Singles & doubles' Rallies are so spectacular. Being able to watch it ALL HERE is incredible. Greatest and deepest respect to the uploaders.
Fan Zhendong is in the clouds, wow! How he counters Xu Xin’s spiny loop with almost flat angle to cross table, is the best backhand technique against heavy topspin I have ever seen.
His footwork and anticipation once he gets away from the table is sloppy though.The forehand hes makes at 4:18 is just cringy.How long will he last with all that squatting and jumping?

FZD, after losing in Diamond 2019 at Singapore, has sharpened and improved his game to an unprecedented level. If not out of form, I don't think anyone can go past him this year.
a good match. FZD now plays smarter. he knows better when to use power and when to withhold it and apply other techniques instead to return a ball, which makes the game more fun to watch. XX's backhand has improved a lot and this makes him even more difficult to deal with.
FZD, with his new/wonderful BH block, he'll be No. 1 for a loooong time. Might have to thank the loss to LYJ's perfect BH flick in T2 Diamond that forced him to develop/perfect this technique. He retaliated in Nov 2019 Austrian QF but it seems he's advanced even more here. Both know each other's game so well, only on-court performance can decide the difference. Happy and enjoy it so much. Fan Zhendong just finished a match with another player and 30 minutes later, he played with Xu Xin. Obviously in game 2 and game 3, Fan was exhausted. After winning game 4, he was back again. Really Fantastic.
Xu Xin lost game 4 and this was the moment he steps down his inspiration and release the grip around Fan's neck . The youngster plays to win no matter hard or easy Xu Xin kind of regretted the lost set and his willpower was drained when he knew it is going to be by far harder match for him and the win will need luck or Fan to step down his game and Fan is just shaved of his nerves and turned beast mode .
It is interesting how much both push after the serve. Especially FZD usually has great opening flicks but both are cautious of the big counter loops of the opponent and neither really wants to open the rally so we see often 3-4 pushes before somebody opens the rally with a topspin
War of gods indeed - unfortunately xx couldn’t close the 3rd game when he was leading 10-7. With sheer brilliance fzd bailed himself out and eventually won the game . breathtaking stuff .
Só good to see FZD playing high level tt again. Last year was like he is not in the Chinese team. I would like to see his name as number 1 again. Xu xin as always entertainment man with lot of chop blocks.
Usually when 1 of player start to attack, the other one plays defensively, but these two players here, they always counterattack smash with smash.. that's why they are the goat in table tennis until now
never found FZD's game that appealing but tactically and technically, he was on pt with some super counters especially on the backhand to disrupt XX's FH centric approach. Not easy to pull off.
I played a guy in ping pong( table tennis) same thing. Anyway this guy had a spin on his serve that made you nervous because if you didn't hit it back right it would hit the net. If you got a killer serve you can beat your opponent pretty easy. I love table tennis though. I grew up playing it at the recreation center growing up. I absolutely love ping pong. I mean table tennis. Lol
