How powerful is this class compared to ele, necro, guar, engi?

I would love to be able to give a straight answer on this but unfortunately it's not as simple as that! Any of these classes can be very powerful, depending on how you set it up! I would say that the Necro and Guardian are easier to be powerful with so better for new players but the Soulbeast is a really powerful class with very good power and condition damage builds to use 😊 it's also very fun to play with all of the different beast abilities to choose from!

Soulbeast can be a very decent DPS and you're spot on when you say that the Druid is an excellent healer 😊 the Celestial Avatar skills are all based around healing so they're perfect in a support role in a group situation 😊 if you check out my class guide playlist, I've got a video on the Druid as well for you to check out 😃

For anyone seeing this later it looks like they changed the "Eternal Bond" ability to say as of 5/1/23;
"Heal when you use a merged skill. You can swap pets while merged. Healing: 616"

So, I'm kind of looking to have just an archer and pet build; no casting or melee weapons. Can you play ranger with no elite spec?

You can go with three base specs and use a couple of ranged weapons like the longbow and shortbow 😃

With the Soulbeast, you can go Dagger/Axe & Longbow for a power build and perhaps Dagger/Dagger & Shortbow for a condition build 😃
