You always feature the local casinos, which is great! I don't stay downtown anymore - too loud and crowded and the local casinos are a nice alternative to the Strip. This one is definitely on the list next time I'm in town.

I love the breakfast segments. Thanks for giving NLV some attention! Aliante is our local casino and we go there often. It used to be bustling when it first opened but with some of the food court options closing, the older movie theatre, etc. I wish it had a few more upgrades. Definitely a locals place - it's beautiful, not super busy, has most everything you need. I'd love to see it get more business!

Thanks for the review. Stayed at Aliente a few years back on our way to Yosemite (Tioga Pass way). It was very nice, but I recalled it had very tight slots. We prefer to stay at M Resort now.
Love the video! In case no one has answered yet let me tell you what a teaser is. You have to pick two teams against the spread just like a parlay. Only thing is you get 6 point to your advantage and unlike a parlay, you win it like a single bet. For example, if SF is -7 in their game and Dallas is -10 in another game and you want to bet the favorites, you would get SF -1 & Dallas -4 but they BOTH have to hit to win the bet. If you win it pays off like a single bet.

We live across the street from the casino in Sun city Aliante. You are correct. The neighborhood is close to the interstate and makes it easy to get anywhere in the valley quickly. I'm glad we decided to settle in that area rather than the Summerlin or Henderson areas. Love watching your shows.
I loved when the station casinos owned them. They had great rates. The pool is so nice It reminds me of the Frontiers pool. Their feast buffet Was one of the best. I miss their buffets and cafe's theirs, texas station and GVR. You mentioned pat cooper. He was a friend of my mom, godmother and friend from work. Pat cooper gave them all tickets to his show at the rosemont theater out her in Illinois and gave them autographed cds and cassettes of his show. Then Before he left to fly out to another gig he came to the restaurant we all worked at for lunch , nice guy.

When we first moved to Las Vegas in 2011, we lived across the street from Aliante Casino, in Del Web Aliante. It was then owned by Station Casinos. We were there weekly because we Liked the buffet that Stations Casinos offered.

THE LANDMARK ... I still recall first seeing the tower as a child and thought what a KOOL building with its design and height, plus the OUTSIDE ELEVATORS. I would see it again as an adult but it was already CLOSED and later to be imploded 😔
No we never lived in North Las Vegas. We lived on the northern side of Las Vegas itself, very near Rancho Drive, so our “locals casinos” were the Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station (may they rest in peace), and less frequently, Santa Fe Station.

I'm confused why Dale said music from the 70s was an interesting choice in the casino considering it has an older crowd. Just how old does he mean, because I'm almost 60 and that is the music I grew up with!
Well I write the scripts, so you can blame me. I too grew up with 70s rock, that’s my era…but the vast majority of guests in the casino that morning were more towards 70-80 in age, lots of walkers. I just felt like the music didn’t fit.
We post prices at the spots where we actually eat during the video, of what we ordered. And of course, if we can find a menu online with prices, we will happily show it…sometimes price doesn’t appear.
Is Paula’s Kitchen channel no longer putting out videos? The last one was 8 months ago. I am just trying to clean up my subscription list and if that channel is no longer, then I would like to delete it from my list.
No definitely not - we are talking about the scents that the resorts pipe through the casino areas, very unique and characteristic of each one. Ever walk into Park MGM, Aria, Cosmo, etc, and that scent in the air hits you? We just noticed that Aliante didn’t have that.
Our intel says it opened in November 2008. I don’t think we said it was new…just one of those rare resorts in the Las Vegas valley that we had not visited.
I’m that woman, and my shirts are actually WOMEN’S. To confirm, just look at which way they button. I like wearing tailored blouses/shirts…this particular one is a George Strait Wrangler I got at Boot Barn some years ago; most often I buy at LL Bean. But they’re all women’s shirts.
