- Once more the tolling of the Unboxing Bell. Once more the raising of the knife.
Once more the slashing of the spittle veil as the Bard returns to life.

BardicBroadacst's unboxings are the only unboxings worth watching
amen.
They are cracking
It's the passion he has for it :D
Ikr he has the same energy as one of those wizard t-shirts
Lol true just discovered this!!
I bet this guy is an amazing DM.
He plays an unhinged, growling wizard brilliantly. He plays an unhinged, growling dwarf brilliantly.
Turns out his Paladins are also unhinged and growl a lot. So do his maidens, shopkeeps, and his Gelatinous Cubes.
Well said
@@darthkek1953 So basically you are saying he makes a great dm.
1000% agree I bet he would also be an amazing member of Monthy python flying Circus
The words "born and destined to it" come to mind
The best thing about Necromunda is HEROQUEST !!
The only thing better than HeroQuest is MORE HeroQuest!
No, that would be the BRODSOAD!
Browdsowd! 🗡
Considering Necromunda had a cameo in the HeroQuest video, this is accurate.
@@jonathanlane444 Dubs for truth.
Although If GW does it I wonder if Pr*maris will be in it? Possibly giving it a tone more akin to Space Crusade, which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
This is easily the most underrated channel in all the lands of UA-cam.
Verily! With content unequalled in all the realm.
The best thing about this channel?
HEROQUEST!
Dang! That knife flip impressed me! And I have been known to flip an unboxing knife occasionally.
I had to watch it a second time. That was top notch.
Didn't even look at it either. Never broke eye contact.
I like to think it was done in one take, too.
That is quite the most impressive thing I've seen in 2018... that knife flip, or maybe the Space X booster landing... hmmm..?
That was pretty awesome.
Hail all! I hope you enjoy this video.
I realised just now that I never got around to discussing the books that are sold separately with the extra gangs and rules. There is little to say except that the new version is more like a solid standalone game that can develop into something resembling the Necromunda that veterans know. It's an interesting distinction but dwelling on it might be beyond the purview of a humble unboxing video. I can say this: Its certainly not a starter set - it's much more robust and complete than that.
ALL HAIL THE BARD!
I think the only thing I couldn't get away from with the box was my reaction to the Escher models in general - unpacking my old metal ones. The new ones I felt lack the variety of surface texture and character - they just don't feel all that individual. I was very impressed with the new Goliaths in comparison to the metal originals (never mind the plastics), but no, these were not my girls. Other than that though, I did like the box in general and thought it was a big step up for GW in box set standards for these days at least.
Great unboxing and analysis as always. I am amazed how GW does and (probably) insists on detail and precise painting in their models but the box art and tile art are terrible. The painted models just look so out of place. (As you said, cutting costs and corners)
HIS ALIVE!!! WELCOME BACK!
@@reverenddmo8944 I should like to add that I miss the concept of the juve. Could it be that they now shy away from representing violent youth in games? Youth in discord is at the core of punk. Another shaft added to the undermining, eh?
The Bard lives! Also, that knife flip though.
that goddamn knife flip woah
I was scared for his fingers.
That trans-dimensional knife flip is proof he has ascended above mere human capabilities
It would've been funny if he caught it in a hand covered in bandages lol
He has clearly maxed out his unboxing knife proficiency.
"I bet it pans into extra spending" no truer words have ever been spoken in a GW product review...
"How DARE they send me things I've ordered!"
...*laughs*
Did anyone else just shout YESSSSS at the top of their voice when they got the notification of a bard video? 😂
I most certainly did!
I clicked the thumbnail immediately.
I said ' Bloody hell! He's back!'
I went with "Bugger me, it's the Bard!" Thankfully there was no-one around to point out the wealth of innapropriate humour to be had from a priest saying this. Though what would a week be without another threat of Excommunication...
I said "Ooooooooo" :O
YES! FINALLY A VIDEO FROM ONE OF MY FAVOURITE UA-cam CHANNELS!
You’ve been missed sorely mate!
Seconded!
Fourthded....is that a word?
fifthded
Well, hell, I guess I have to be the one who sixthded this.
Seventhed !!
That first knife flip.... Beautiful
time stamp pls
omg its fantastic!
Totally agree with your take on the lore. Or as Tolkien said:
"Part of the attraction of the L.R. is, I think, due to the glimpses of a large history in the background: an attraction like that of viewing far off an unvisited island, or seeing the towers of a distant city gleaming in a sunlit mist. To go there is to destroy the magic, unless new unattainable vistas are again revealed. "
Sage words eternal.
