If you wanna keep those goldfish alive and healthy you will need: 1) A 50 gallon tank 2) A VERY EXPANSIVE filter because goldfish are messy fish 😣 3) clear water ALL THE TIME 4) A big air pump 5) Clarified water 6) LOTS of expensive high quality food These are all the reasons why I think that goldfish are not good for beginners ☹️

To build up a healthy population of nitrifying bacteria. That converts ammonia into nitrite, while other bacteria convert nitrite into nitrate and phosphate. Then the plants consume the nitrates and phosphates. Tanks require enough porous material for the bacteria to colonize. Also , there is no filtration and that is way to small for those fish. Maybe a single betta. Even then the tank should be fully cycled before adding anything alive to it.

My concern is with the glass edge of the bridge. The fishes will have to swim under it to get onto the bridge. They might accidentally graze themselves in the process, especially the bigger ones.

Doesnt that make your tank overflow as soon as the powersupply fails? Other than that cool concept. Better use some smaller fish for the demonstration next time to get ahead of all the whiners ;)
The air pump he used to originally remove the air and pull the water up is still running on the other side of the straw. Since something is being removed, something needs to fill its place.
This tank is by far too small for any fish, let alone this number or this size or both combined. Show us how you build a bigger, more adequately sized tank for your fish!
I can foresee a lot of trouble to empty the water before being able to turn off the pump. Also, this fish tank is not a good idea if you have a power outage or someone takes off the plug by mistake.
It doesn't require power to keep the top full. It works the same way plugging your finger over a straw prevents the water from falling out the bottom of it. You only need power to pump out the air and get the water inside.
It's cool but if you want the fish to live happy you need a Bigger tank
