Well. I am from his area. I think he made the right decision to leave football and wrestle. Kansas State was a dead end in the 80's in football. And Curtis Hughes did well in wrestling. I honestly think in the modern era if your good enough and want it bad enough you could be a green martian and it wouldn't matter. Way back was there a racial ceiling. Yeah but that isn't the case anymore.
Mr. Hughes could sell good, look at his matches in WCW and even in WWF 93'. He was pretty underrated.
