Im gonna go ahead an speak for all true truck guys, im country as it gets but somthin this custom build comes up nuthin short of badass, anythin this custom is cool as hell an like he said in other comments it takes a lot of work, money, and time to do this, i have a 98 ranger with a 302 an it cost me around 6 grand an its nuthin special, honestly it looks like complete shit from the people i paid to build it, i cant imagine how much this guy has in this truck for it to be like this an people dont appreciate shit these days an dam sure dont appreciate hard work, i give u props on this build!!!
If you were a truck guy you would know it's not a truck 😂 it does nothing that a truck does or could do but look like one. Why he used Ranger body on this chassis only this guy knows, it's counter productive. No one needs to prove that a truck can do what a car can do because no one gives af. As a CAR it's cool I guess. I'm sure it's fun to drive around but you ain't no fuckin true truck guy stfu
i love the truck, the frame work is crazy, id like to see more of the suspension and how it works. as for the engine... im lovin it and for all the people hating on the engine swap the engine is far superier to the ford engine that can in there and there is nothing wrong with improvment. ok now finish it so we can see it run
That is a clean ass set-up. I had a tandem '92 standard cab. It doesn't matter what negative comments are made. The likes/dislikes speak volumes. I felt the hate when I had mine also. Sad thing is the negativity came from people driving pieces of crap.
@heavy71chevy I can understand the whole putting a Japanese motor in a ford thing but I think there are enough rangers around to make one different without hating on it. There is so much work put into this truck I think it deserves not to be hated on.
Its a Build in progress people. He obviously started with the Chassis, and the drop, and worked from there. To me it looks like he is working on it when he can and cant dedicate a few months straight and only work on it. It also looks like he saved the body and interior of the cab for last, and is getting that finished.
What else can you say? How about the custom hand fabricated twin wish bone suspension(looks like heat treated aircraft aluminum) that would make a NASCAR jelly. My 93 Ranger is my daily driver/parts runner for my track day Saab900t. Mechanically my Ford is great. The out side looks more like a modern day Sanford & Son's scrap hauler. Show off your ride in more videos. You've spend a lot of time on her; take a bow man.
@peruface The truck a couple days after this was shot went to paint and it should be completely running and finished here soon so stay tuned for that video her shortly :)
you should make some covers for the space on the fender so when you lower it at a show just snap them on before you drop it so the ranger looks like its just sitting on the frame when you drop it
Wasn't the biggest fan of the wheels but the size and and stance was awesome! 2JZ is a killer motor as well so good choice, I reckon it would of been cooler if the turbo was hidden though, stealth
@hayamoto Pretty much you are correct we do these things not because we have to but because we want to be different. But that goes to half the customizing world none the less. I just really hate when people post hate comments on things that so much work as gone into. Thank you for watching and commenting and I honestly hope you enjoy the videos.
So is this thing FWD? I see the rear differential but it doesn't have any CV axles connecting to the rear wheels, unless he removed them for show. He could have chosen a better motor for that truck.
the 2.3L 4 cyl gas motor was a mazda designed engine, wasn't it? as well as the 2.5L gas burner...and the manual transmission in those are mazda transmissions...i have a 98 with the 2.5...great motors, great transmissions, great trucks...this one is nice as hell...wish i had the money to do something simular with mine :/
the difference between real car guys and fakes is clearly the bullshit. i appreciate the time and work put into this truck, even if its old, even if it has a "ricer" motor (which all of you are completely wrong about, Mk3 supra ftw :D its my baby) and the stance is enough to set this truck apart from the others WHICH IS WHY WE DO IT.... if you dont understand, dont pick up a wrench in the first place.
love the truck looks sick but did anybody notice he dint have axels in the rear i know if IRS but there was no axels but its under work so killer truck

If you look up Phat Phabz they make trucks like this and still functions like a truck.
Watch "Behind the Scenes: Truckin Magazine" on UA-cam

Check out this video....
Nice build! I laughed a bit after watching it rolling past the camera and then noticing there were no axles in the rear. Awesome chassis.

i usually hate lowriders especially lowered trucks but this one is an exception, he did a nice job and obviously put alot of effort into it
That is the sickest looking Ranger I think I have ever seen man! Nice work and cant wait to see the finished product.
minitrucking is a lifestyle.a lifestyle that i love myself

Loved your tacoma!
Good luck on the new shop!
Saw this ranger at West Coast Nats in 2010.
Very nice build!

