I too love Gwent, but I don't think it's a game that could really exist in that setting. I mean...who makes those cards, who stops you from making different cards, why not just have a deck full of cards 15-point hero cards? Kingdom Come Deliverance has a dice game where you can also win some useful dice. That does feel realistic, because weighted dice were a thing. But generally, games were done with standardized things: like a deck of (normal) cards, chess, etc. Cheating was still possible (weighted dice, having secret extra double cards in your pocket, etc.). But a game like Gwent, no matter how fun it is, that couldn't exist.

My boyfriend named our cat Ciri so I was like “Oh, he loves Ciri, we’ll rush through this to find her so I can see why he picked that name!” But no main quest. Only Gwent. I’m surprised the cat isn’t named Gwent.
I had several cats and named two of them geralt and ciri. after a year ciri was gone, just never came back one day and geralt disappeared as well after a few months. after some time i told myself ciri was gone and geralt went looking for her. i hope they are both ok but at least i'm ok today.

The mistake was letting them outside in the first place, but my parents made me do it beacuse they believed cats should be free to go outside and not be just inside all day. But outside my neighborhood there are jackals(and my cats would always go outside so who knows if some of my cats died of it), evil neighbor who hates cats and one day threatened me he would make my cats disappear if they stepped on his garden again(I couldn't keep them inside all the times beacuse of my parents), and "somehow" they were gone (the police didn't help). After that I managed to convince my parents that's enough, and my 2 last cats are with my to this day(yes I had a lot of cats once).

The devs are fully aware of our ridiculous pacing.

I was on a side quest called "fool's gold" when I suddenly heard Geralt commenting on traps, and triggering "Ghosts of the past", when I went to check only to find it was the same location where "Fall of the House of Reardon" took place. So yeah, got a bit of side quest in my side quest so I can side quest when I side quest in my side quest.

I prefer Zelda Witcher is good but sometime characters won't stop talking and I say to myself ''will the action begin soon?'' It was especially bad in the Heartstone DLC
I remember finishing Witcher 3 and being like "oh what's left for me in this cruel world" and then I got to it a year after and accidentally stepped into Blood and Wine and holy shit I need to write my graduation paper.

Hard not to stress given the YT algorithm. If you want to do this professionally, you're ideally pumping out ten minutes of video a day every day. Still, I agree that the actual viewers would be perfectly happy these games being played at a somewhat organic pace with decent breaks between them and therefor the reviews being up no sooner than that. Afterall, that's how the actual review part of these videos are going to be useful even if far more than half of us are here purely for the entertainment value

My sister played the entire Witcher 3 2 times, had a lot to complain about each time. The third time, she played it exclusively for the Gwent quests. It's her favorite game ever.
This is the only game in recent memory where I gladly bought the DLC. I've bought DLC thinking it was an okay deal, but -gladly- buying? The Witcher 3. Actually it's the only, TW3, because the times before that when I bought DLC, they weren't, DLC, they were expansions.
Monster Decks -> No spies, Very hastily runs out of cards in the hand, No reviving cards(I think?). You should actually be very much happy when you encounter monster decks D: While it was early in the game and I had little amount of spy cards I was horiffied to play against some Nilfgaardian and Temerian decks ;(
Well, monster decks had much power when you dont have cards, but when you do? You shoulnt fear them, but the nilfgardians or the temerians, with their little spies and medics, and bonds, gosh.

What's reallllly going to blow your mind, is when you realize you can play back through the entire game, make different choices and the story COMPLETELY changes. I played through the story 5 times before I found out you can actually have an ending where Ciri comes back to you in the end. AND I didn't even know in the previous 4 play throughs that she had actually died, I thought I was being left on cliff hanger to find out what happened to Ciri in the next game.

I am the girldfriend, and I played all three of the Witcher games, my boyfriend only played the third one, so I was the one to tell him everything that happened before that. :D In the first game you could play dice games, and it was like the gwent in the Witcher 3. You played with everyone, even King Foltest. :D I love the main story of Witcher 3, but doing sideguest is also really enjoyable, and the DLCs. The Blood and wine could actually be the Witcher 4, it has got that much content in it. :D We love these games and story so much that my boyfriend started collecting and reading the books too. :D

I put in more than 300 hours. Only the base game, no add ons. I finished the game but I played the least amount gwent possible.

250k.. crazy, I've watched your Red Dead Video when it came out and thought "well, this got potential" but 250k after about a Month a really awesome. Speaks for you idea and quality! Please take enough breaks and time between videos, it's really easy to burn out at this rate!

I agree. Take your time guys. Even a video every two weeks. It got to still be a pleasure and I've seen multiple couples loose it on UA-cam because of the pressure of the release. Keep it simple keep it fresh and take care of yourselves. And take breaks. I 💯% agree

My sister played the entire Witcher 3 2 times, had a lot to complain about each time.
The third time, she played it exclusively for the Gwent quests.
It's her favorite game ever.

This is the only game in recent memory where I gladly bought the DLC. I've bought DLC thinking it was an okay deal, but -gladly- buying? The Witcher 3.
Actually it's the only, TW3, because the times before that when I bought DLC, they weren't, DLC, they were expansions.

I always do the "hol' up a minute" to play Gwent, but whenever I see a Monster Deck I just want to die
Monster Decks -> No spies, Very hastily runs out of cards in the hand, No reviving cards(I think?). You should actually be very much happy when you encounter monster decks D: While it was early in the game and I had little amount of spy cards I was horiffied to play against some Nilfgaardian and Temerian decks ;(

Get a nilfgaard deck and you will destry everyone 90% (10% tough games against another nilfgaard deck or a very lucky monster deck)
Biting frost and monster deck is done
Well, monster decks had much power when you dont have cards, but when you do? You shoulnt fear them, but the nilfgardians or the temerians, with their little spies and medics, and bonds, gosh.

What's reallllly going to blow your mind, is when you realize you can play back through the entire game, make different choices and the story COMPLETELY changes. I played through the story 5 times before I found out you can actually have an ending where Ciri comes back to you in the end. AND I didn't even know in the previous 4 play throughs that she had actually died, I thought I was being left on cliff hanger to find out what happened to Ciri in the next game.

I am the girldfriend, and I played all three of the Witcher games, my boyfriend only played the third one, so I was the one to tell him everything that happened before that. :D
In the first game you could play dice games, and it was like the gwent in the Witcher 3. You played with everyone, even King Foltest. :D
I love the main story of Witcher 3, but doing sideguest is also really enjoyable, and the DLCs. The Blood and wine could actually be the Witcher 4, it has got that much content in it. :D
We love these games and story so much that my boyfriend started collecting and reading the books too. :D
