This is the second Warriors MAP I've hosted. A heartwarming also tragic love story about Sparkpelt and Larksong that happened in Squirrelflight's Hope. When Larksong went to find Squirrelflight who was in Starclan by then, he started remembering the blissful and heartbreaking past with Sparkpelt...
When everyone was reading Squirrelflight's Hope, I guess many people were focused on the argument between Squirrelflight and Bramblestar. But what impressed me most about the book was the tragic story between Sparkpelt and Larksong. I like Sparkpelt and Larksong a lot. It's a pity that the Warriors series didn't give them more attention, and there isn't much content about them in the fandom either. When I found the song "Spark" by Ed Sheeran, I felt like it was such a perfect song for them! Therefore I decided to host a MAP about them using this song! I hope more people who didn't read Squirrelflight's Hope can get a glimpse of their love story.

Applied! This looks like the sweetest map idea! Spark and Lark’s relationship ended in tragedy, so I love seeing MAP’s that highlight their special relationship while it lasted ❤

Going off topic: As someone who has read squirrelflights hope, I actually never realized that that book ever mentioned sparkpelt and larksongs relationship, and I'm so impressed that someone have managed to make a full on map call based on that tiny little detail. To me, the scene I liked the most is when squirrelflight was being revived and was sharing these little flashbacks and even some false memories with leafpool, such as that one scene when they grew old laying basking in the sun and leafpool teased her of wanting to become clan leader. I thought that that scene was really powerful and heartwarming and so is this one!
If I have time, I'm probably gonna participate in the thumbnail contest if there is one. I'm still a beginner artist and is still extremely inexperienced in drawing expressions, backgrounds and even shading. But I'll try my best!
(Forgive me for yapping and correct me if I'm wrong but I really want to point this out): And Sparkpelts expression in the thumbnail.. I cannot stress this enough on how well sparkpelts expression and the flowerfield was drawn. Sparkpelts eyes having a small, tear running down her face gives a sense of sadness, longingness and grief. Almost as if she's grieving for the past, grieving for her kits and Larksong, grieving for what could've been. And yet it is a stark contrast with the exuberant and beautiful flower field. But that calm expression, gives off a expression of slight surprise and realization, showing her finally being able to find peace, and through all that grief and pain, she finally saw happiness again, - larksong and her kits even if it lasts for only a brief moment. Its almost as if shes watching him from the top of the flower field. That scene instantly caught my eye, as if it was like the extremely emotional scene at the near end of a movie.
Aww, I love the concept for this MAP! I 100% agree that Squirrelflight's Hope sort of diverted the spotlight away from the heartbreaking Larksong-Sparkpelt relationship. I can't wait for the finished MAP to be released.