Some folks will just never understand minitruckin no matter how you try to explain it…. Love the ranger!
Preach
Im not big on low riders but man you sure can tell you have put alot of work into that truck :D Bravo
AMAZING frame work! Since the turbo is outside the hood, ever got it so hot you could see it glowing cherry red?
I love these vids. Professional production. Keep up the great work!💪💪💪

Really nice work on that Ranger.
That frame is sick as hell, truely amazing!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to hear it run!!!!
I like the cup holders, + the rest of the car! :))

Why is the turbo outlet not going anywhere? Dump tube is open aswell? What. Was it in the shop when you filmed that?
Also no rear axels
warracer03
Very nice trk n set up! congrats!
i have a 88 ranger im wanting to drop, how much fab work did u have to do to get the supra engine in there
good job!!! thats what u call a hobby...
@hayamoto The truck is on adjustable suspension and is capable at riding at almost factory height.
love the frame one of the best i seen
i give him all the props!
Nice, is the bench seat stock? I'm thinking of converting to one
Lookin good
Lmao @ the ending. Nice craftsmanship man. Well done.
Its not on bags. ... single pump 2 oil system dumps ... its on hydraulic :) and I love it!
LOW & SLOW! I LOVE THIS!
That'll be me with my next project ranger but as a sleeper
I think we belong in the " Lifted" truck section my friend.
Cool build
Hey that truck is dope, NOW I can't wait to go hydro!, Good job guys it look really good! %D
@MrPimperston that supra motor is awesome man the stock motor can hold 800 hp
@peruface The truck a couple days after this was shot went to paint and it should be completely running and finished here soon so stay tuned for that video her shortly :)
you should make some covers for the space on the fender so when you lower it at a show just snap them on before you drop it so the ranger looks like its just sitting on the frame when you drop it
Nice u should put a coul induction on tht air filter make it look twice as good but its a sick truck
Sweet truck man. i want to do an independent rear so bad on mine
this guy is legend.
Wasn't the biggest fan of the wheels but the size and and stance was awesome! 2JZ is a killer motor as well so good choice, I reckon it would of been cooler if the turbo was hidden though, stealth
someone has mad skills

Nice work!
0:29 intercooler pipe to throttle not there so is not receiving boost?
What kind of spindles are you running front and rear?
Looks like the outer cv boots will rub on the upper arms when it's slammed.
That turbo would probably make more boost if there was actually piping forcing air into the engine...
very few fords i would ever allow myself to own.
@lordvs666 The truck was completely stripped down to chassis and new additions to the truck as well..
Were there no axles?
NICE JOB!
Nice project with some awesome engineering. Were you hand pushing it for the video of it moving. LOL
Lovin the Ford boat.
Is it complete yet?
bad ass truck!! haters make us famous!!! minitrucker for life!!!
what rear end is that? where are the drive axles?
@GrinderTV any updates?, would like to see this thing move. nice work thusfar.
Very nice bro!
the 2.3L 4 cyl gas motor was a mazda designed engine, wasn't it? as well as the 2.5L gas burner...and the manual transmission in those are mazda transmissions...i have a 98 with the 2.5...great motors, great transmissions, great trucks...this one is nice as hell...wish i had the money to do something simular with mine :/
@mrtacosmahser It is under construction...it will be complete soon
the difference between real car guys and fakes is clearly the bullshit.

love the truck looks sick but did anybody notice he dint have axels in the rear i know if IRS but there was no axels but its under work so killer truck
how far off the ground? 3mm?
Are you in the RPS (Ranger Power Sports) forums?
This is a nice ride
Was this truck ever finished?
Unfortunately it was not.
GrinderTV ahh, thanks for the reply!
does it move?
@CamRN81 Seriously? This truck is a work of art. Been following it on SSM
that is the SICKEST ranger i've ever fuckin seen no joke. bad ass bro
nice work
FAB WORK AND EVERYTHING IS SICK...BUT A 83 RANGER?
How much is air suspension and its installation?
diff wasnt connected to anything? what up there? 1:42?
why not complete it before you post it?
minus the floppy headlight and the filter sticking threw the hood. not to bad. oh and you need a 1354 in that thing :)
it looks like the pipe from the turbo to the intake manifold is missing
nice truck!!!!!!!!!!!
Not my style but repect for the craftsmanship.Nicely done.
@hayamoto Pebbles do not destroy metal...it will be fine.
@hanford14 2 wheel drive trucks are meant to be slamed on the ground but 4x4 are meant to be lifted
which brand and where can I find this wheel?
sick ass ranger
Wicked sweet! Nice fab work! 2jz swap anything FTW!!!...LOL
You should have someone else do the welding on that truck.
its got like 2 feet of lift out of those airbags. it could go over a curb.
amazing
im pretty sure that was an axle-less pumpkin. alsso the turbo outlet was not connected to anything... but at 1:14 hes driving
No intercooler pipes or hoses coming from that pretty turbo. It's no wonder he didn't start it.
same here but for some reason I love my pushrod 4.0 I can bring myself to swapping it, and that the truck is 21 years old so the swap would be costly
