I differ from you in that there should be a secondary source to prepare a 500-700 pages Thesis. Researchers can work on an absolutely new topic, that does not have any secondary sources.

Apply “Conceptual Metaphor Theory” see how different writers have employed different conceptual metaphors, authors with diverse ethnicities would offer a better comparison, like you can establish some communalities in the usage of metaphors in different cultural contexts.
Mam, I have a query. Is it possible that in respect to your second point, there are two writers of different country and different ages. Their novels are not similar in theme. But one of the characters in their novels has certain similarities from some points. And a student wants to study that one, can this be done ?
