I did my first snack size on a plane. I used a clipboard that had flip storage to take it with me. That way I could clip it down a bit and had the drills in a multi time per day pill box. If I remember I only needed one but there was space for 2 along with all the other pieces of a kit inside the clipboard. Worked amazing. I just flipped the canvas so the drills were facing the board while it was in my bag. Hope you have a great flight and weekend.🌟🌛

🌙 Hi Katie i normally store my drills in small screw top containers I only keep ten to twenty of them in the container if it is a small kit but if it is a larger kit then I would fill the containers half full label the lid and the container and pour out a little bit onto the container if its confetti heavy but if it has a lot of colour blocking then I would pour it onto a large diamond painting tray
I hope your trip is relaxing and enjoyable! And that Connor gets his snow. I don't kit up into containers; I just work out of baggies so I don't pick out of the container. But I will reach in and pick one with my finger and put it on the pen if it's only one. XD Also Yay One Piece! It was originally a manga and the Netflix adaptation is really good if you don't want to get into the 1000 episodes (or 100 volumes... so far!) of the TV series. I like that they Pirates of the Caribbeaned it- the original has a LOT more juvenile humor which can be off-putting to American audiences. No worries about a WIP and chat next week- just enjoy your vacation if you don't want to do it. 🌙

I never pick out diamonds from the container, I've perfected the art of tapping out the 1, 2 or 3 needed by now. We don’t get MLK day off school here in our school district (never have…don’t know why exactly). I would love a video of all of your completed kits. I don’t really typically pick drills directly out of the container unless it’s one or two. (Usually I pick them out with my fingers and flip them over right side up. I can’t get my drill pen to stick to the right side of a drill inside of a container.) I do have a Marvel kit that would be fun to do for May but I hesitate to commit to too many events because they seem like mental pressure and then I become disinterested or overwhelmed. I’m really looking forward to summer with the masters though. ❤

Katie, thank you so much for your weekly WIP and Chats. I so thoroughly enjoy them. I recently bought DAC's " Moon Goddess " just so I could try one of the enhancement packs from DP with Sparklers. So excited to try it. If I like it, I will probably get the one for Glass Mermaid. It will be so interesting to compare it with the painting you completed..which was absolutely gorgeous.
Did DP with Sparklers have an actual Enhancement pkg. for Moon Goddess?? Or did you decide what diamonds you were going to enhance and with what? I just bought the Moon Goddess to make as a gift... and enhancement would be fabulous!! I'd also like to enhance DAC's The Wishing Tree. I'm new to DP.

I'm going to try and be patient and wait for it to cone back in stock.

I highly recommend dp with sparklers enhancement sets! I’ve bought several, and the one I finished was Glass Mermaid and it was amazing! That’s an awesome canvas to begin with, and they definitely have an eye for doing those enhancements.

I typically kit up into trays (I know, you're not a fan) but, when I used containers I sometimes found myself pouring a couple drills into my hand if I missed a few. I would say 10 or so works. I am currently working on The Tea Party By Ivy Dolamore and using an enhancement kit from Teemaw. I am the same as you, not a person who can add enhancements myself. I've only got a couple of rows done and I've decided, if it's a complete swap, it works. Meaning replace all of #1 with *this*. Otherwise I forget I am supposed to add something to a certain spot. I pick out of the container if it’s 10 or less probably, especially if they are close together. I’m a fan of Marvel, and I wasn’t here last year so if you do Marvelous May again I would definitely participate! Thinking about making enhancements to paintings stresses me out too, but I have been considering buying an enhancement kit from DP and sparklers. My husband and I saw Hugh Jackman in Salt Lake City in 2019! It was so much fun and probably one of my favorite concerts I’ve been too. The Greatest Showman is one of my comfort movies. I’m so glad you’re going to be able to see your family this weekend, I know it was hard not being able to go for Christmas! Thanks for a great WIP and chat, as always!💫💫
I kit up into trays. I know that’s not feasible for everyone (cats, kids, etc) but it makes my confetti heavy images go way faster. I’m also one that loves to enhance my paintings, I just finished Seas the Day from Craftibly and turned all the glassware into crystal diamonds and S4S. It’s fun for me to make these paintings my own while still keeping fairly true to the original art. I also did Deity of the Forgotten where I added more random ABs to the moon and did all the rest of it as pixie/fairy dust drills. It definitely takes time and practice to get comfortable with doing enhancements on your own though. I find that images that are fully hand charted are easier to do enhancements, where either fully or partially computer rendered ones are much more complex.
I agree--it depends on the size of the container. I'll pour if it's a big container b/c i'm more likely to spill it and make a big mess. but smaller containers i'll pic out 5-10. i'm lazy about changing my wax, so it can be hard to grab individuals without pouring sometimes too.

