Love the candor of your WIP and Chats. From your likes and dislikes to everyday life. Sometimes I need a certain kit to lift me up. I’ve tried pushing through and it made me miserable. Your trial and errors are so helpful and make me feel normal , which I appreciate it. In Alabama I’m having a rough time with my putties. I did try refrigeration and it work fine until I heated it up. I’m just going to keep trying until I find the right summer combo. I’m sincerely sorry you’re going through this hard time with jobs and stress. We should be here for you like you’ve been for us. It’s ok not to always be sunshine and rainbows. You’ll be in my prayers. Severa years ago, we hit rock bottom and lost jobs and everything else. I thought we were doomed. Times were rough but we always made do and came out so much better than before. You can do it. I’m so happy the boys week were a good victory. Happy Anniversary to you and Adam. Sometimes time alone is the best. I also got the Munimade kit with the cat and it’s my first. Looking forward to make more time for painting. Thanks for another day🐱🐈✨
i definitely associate my diamond art either with my mood, surroundings or what’s going on in my life. in my log book i include what i was watching or listening to while working on a piece as well. which is why i like to keep a few wip’s going at a time so i can pull onto one that may be more in tune with how i’m feeling that day 🐕🐕
🧸Sending hugs. You are such an inspiration and much appreciated. The not-so-good times will pass and the sun will shine bright again. You are doing an amazing thing with how you are handling it all…such strength and wisdom. But remember that it’s perfectly ok to not be ok sometimes. Straighten your crown and keep going. Hi Katie ❤ thanks for another awesome wip n chat! As a fellow endo sufferer, I can totally relate to your fatigue. I’ve been having issues myself with low iron and I’ve been told that I’m going to need to have my third endo surgery 😢 I hope that you find some relief soon while you wait for your procedure, we will all completely understand if you need to take some time out for yourself. Your health always comes first! ✨

Hey Katie, you are our safe place, but it goes both ways. Adam will get a better job than he had before. I'm anemic too & so is my mom, she gets a iron transfusion & haemoglobin transfusion, once a year. Instead of surgery, could that be an option for you. I'm praying for both you & Adam. May you both be pleased with good health, happiness, and wealth. Sending you lots of Aroha❤ (love in Māori). I live in New Zealand.😊

🐶The kit I am working on is a black and golden lab in a field - with sun set. It is a gift for my sister in law. She has a red and a black lab. I would consider changing some of the drill colors to make this yellow a bit darker so it matches her dog.... But, I only picked up this hobby 6 months ago and don't feel comfortable enough doing that yet. 🦩

To start answering some questions that you asked in the video. I'm not an awesome content creator like you, so every painting I purchase I have an emotional connection with. It's just how to decide which I want to do next. I only work on one painting at a time. I'm still working on my #summerwiththemasters2024 piece, "Cafe Terrace at Night" but I'm very close to being finished!
When my two sons were young I put them in swim lessons also. The lessons were sponsored by American Red Cross but were held at our local recreation center. I have a Connor also and I am so glad he is enjoying VBS.
I will be praying for you and especially Adam that he can find a job quickly. I know it's a scary and uneasy time. I also just kind of "circle the wagons" during stressful times like you do; but I also want to thank you for opening up your life to us along with your struggles and victories.
You do not have to be upbeat and happy all the time. That is not realistic. I respond to you and your videos because you allow us to be part of your life and that you are so human.

Thanks for another good WIP n’chat. I’m on vacation at my in-laws. We get along great so that’s nice. I have been making DP pens and I miss that terribly and am anxious to get home and work on them.

I’m glad that you’re taking time for self-care. I don’t feel like you were throwing a pity party. Sometimes things are legit bad and being able to talk through them or work through them is important.

