the head , underwhelming ,and overpriced , the shop needs a full recalibration fo sho.
What's a trip is that you didn't even get into how crazy the comparison is just buying a normal warframe. The value is legit shitting all over TFD. The platinum price has a frame already coming with the reactor installed and a slot. lol
Opinion: dotn drag out info that should only take 5 min to relay. We get how youtube works but sheesh...
Exactly. The grind is the same as Warframe for those additional polarizations, but they are making you pay way more for that grind.
Then again you can just not get a premium version of the ultimate decendants and just go farm Activators and Catalysts yourself they arent that hard to farm tbh
This free game is expensive
It would have been nice if you more concisely explained the actual differences of the ultimate vs normal, instead of basically ranting for 20 mins about monetization and if its "worth it" tell us what the main differences are and we can decide if its worth it. This should have been different videos.
i got you. shrunk it down in a follow up video to just the stats.
@lordsofgaming2930 that's awesome, thanks! I'll definately check it out.
Omfg u made a video that does not inform of nothing.
So its just look you pay for. Nothing else😊
There is a stat boost + they have exclusive modules
Its not UE5 assets 😂 that's funny. I agree some don't fit, but they don't have to, its cosmetic. Not functional.
23 minute video not necessary for this lmfao. tldr?
its not worth it to me i agree with u i hate this best in slot clone BS im not buying it lame AF devs
So its warframe.. ill just go play warframe then lmao
This game is Micro Transactions HELL 😂
I feel like this 23 minute video could have been summed up in less then 5 minutes...... so much rambling on and repeating the same thing over and over....... I got the answer from reading comments below faster.
Too expensive 😪
Jamust talking bullshit 20 minute long wtf
Its mad how popular it on steam charts. I really hoped this game improved ALOT from the beta but it hasnt. This is an Anthem 2.0
Because it's a free game that just came out with good graphics. Many people are trying it out. Give it a while, it'll go down. I generally believe looter shooter genres that are heavy on grind can't attract a huge fan base as compared to like Battle royale
Warframe 2
I am waiting for SoulFrame and hoping the Frames have a more Human aesthetic