The magic is within the mystery.
This is true of so much in real life too. "Never meet your heroes" they say. "Fear of the unknown" is the strongest, or even "fear itself!"
The bard returns to us. Like a comet splitting the sky, his meanderings beyond the horizon are none of our concern but must add to his legend.
Truly this is gold.
Dude you ooze charisma. Never heard of a max charisma dwarf build before. Excellent video!
Supercharisma dwarf paladin of Clangeddin Silverbeard.... a powerplay char from Dragon magazine
He took a prestige class that allows him to use Int for all Cha-related checks.
... and also to add beard length in inches as an unclassed bonus.
hahaha agreed ))
he's really rare
You got it all wrong. Dwarves don't need charisma, they are meta-max-charisma at birth. A special feature of dwarves. And barbarians. Broadsword.
Your power of unboxing is so strong that I just (30 secondes before this video) thought about that "best thing about heroquest" video. -*EPIC*
Me too.... but the best thing about necromunda is...... is.... Heroquest
@@francescospuntarelli7369 hahaha this wins the internet today. Thank you!
Spekd* ...ha...yeah that Hero Quest video was epic...got me to subscribe...loved playing that game with my cousin as kids/ tweens..we even made up our own games and rules...
@@ChainsawDunDeez i got my hands on it when i hit 12 ish me and my brothers played HQ everyday for a good few years. the bars has some awesome unboxings and reboxings ☺
Genuinely the funniest video on UA-cam, and by quite a margin.
Holy shit! A new Bardic Broadcast? And it's about Necromunda? Christmas has come early! Glad you're back dude.
The finest present I shall receive this Yule!
"Don't you betray me, Weather! I see you up there!"
I'm stealing that line.
I never heard of this game ever, I don't even play table top games to begin with. I'm here just for the crazed wizard
You should be a voice actor!
ake staaf I was just thinking the same. Or narrating fantasy audio books!
If Brian blessed abdicates from doing gotrek (from gotrek and Felix) this man needs to step up!
YES!
Oh god yes, The bard is back with another crrrrrracking unboxing!
How joyous is this fine day, my eyes tear up at the mere thought of this video ending.
May the bard ever prosper!
Rejoice - it's the Return of the King!
He returns to us now at the turn of the tide...Bard The White...we thought we'd lost you ❤
I have found the greatest channel on UA-cam. This guy should be a famous and worth millions for these videos.
5 years on and the comment about the WH40K universe getting smaller is spot on
I adore your charisma dude
Wow what are you doing here
Hi there, Sabrespark!
I did not expect to see another favorite channel of mine here, holy hell
I love this guy!!!!! He must make a great DM!
I genuinely want you two to talk about the 80s D&D cartoon.
The best thing about BardicBroadcast is the everything.
And so the bardic lands were once again filled with festive cheer.
I’ve never played a table too RPG in my life, why do I love this guy?!
D&D with you HAS to be a total blast. I bet your presence inspires the peak of all role-playing from the entire table
Death, injury, and something else. The three states of man.
the man is back, truly heroes return in dark times.
Just like in David Gemmel's books
Never stop. Please
I love your insights. You've clearly got a deep appreciation for all aspects of the medium; from the artwork, to the mechanics, to the written descriptions in the manual. You can wade through the minutiae and really grab at the essence of the thing. Your comedic presentation / styling is just icing on the cake. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thank you very much :)
Exactly this. Well said. Love his voice, extensive knowledgeable insight, and absolutely hilarious presentation.
I wish this guy would make more videos. I'm not even interested in all these nerdy toys but the videoes are so entertaining and hilarious.
He's absolutely brilliant. He'd have a huge number of subscribers if he produced more.
@@neurocidesakiwi yeah not sure he knows what he's got going. If I were the bard I'd be going balls to the wall. Potentially making a living out of buying all the cool toys you like and reviewing them in funny voice isn't a bad gig if you can get it.
A Bard video arrives precisely when it means to.
Upon seeing the knife flip in the beginning of the video, i am now convinced the this man is as dangerous as they come...
Schwermetalloer seriously! I rewound the video to make sure I saw what I thought I saw
This is one of the best channels i have found in years.
The Hero Quest unboxing is quite possibly one of the finest things on YT.
I thought to never see another crrrrrrracking unboxing! The gods have been kind this day.
you are the greatest of "unboxers". That critique of the lore at the end is spot on.
I don’t play any of these games or ever will, yet I still watch this amazing dwarven Bard.
By Grimnir, a new video!
