I have the Godox VL 200 for my studio light and looking to add another light to my setup and the small rig is looking like a pretty solid choice.
Never check brightness with the reflector dish on. It's simply hard to compare because of the different dishes by different companies, who are more or less focused which may appear brighter/darker
How does this compare to Aputure’s 200x?
Can i attach an npf adapter above the v mount battery and use 990 i suppose?
Is there a fresnel lens on the market that will fit this?
Can you power this COB lights with Smallrig V-Mount batteries?
The umbrella hole is very high,seem like can use an umbrella when the reflector is on
Do you think the 220B Is essential for corporate work? Or will the 120B get the job done?
Have you used any of the GVM cob lights? I'm trying to decide between one of those versus the smallrig 120b
Go for the new GVM Pro sd200b over the smallrig rc120b, every day of the week. Here in the UK it will set you back about £10 more than the smallrig, and for that you're getting over double the output, better build quality - entirely made of aluminium - and a much more professional product overall.
Any opinion when comparing to Godox lights?

Hey! I don't have direct experience with Godox, but based on specs... compared to something like the SL-60W, the smallrig lights are MORE colour-accurate and will have more light output. You'd have to determine if the added cost is worth the additional light output.
Anybody know where I can find that xlr v-mount adapter shown @ 4:03? Anybody have a model number for it?

"COB" stands for "chip on board".
How is the fan noise?
In my opinion, very reasonable. I don't own a dB meter to test it, but Its not bothered me.
A bad umbrella holder is a showstopper for me. A parabolic umbrella is so much more efficient and precise then any softbox... I don't understand why this is always just an afterthought.
It's a problem on the aperture lights too unfortunately