I am new to diamond art and im on my 3rd canvas and finally found my happy place and enjoy to learn and grow and of course continue to watch your videos. I just purchased my first ever Diamond Art Club painting! And this is my second ever proper diamond painting :D I went with Jupiter by Roy Trinh. Definitely thinking about getting Saturn by the same artist when I next can. Their artwork is stunning. I'm super excited though :)
Marvelous and Magical May maybe? I’m not SUPER into Marvel so I won’t have a kit, but I do love HP and have plenty to do! And I have longer nails so I usually grab a few from my container and plop them in a tray. My pick-from-a-container accuracy isn’t top notch 😂

5 to 10 drills I would take from containers, more if there’s only few left. I have been using a drawersystem, that was very easy to just pick drills from the container, but after doing that for 2 years, my shoulder got bad, so now I’m back on the containers 😅 🌙🌛💫
I would take a Paint Gem kids for the plane and while there. I have a hard time placing directly from the large EW containers so I'll only do one or two from them. From the tiny containers probably 8-10 is my max. 🌠
Hi Katie! I just finished working on a kit with an enhancement pack and it was so easy! Their suggestions look really good too. If I need a few diamonds I will pick from the container or just dump some on the canvas and skip the tray 😂I ADORE one piece! I was so ready to tear apart the live action (since I've watched the anime some parts multiple times lol and usually live actions suck) but it was so good!! The manga started first back in the late 90s and the anime was picked up after a year or two of publication. ❤🌟

Definitely do Marvel May! I didn’t get the opportunity to participate last year, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I think it would be a good opportunity to have it again - and maybe even allow licensed cross stitch kits, like the Loki you did.
Funny I am just kitting up a diymoon kit and was thinking where do I put these enhancement drills and you started talking about it. I dont need that decision making process either! I got The Hulk as a free gift from DAC last year when they ran that promotion and I decided to hold onto it in case you did Marvelous May again this year so I would be happy for that event again, however please look after yourself first and if you think doing back to back events may burn you out please don't do it. So long answer short Yes for Mavelous May as long as it won't burn you out
I completely agree about enhancements to diamond paintings. I do diamond painting and cross stitch, primarily because I am not a very creative person and I like to be able to space out a bit while I work. I think enhancements look absolutely gorgeous, but please do not make me have to try and make something look pretty! 😂

I kit up into trays. I know that’s not feasible for everyone (cats, kids, etc) but it makes my confetti heavy images go way faster. I’m also one that loves to enhance my paintings, I just finished Seas the Day from Craftibly and turned all the glassware into crystal diamonds and S4S. It’s fun for me to make these paintings my own while still keeping fairly true to the original art. I also did Deity of the Forgotten where I added more random ABs to the moon and did all the rest of it as pixie/fairy dust drills. It definitely takes time and practice to get comfortable with doing enhancements on your own though. I find that images that are fully hand charted are easier to do enhancements, where either fully or partially computer rendered ones are much more complex.
I will have 3 or 4 trays laying around my work area for heavy confetti pieces. I will sit container on the tray to remember which color is which
I agree--it depends on the size of the container. I'll pour if it's a big container b/c i'm more likely to spill it and make a big mess. but smaller containers i'll pic out 5-10. i'm lazy about changing my wax, so it can be hard to grab individuals without pouring sometimes too.

When it cames to the Marvel thing, I'm not a big marvel fan so I leave that up to you. If you have a marvel kit to work on why not save it for the Marvel event and do it then?

I just purchased my first ever Diamond Art Club painting! And this is my second ever proper diamond painting :D I went with Jupiter by Roy Trinh. Definitely thinking about getting Saturn by the same artist when I next can. Their artwork is stunning. I'm super excited though :)
When I transported one of our puppies to Minnesota I worked on my Disney stickers and Paint Gem minis. Definitely the easiest to take.
I only pick singles directly out of the container, everything else I dump in my tray😅🌙⭐️
Marvelous and Magical May maybe? I’m not SUPER into Marvel so I won’t have a kit, but I do love HP and have plenty to do!
And I have longer nails so I usually grab a few from my container and plop them in a tray. My pick-from-a-container accuracy isn’t top notch 😂

5 to 10 drills I would take from containers, more if there’s only few left.
I have been using a drawersystem, that was very easy to just pick drills from the container, but after doing that for 2 years, my shoulder got bad, so now I’m back on the containers 😅

I would take a Paint Gem kids for the plane and while there. I have a hard time placing directly from the large EW containers so I'll only do one or two from them. From the tiny containers probably 8-10 is my max. 🌠

Hi Katie! I just finished working on a kit with an enhancement pack and it was so easy! Their suggestions look really good too. If I need a few diamonds I will pick from the container or just dump some on the canvas and skip the tray 😂I ADORE one piece! I was so ready to tear apart the live action (since I've watched the anime some parts multiple times lol and usually live actions suck) but it was so good!! The manga started first back in the late 90s and the anime was picked up after a year or two of publication. ❤🌟

Definitely do Marvel May! I didn’t get the opportunity to participate last year, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I think it would be a good opportunity to have it again - and maybe even allow licensed cross stitch kits, like the Loki you did.

Funny I am just kitting up a diymoon kit and was thinking where do I put these enhancement drills and you started talking about it. I dont need that decision making process either! I like to pick and place from container if there aren't too many drills in container otherwise I tip into tray. Enjoy listening to your WIP n Chat.

I got The Hulk as a free gift from DAC last year when they ran that promotion and I decided to hold onto it in case you did Marvelous May again this year so I would be happy for that event again, however please look after yourself first and if you think doing back to back events may burn you out please don't do it. So long answer short Yes for Mavelous May as long as it won't burn you out

I completely agree about enhancements to diamond paintings. I do diamond painting and cross stitch, primarily because I am not a very creative person and I like to be able to space out a bit while I work. I think enhancements look absolutely gorgeous, but please do not make me have to try and make something look pretty! 😂