THE GREAT BEARDED BARD LIVES!
Well, yeah. Dwarves can live several centuries
This is the best channel on YT. I'd totally throw down on a Patreon for it.
I would too @bardicBroadcasts. I'd also watch ads for you.
As would I without hesitation!
I'm in!
He needs to make regular videos first
Love your suggested approach for enhanching the Necromunda setting
I really enjoy your content! Wish you did more videos a year. Thanks for the share!!
As was foretold by the ancient scrolls of yore, the bard has returned to complete his cracking unboxing! I was worried for a while that this channel was dead.
Me to... Me to. Dark times
The best thing about new Necromunda is this video! Great stuff!
BY THE GODS! It's been so long, bard! Glad to see you again!
2020, just discovered the best game board review unboxing channel on youtube!
I really like that you couldn't hold that bark of laughter in before the first cut but still left a bit of it in.
By the Dwarf Lord's!! You're not dead.
There's no musCULARIty at all on that new cover.
I relax a lot to these. He’s the best host I’ve ever seen. A cracking good one!
My Dear Bardic Dwarf,
It is with quill in hand that I pen this diabolic-digital letter to let you know of your importance in the world of mystics and magics! Your feed has come across my pitiful wondering eye and is revealed as the peak of information and detailed description for all things fantastical. Thank you for the depth and insightfulness of descriptions that you provide, and depths that you dive to bring such detailed descriptions of worlds dreamed of and desired! Thank you for your tireless devotion to the ancient craft of wonderment and dreams! Thank you for your pitiless presentations of admiration and lucidification! Thank you for your energy and tirelessness describing and critiquing various things unknown (and thanks to you! NOW known!) in the realms of the mind and admiration! You, most prestigious Sir, are appreciated!
Yours, and now subscriber,
The Giant Berserker
Ahh, tally ho! Thank you very much. It does me good to know that I am favored in the realms of the berserkers!
I wasn't expecting such deep analysis of the cover art, my mind is blown
The legends are true you are alive.
I want to hear this guy read the phone book. He's amazing.
Just when I doubted that you'd ever return, you upload another cracking unboxing. Merry Christmas!
30 seconds in and I'm dying laughing from that knife flip and flawless capture. Your inner hive ganger is strong.
How truly you are loved bard. So many positive and heart warming comments. I completely agree with you on the superiority of traditional art work as well. There is something special and more human about it.
Ah mate the 80's Clancy Brown Highlander reference was absolutely brilliant. Subbed.
I don't even play any of these game, but I love all these videos. You're the best dude.
My insomnia finally paid off! Long live the Bard!
Love this guy! His videos are extremely entertaining! Best bit? Those pauses just before the cuts. Excellent! Subscribed!!! Well done, sir!
I've not played a tabletop before, but I'd pass through fire and death to watch a new upload from this channel.
Holy , that Unboxing Knife Flip was sick.
Well... the first one atleast.
Damn. Knife skills like that...This man knows his way around a box!
I say this is a fair criticism and I've actually asked the design team behind Necromunda to get more gritty details, however... they believe their audience doesn't want this and only wants to be sold the 'war'.
I disagree with that as 40K to me is this vast epic struggle and a struggle of what it is to be human itself with a great deal of hypocrisy and confusion as you rightly say.
However apart of the magic that is 40K is it's open source take, where it encourages players to insert there own stories into this universe. One of the best writers for 40K came into the hobby like many others and has added to the universe. (I want to say his name is Guy Hayley but my memory isnt good these days).
I guess we have to prove to GW that the universe we love and importantly what we want to see in there works.
I do see House Escher being haughty though and using a high got hic slang, as to mock those they believe to be below them and also ironically mocking those hive spire nobles who themselves look down from there towers.
Good to see you back again Bard and hope to see you cover more of the GW influx of goodies, wallet permitted of course.
There is merit in your sentiments. I can understand, to a point, the position of the game's developers; however, I am not sure we need to be sold the same war over and over. The underhive offers a distinct kind of battlefield - far from any other in the Warhammer 40,000 setting. It is a shame that GW's eyes are always fixed to galactic affairs.
BardicBroadcasts Yes that was the creative director of Necromunda I spoke to briefly, he just believed people wouldn't be interested in that aspect; he was also a person who wanted to revitalise Necromunda as he plays the game regularly, so his creative input may have skewed things that way, in seeing things differently.
I was asking him about if we could get more civilian inspired terrain and vehicles, like I want to see a human shanty town type thing and how the Imperiums symbols would get treated or if they would be treated with anything other than mild curiosity.