Thanks for the WIP and chat. My current is Autumn Glory by Abraham Hunter, DAC, my all time favorite colors are in this painting. Summer time and hot temperatures are stressful for me so these fall colors relax my brain. I even like to work on my Christmas paintings too. Hope Adam finds a great job. About the temperature kit. If it doesn’t give you joy and you have another 6 months-let it go! Youve spent enough time and energy and know you’re not loving it. Move on-Im sure you can find something else to work on. And This humidity is wreaking havoc with my putty! Going to try putting it in the freezer. Happy week!❤❤❤
I thought I was the only one who associated certain senses with certain feelings. For example, certain smells can bring back memories that put me in a certain mood and I will also recall what I was doing when I was working on something it’s funny how our minds work.
Sending lots of hugs Katie! Just saying “been there, done that” and “this will also pass”! You are entitled to feel that it is blah though, everyone is! Try to get some good supplements on top of your normal tablets and go hard on the veggies! I know exactly how you feel! Don’t forget to rest!! There is light in the end of the tunnel! ❤❤❤
It's okay to not force yourself to work on something you're not loving right now. You could put it in timeout.
I'd like to destash some of my diamond paintings that don't appeal to me anymore, too, but I'm not on FB and I don't want to deal with ebay or etsy just to destash. Things aren't always rainbows and unicorns. If you don't feel good, that's okay. I hope things get better and you feel better soon.
I feel you, endometriosis is nasty. I was either anaemic or verging on anaemic from the age of 14 to 40 when the surgeon removed everything when I was also diagnosed with adenomyosis. I've not had any problems with it since. Best thing I ever had done ❤❤

I'm so sorry to hear about Adam's work situation again, Katie. I'm in the same boat so I completely feel you! Ever since the Panini, my hubby's work has been spotty as he had to change careers unexpectedly. He's now in tech too, so I know your frustration ❤ I'm also on the spectrum, don't handle stress well, and always feel the need to fix things so while he's not been working, I have shoved all my feelings aside and spent all my extra energy into problem solving the situation. I fully expect to shut down as soon as we have some relief...I don't have melt downs.
I had so many intentions for this year that have all gone out the window and down the street 😂😂 I eagerly await the turn around that the universe owes us.

Thank you for the WIP and chat, Katie. Love the colors in that kit, they are so 'happy'. It is definitely ok to not be ok! We all have those days/weeks/months. I am experiencing it now too. Sending all the prayers and good thoughts and vibes that Adam finds what he is looking for. Its so great to hear the kids are enjoying their summer so far. I don't know if I could have been as calm as you when the transportation department called. It has never happened to me thankfully but short story, my sister has twins, boy and girl, they are 11 now. Several years ago, my nephew made it home on the bus but my niece was not with him. My sister called the school and no answer, she drove to the school to find that my niece had gotten on the wrong bus and they had to find the bus that she did get on, wait for the bus to drop all the other kids off, then bring her back to the school. It was the longest hour of her life. The new rule was they had to make sure the other was on the bus before it left the school, or they had to stop the bus driver. Sorry your husband is going through another job loss. I hope he can find a more stable job this time. I can’t imagine the stress you are going through over and over again. We went through that once and that was horrible.

Hey hi hello! Thank you for being open about whats going on it makes you relatable we all have our problems happening throughout life and it makes it just a little bit easier to talk about it and have it off your chest. Sending hugs and hoping the job hunt goes well for adam! On another note i was working on pinkie pie by camilla d’Errico from DAC im almost finished with it! I was also thinking about destashing but decided not to and to just be more intentional with my buys. I know i will work on everything in my stash since i buy for the artwork and not for if it rounds,squares, i dont/do like the artist, etc. money has been tight recently so i havent been buying as much but i have been focusing on working through my craft stash. Not only am i hoarding diamond paintings but also yarn for crocheting and knitting. Ive luckily kept my cross stitch stash small and dont plan on expanding on it any time soon. Thank you for todays wip and chat and keeping me company while i craft 🫶🐰🐇🐷🐖🐝
I had Endometriosis years ago and the end result was having to have a complete Hysterectomy. It did solve my problem thank goodness. Praying you will get relief soon.
Im praying for your health issues. I certainly know what that is like. The anemia is not fun at all. I ended up with surgery when all else failed back in 2019. You will feel so much better when the issue is fixed! Im also praying for Adam as well. With regards to Conner and Micah...Im so glad they are having a good summer. I love your stories about them. I didnt get this kit that you are doing but I think I might! Love the colors!! 🐇🐰
🐯I’m currently working on my very first cross stitch conversion. It’s about 20 x 25 and it’s called Schrödinger’s Cat. It’s super cute! But I’ve already misread the chart once, which is weird since I’m pretty good at cross stitch. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
Curating a collection is never easy. I’m always convinced that I’m going to need/want whatever it is at some point in the future. But I’m trying to do better. I’ve been known to go a little out of control when I start collecting things, so I’m trying to be more mindful about it. I’ve managed to cap my diamond painting collection at 25 (not including mini kits) - granted, I’m fairly new to the craft, so that’s much easier for me than for someone who has been doing this for years.
Actually, to be honest, I’m kind of at 26 right now. I ordered a kit from Jaded Gem Shop last week and then Dragon Artist from DAC (#1 on my wish list) came back in stock, so I went ahead and got it using the logic that I’ll surely finish something from my stash before the kit from JGS arrives. I still only have 25 on hand, so that’s not cheating, right? 😂

