I also LOVE sharing tips/helpful hints that I've learned/figured out over the years (whether someone once told ME, or that I learned through trial-and-error!) so that other ppl can save time & money, as well as to bolster their courage & convince ppl that they CAN DO THESE THINGS! :) Idk about other parts of the world, but in the USA, bricks are expensive! If you or even a friend lives near a creek, or you've driven 'back roads,' you can load up creek rock & it's FREE! Pickup truck, trunk of the car, back seat, more than one trip/place, doesn't matter! Just make sure you're not trespassing & GO FOR IT! :) You can also spread the concrete/quick-crete, then just STENCIL a pattern into it! It's SUPPOSED to look NATURAL & not all uniform, anyway, so there's almost NO WAY to get it WRONG!! Paint colors, textures, etc. aren't SUPPOSED to match! The main thing is to make sure that any materials used are non-toxic, if you plan to put fish in it! And, the BEST & most FUN/HELPFUL tip (fortune saving!) is, here in the US, we have yard sales, garage sales, re-sale shops, Goodwill stores, Missions, Ministerial Alliances, etc., even a Grandma's SHED! Remember alllllll of those PLASTIC FLOWER POTS that have accumulated over the years & just keep being moved from one spot to another?! You can ABSOLUTELY find ceramic pitchers, bowls, etc. at these places, too, but the PLASTIC ones will work!! You might have to be more mindful of weather conditions, freezing/thawing, cracking, etc., but, if you're on a very tight budget, you can STILL build something for yourself that's GORGEOUS!! And, I guarantee you'll never get tired of looking at it or hearing OTHER PPL talk about how BEAUTIFUL it is!! :) YOU CAN DO THIS!! DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED!! YOU GOT THIS!!! Apologies for writing a novel, m'loves, but I sure hope it helps at least ONE person! :)