I would like to imagine things like a cobbled together home in the underhive that has these symbols built into it for convenience or simple need. I thought it would be poetic in a way. Like could you imagine rat burgers being cooked over an aquila simply because it was just a handy bit of metal that could be used.
Because in between all the gang warfare there will be those mutants, heretics and degenerated humans all striving to survive. As you say a missed opportunity.
well some of the old sentiments have been wiped away, by what I think is Trends/sales, and Iv talked to some of my friends about the lore getting worse and worse- ex back in the days the Imperium of man was shown to be an evil fascist one and we all knew there were no nice guys in 40k now the writers forget the that, because of needing a good guy
Glaaki13 That was Rogue Trader when it was first being created. It's evolved a lot since then and the imperium of Man is a very complex domain made up of a million world's.
The lore is great it's not getting worse, it's focused on creating more factions and paying homage to established cannon.
And the Dark Imperium book is fantastic imo.
@@ShadowFox178 lol let agree to disagree the BL horus hersy books are for me really bad but i did read 20 of them lol -im not that much in to the new 40k and im hearing a lot of critics but mostly from SM fans and as im a none chaos or imperium fan I dont know
This has to be one the best, most in depth unboxings on anything I've ever seen. All of your points and thoughts on it are fantastic, and your humor is refreshing.
The smooth flick of the knife tells you that this, truly, is a bard of easy and casual unboxing.
This guy is flipping amazing
Oh yes! You were missed, mate! Glad you could make it in time for christmas ^^
I've discovered why the bard doesn't post more videos, he knows we'll keep coming back to watch the old videos over and over again because we need too once we get a taste of the bard.
This is the first video of yours I've seen, dude you are awesome
"Pamphleture" is my new favorite word.
The best thing about this unboxing was the elegance of description of the underhives lack of elegance
Yes! A new bardic broadcast!
Welcome back to the Internet sir!
Harken! The bard returns! And what a joyous return it is! Merely a fortnight has passed since my adventurous band has finished its first bout of Necrotic Mundus. And here you are, unboxing that very same box! My heartfelt thanks to the gods of the tubes of you, and of course you, the bard himself! Skål!
Your videos are amazing, thank you for making them. Not only is your persona hilariously fun and easy to listen to, but the amount of detail and analysis that you bring to the unboxing of games, models, and accessories is truly remarkable. Thanks for being an expert!
I miss your mysterious aura and impressive skill with a blade.
This is my favorite channel.
Ah Peter Cushing autobiography, he was a fellow tabletop or living room floor gamer, truly a wonderful addition to the special shelf!
Aye!
man this video was a trip... probably the most enthusiastic and dedicated deliveries of a review I can ever remember
The world need more cracking unboxing, no matter what it is about.
Fantastic unboxing :) Love all the insight as well :)
Wow wow wow - random click on a video about board game unboxing - and being greeted by this epic intro. You sir are amazing ! I dont care for GW stuff but damn i liked your presentation !
PS - well done with that knife flip :D
Thank you very much :)
Watch his Hero Quest video. It's one of my favorite videos of all time.
Aww man, is nice to see you again!
You sir are the most charismatic person I've ever watched. I don't think I've burst out laughing so quickly in my life. Thank you for blessing the world with this video, even if this comment is somewhat late.
It's been the longest 11 months of my life waiting for a new video, totally worth it. Thank you for gracing UA-cam again good sir.
The Bard is back! YesYesYes! Christmas comes early this year!
Welcome back!!!!!
He's alive!!!
Dear god, this guy needs to do voiceover narration for a fantasy RPG video game!
You are one of the best.
Such humour and love and passion in your videos. I'm glad to see new content and have the chance to appreciate your personality and references to the yestertimes.
So EPIC! Love how you had the wrong box at first. I was sitting watching your face and hearing the silence wondering what wit was coming next. and then epic!
A bard video? In this part of the country? At this time of year? At this time of day? Localised entirely within my recommendations?!
...."yes"
devi lock may I see it?
@@kingpendaofmercia6947 ......no
I would totally watch videos where you play one player board games. The concept is cool I’ve never done it, I believe you would be the most popular gamer on any platform. Here’s hoping, with a slight bit of begging 🖖🏼♾
Says he doesn't want to talk about the old cover - talks about the oold cover :D
*CRACKING!*
These reviews are a work of art, all hail the Bard!
The first knife flip followed by the second knife flip is a perfect example of the hubris of man...
Cracking video, on point!
He's like a modern-day Gandalf