Shopping your destash was the best!!! I live in the Northeast and so far my putty hasn't changed much. We have had some major heat waves but I think the AC helps. I will only use Pure Bliss Wax Co because that one has worked best living where I live. Today I'm working on my Summer with the Masters kit (The Soul of the Rose). I did my craft buddy book in June. I decided to count it as one large finish. it turned out to be like 136 colors and about 23 hours of work for me. So it's considered a full canvas in my book. I am still dekitting it. I started the process yesterday and couldn't do it in one sitting....or standing. My round drills are in a tall drawer unit so I have to stand in front of the drawers to dekit. I was super tired and had to quit halfway! I'll continue later today. LOL. Sorry you aren't liking your temperature chart. It's good to know how color range choices are key for when I decide to do one in the future. I think I will some day. I just think that my chart would have so little variation. Its just always hot in central Florida!
Yes, my putty in this extreme heat is super stringy, so I've just gone back to wax for now. I was working on Space Dragon and thinking the color shifts there might make a good pattern for a temperature project.

I’m having a hard time picking my next WIP. I was going to do a Spangler event and double up on another easy event but I’m not sure as I’m already “behind” and might want to just pick something more fun for my next WIP, or even start on Christmas gifts. The Spangler is round which would be a nice break. We will see. I have 7 days to finish my current WIP before my husband goes to see his mom. 🐰

Katie, thank you for the WIP and chat! I am also a person that works things out on my own. It takes me time to work through things. For me the noise of other people's recommendations (however well intentioned) makes me more stressed. I am sending you healing vibes. I hope all resolves itself sooner than later. ♥
Katie you don't have to be strong all the time! You are human. You can't talk to your therapist so being able to say how you feel and that in itself can make you feel better. Medical and mental health and just venting is good. Don't feel bad for saying your truth. Hugs and good vibes 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Normally I paint acrylic or diamond paintings. It has been almost a year since I have done either. That is the scrappy mood I've been in. But I am starting to get more paint so it looks promising! I would like to destash, but being OCPD I won't. My Personal assistant suggested giving or donating them. But, my brain says no.
Back in the 80s I had a boyfriend who would get me an animal out of those machines, especially when there were Panda 🐼. I collect everything Panda.
I am still working on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. I have decided I want to spend more time on this canvas. I believe I told you I had a bad fall two weeks ago. I am slowly recovering. 2morrow I am going to the Orthopedic. So, today I have to call my pain specialist and who ever else get my MRI, and CT film.
I am watching on TV, both with MAX, House of the Dragon, and The Gilded Age. Despite time eras, they are both similar.

I listen to audio books when I diamond paint, so I associate the books I listen to with the paintings I do at the time

This is the cutest kit! I love all the colors and critters. I wish I could get the hang of the multiplacer. I am only on my 2nd painting, but I definitely see myself starting ones based on mood.
I have to put my putty in the refrigerator overnight. By the end of the day it is getting so soft. I did order Patsys Putty and Rosebudd. I hope they help. I get them next week.
My daughter has endremosis ( I fully blew the spelling). She had to have a hysterectomy and feel so much better. I am so sorry you have to suffer

not sure if you have ever looked into it or considered it before, but your boys both should/could qualify for social security disability benefits and possibly you would get benefits as their care giver. just throwing it out there in hopes that it could help. tons of love and prayers going out to you and the fam.
