To all critisizing commentators: Being a police detective for 2 decades (not USA), I can tell you that "realistic" doesn't mean "as training from the book". Of course you learn tactics very differently and you would never expose your rear to unsecured ground in a non controlled situation. But, when the sh*t hits the fan, things tend to get sweaty and you start improvising and getting chaotic in cases. Training is the tool to controll that. This is a game. No training video.
If the devs really want to improve the game, they need to add more commands than “hands up/get on your knees.” Make this a big step up from SWAT 4. We need to be able to tell them to move somewhere, if only backing up to us with their hands raised.
Also make doors either open inward or outward rather than them opening in whatever direction you are walking toward. This changes a lot of the ways I would take a room.

No, a great way to get shot in the back is by doing exactly what he did at 2:05 . He never cleared the doorway to his left, he had no idea if those doors were open or not. @@victuz

@@hdofthegarden1360technically the first suspect was the one he forgot to press f on. If you hear they're bleeding out they stay down after being arrested. If you hear expired then when you cuff them or after a while they pop if, and if arrested already you have to re confirm with a 2nd f. Is that what gets you S ratings then? I've only got a few and never knew what decides it.
One thing that I really appreciate as an infantryman is how you're constantly back-clearing as you go through the building even if it's a room or area you've cleared before since you don't have buddies who can hold security for you 🤘
Oh yeah, if you try to swing a door and it swings back, you know someone is there. Kick that shit for a lengthy stun. You don't usually need to muzzle strike for compliance, but it definitely helps extend the stun while increasing their stress if the first couple shouts don't make them surrender. (Talking about the game, of course)
it isn't a bug, they can sometimes fake being dead, and when you walk over to then they'll try to stab or shoot you, he was still alive but surrendered properly before he would've gotten killed, pretty rare interaction in vanilla RoN

And I did shoot a civilian runing out from a closet on another map (I think it was the gas station) because it made me jump like this video and I pressed LMB by mistake :P

@@alexanderreeves6955 try to cuff as much of them as possible instead of just shooting - be very careful, fuckers can pretend to surrender and pull out a second gun, or stab you with a knife when you get close to cuff them :P Make sure to secure all evidences, report everything. Now you can also pick up arrested people and carry them to a different spot, so civilians don't get caught in fire from an opened door etc. In the end evaluation page you get everything writen down - why your grade is lower: pros on the left, cons on the right :)

Pretty incredible run. I love the as close as possible representation of "pie-ing" corners and clearing what you can from outside the room. Good use of the light. My only criticism is when you ran passed the short hall with two closed doors to clear the open area to the right. Its a shit sandwich of a situation so its a lose lose in reality without another unit there. A very good example of a "real" situation and the possible outcomes.
Was) siege isn’t this and I’m glad it’s not, I’m not necessarily always happy with where it ended up but I do believe that about 2 years ago it was a perfect competitive shooter minus bugs and shit like that. It was unique but with a tinge of realism that made you really think.
Doing room clearing solo is all about addressing the highest risk first and it will ALWAYS be a gamble. Speed is your security so use it to your advantage. Violence of action, confidence in your training, and keeping a cool head will be what gets you through. Probably the most dangerous thing you can do by yourself and it definitely shouldn’t be your first time doing it when shit pops off.

The game randomizes their behavior a bit, I wish you could have a "difficulty selection" of sorts that would determine if the NPC's were more aggravated or more compliant.

It happens, the AI can do this. That's why he try to always keep suspects in sight when checking the whole room. But the UI behavior depend on the suspect personality (terrorist and casual thief don't behave the same), their fear (one officer with a pistol is different than 5 with rifles, it also depends if they have a hidden weapon or have to get back their weapon from the floor. So, absolutely : it didn't happen here, but it could. And that's one of the best part of Ready or Not : the UI is awesome and make you pay attention seriously to your back and to "surprises" from suspects.
I liked you slicing the pie similar to how we did it in training as well. Overall great solo but with our department it’s mandatory with a minimum of 2 of us to clear a house, I’m sure it’s the same for yalls as well

Not a glitch, the suspect was pretending to be dead and yelling for compliance is one of the ways to get them to stop pretending. If he were to have just left the suspect would’ve gotten back up and tried to kill him again

suspects have the ability to feign being dead. Had it happen to one of my friends recently. They asked me why I cuff the bodies even when they're dead, a few rounds later, one got shot, called him in dead, and he got up and stabbed my bud. I told his afterwards "That's why."

Its just a ai, the image of team 2 is transposed into different uniform while using same and advance loadouts... like a beast mobster that are good to counter.... hmmmm it is a very good and little ingenious.
