I have a question po sir with respect " In sizing branch ckt. rating and OCPD of a single/three phase motors like ACU, your computation was by multiplying HP rating to 746 W divided by 0.8 pf and 0.9 eff. while in 10.1.2 LOAD SCHEDULES & DESIGN COMPUTATIONS 1 PHASE" You said that we refer to PEC for full load rating of motor, I've assume it is Table 4.30.14.2 (Full-load Amps of Single Phase Motors) because in your load schedule " 1HP ACU full load rating is 8 Amp which is indicated in Table 4.30.14.2, but if we use I = 1HP x 746W / 230V x 0.8 x 0.9 eff = 4.5 A only. What should we use ?
The use of 8A as full load current is more of a safe assumption in the design analysis for sizing the service entrance since there is only one AC unit in the sample calcs.

The FLC indicated on nameplates is the most accurate value. However, if this is not available, then values of FLCs indicated in code can be used anytime, when you have the code by your side. But if you are in the field and these data are not readily available, then a value computed using the indicated formulas can be used.

I always try to do my design on the safer side. You see, If you have 1 outlet and the appliance connected is 180va, then they are right. But if you have 2 outlets (duplex), if you already have a 180va appliance plugged in and there is still another hole, chances are the 180va load will be breached when another appliance is plugged in. And this is more so if there are holes (triplex).

Generally, habang tumataas ang AF ng isang CB, mas mataas ang kanyang kiloampere interrupting capacity o KAIC, to open a circuit during a short circuit. Ibig sabihin, pwedeng 100AF 70AT 3P ang isang breaker, pwede din 225AF 70AT 3P, mas mataas ang KAIC rating nung 225AF kesa 100AF. Pwede din 600AF 500AT 3P pero pwede ding 1200AF 500AT 3P ang isang breaker. Pag nakompute mu ang level ng SC current sa isang bus ay napaka taas, pipili ka ng breaker na tutugma o mas mataas ang KAIC nito sa nakompute mu na SC current.

One ground wire per circuit or feeder is enough.
