      Sir tanong ko lang po, may nagpagawa po kase sa akin ng design analysis nung chineck ko po ung plano overdesign po siya. Ok lang po bang iba ang computation at mga size ko sa ko ng wire at breaker dun sa design analysis kumapara sa plano?

      @@danv.600 Dapat, kung anu ang lumabas sa design analysis, yun ang magiging sizes sa final design or sa load schedules/ riser diagrams, layout plans. Kaya nga ginagawan ng design analysis para makonfirm ang correct sizes ng feeders at corresponding circuit protections

    When we add impedances, we need to break them into R and X..then apply phytagorean theorem sa Rt and Xt to get Zt or total impedance, tama po ba?

    On your sample design, why we need to use one circuit for 10 outlets.. Should we separate this into two convenience outlet circuit to give a better design on voltage drop and such as maintenance purposes. Thanks for advance reply sir

      The voltage drop is so minimal. But Yes, that is also okay.

    Good afternoon sir, Do I need to do voltage drop analysis for every circuit or... just the voltage drop of the farthest circuits and use those as the basis for the other circuits?

      We usually do VD analysis of the farthest branch circuit and the branch circuit which has the biggest load. If these circuits have VDs not exceeding the required maximum value/s, then the shorter circuits or the branch circuits with lesser ampere loads are obviously less than the maximum allowable VD.
      However in industrial plants, it is recommended to compute the voltage drop of each of the motor circuits, sub-feeders and main feeders, especially if the circuit runs are long.

      @@willjac1tv73 When computing load schedules sir, d I need to include the emergency lights? they only consume 40W at most while charging and 5W standby

      @@Thedeadsaluteyou their watts load as you say is only 40watts, but you have to use the maximum charging current after its use. This charging load is usually higher than 40watts. Anyway, the alloted design load for an outlet which is 180watts is already enough to cover load of the standard emergency light.

    Sir, tanong ko lang, regarding 24VA per sq.m sa General Lightings and Convenience Outlet, kasi kadalasan sa schedule of loads, 100 VA ung isang lighting fixture and 180 VA yung convenience outlet, So ibig sabihin ba nun pwede ka makalagay ng ilaw na tig 100VA at C.O na 180VA basta wag lang lalagpas sa 1348.32VA n nang galing sa 56.18sq.m X 24 VA?Salamat po

      230v is used because the location of the faults in the SC studies is at the main panelboard where the voltage should be 230v. This is to differentiate from the voltage at the secondary of the DT which is 240v and the utilization voltage which is 220v at the terminals of motors or other loads.

    Good day po sir. meron lang po ako sanang itatanong regarding induction motor.
    1. meron po bang table para malaman ko po ang sub transient reactance for induction motor gamit ang nameplate rating ng motor? Kung sakaling meron po table for it pwede po ba ako makahingi ng copy?
    2. can i determine the percent impedance or reactance using the locked rotor current/ampere (LRC/LRA) and its X/R ratio?
    Sana masagot nyo po ang aking katanungan.

    Ang concern ko sir is about this ground wire. Ang electric supply natin lalo na sa residential ay dalawa lang wire at walang ground wire. Bakit maglalagay ng ground wire sa mgq motor load

      The ground wire is for safety. It keeps the potential of the casing or metallic parts as low as possible.
