Hi there Ph.D. is not about any single text or two. The proposed research should be enough to reflect a broader view. Thus, you can deal with Shashi Deshpande's or Meena Kandasamy's writings with reference to certain theme or through comparative analysis (if possible). Although, you can write a research paper on any of the novel keeping in mind the area of interospection. Hope it helps!
