I cannot get enough of 'Bridgerton' or its cast and crew with filming and set stories. What a magnificent project from every angle! On set and off. The production is flawless - the performances, the cinematography, the sets, the music (!!), the costumes, the lighting and even the weather. Everything as a symbol ... down to the jewels on the night of the last dance, sparkling and looking like so much rain, even before the rain fell. But most of all ... the cast and the direction. So many, many flawless choices, flawless moments. I can't remember a time or a film or series where I was so smitten and absorbed and made utterly curious! 1000 thanks!
Aside from the lavish costuming, settings, etc. and unique music blending the past with the present I was overly grateful for the blending of the races I've been married since the 70s and it is a mixed marriage- not common in the 1970s or accepted. This movie accepts interracial marriages and friendships as normal. A refreshing outlook for these times. Thank you.
I can literally watch this de whole year. Great masterpiece Chris. Adjoa, ur name alone tells me you are from Ghana too. We all proud of you. Too good on set n even here. Much love from ur country ppl. To all the cast, we say u did exceptionally well especially our couple of de moment phoebe n Rege'. We burn for u.
These interviewers really put me to sleep. No fun at all. It’d be a party if I got to interview them ❤️ love hearing the cast speak, such intelligence and grace.
The most amazing series..we all needed during lockdown ..so much diversity it was brilliant and so glad all ethnicities were brought in it made it accessible to all ..
Despite being fictional he's Simon Bassett, known forever more as The Duke of Hastings. Surely interviewers should research beforehand to prevent the most basic of mistakes.
Fantastic series with fantastic talented actors, after watching it almost for the fifth time, still can’t get enough and my English accent is improving, after all that said , Rege will become larger than life, finally we got a leading male actor that has it all for this era, no doubt he will have a glorious career with so many fans.
As a lover of historic romance and a huge Julia Quinn fan as well as having the Bridgerton books and their related series being as familiar and well known to me as my own family, I eagerly waited this series. I thank everyone for bringing it to Netflix. Hoping all the siblings’ stories get produced and aired.
@@ibbyv No, the interviewers are grim so the people they are interviewing are grim. How could she say Bridgerton was not like Jane Austen? Has she ever read/watched Jane Austen's works? Ugh! So disappointing that this interview came from an African American organization.
Nice interview! I love the Bridgerton series, love the casts! I can't wait for season 2. Currently reading the books while waiting for the next season ^^
@@c0ronariu5 it sucks even more because they just decided they are going to run down a list of questions, not paying attention to any answers, not following up on anything said to make the interview flow better, and the stale school-principal style intro to the whole thing was comedy.
So sad that Rege sees Simon as “wounded”. He is a survivor. I stutter and now in my sixth decade as such I assure you I may have been hurt and ostracized but I am not “wounded”. I too stopped talking but now do public speaking and always seek the share a compliment with a stranger whenever I am out. Simon is a survivor as am I and so are all who overcome not the handicapable event of a speech impediment but rather overcome the smallness of society in thinking we all need to be alike.
He meant that Simon was wounded by the trauma of being unwanted by his father. His mother was dead at the time of his birth and so for the most time, he lived his life alone. In this context, his stutter was the least of his challenges.
He didn't mean wounded because he stuttered. He was disowned by his only parent, who said he wasn't good enough to be his son. His father called him an idiot right to his face when he was just four years old. When you seen him as a child, he was always by himself, with some teacher standing over him. Had it not been for Lady D. he probably would not have been shown any love, and compassion at all. It's hard to love anyone, or be loved by anyone if you weren't really shown love in your life. It's hard to connect with others, when you never really had that connection to begin with. That's what he meant by being wounded.
this interview felt uncomfortable in the sense that there was just questions and questions as if being read off a script, no friendly segues or jovial conversation at all
I like the series for the most part so far, but with the exception of the Lady Danbury role, it would have been better if some of the women of color that don't appear racially ambiguous would have had speaking roles.
Didn't like this interview. I'm gonna say this movie was about to me , I'm African American I enjoyed it. I t was refreshing to see Blacks in high positions .
If I recall, it was her grandson who marries a Bridgerton girl. But you're right; Lady Danbury has 2 daughters, at least; one marries a marquis and the other to a baron.
@@tarwen862003 I recently reread It's In His Kiss so I know for sure Lady Danbury has at least one son while Gareth is her grandson from her youngest daughter.
@@sherryillk It's In His Kiss is my 2nd fav of the Bridgerton series (with Duke and I being the 1st) so that's why I remember from reading so many times. I would assume Gareth's mom is younger one, since How to Marry A Marquis was published way before It's In His Kiss.

He now has not worked in 2 years since his "big come up"!. He's 2021 moment. No other roles on the horizon. This was suppose to be his big break, more like a fizzle after Bridgerton. His role in the Gray Man was considered the worst performance by many credible critics. He's suppose to have a Tv series and another movie "pre-production". Too bad it has almost none lgbt representation! I hope they fix that next season because they say that they wanted to create a show where everyone can relate themselves to. Well for a gay man like me that was not the case this season. The lgbt representation was extremely not present. It was sooo straight and the gay content that was in it was only 3 minor scenes that dont last 3 minutes together. :( I hope they will explore it more with Benedict next season. Because if they want this world to reflect modern day society and cast people of color in high society roles, they can also implement a proper gay romance storyline.
Let's just give them some time ? You can't put everything in just one season. The first season is about Daphne as the first book of the series. And you can already seen the LGBT aspect with Benedict and Eloise. The girls in the first season knew nothing about sex and sexuality, Benedict was introduced and shocked to see 2 man having sex. So it would be a rush to put lgbt content just for the sakes of lgbt contents. It's a journey.
@@zuzu5683 thats completely fair AND true. You shouldn't rush these kind of storylines. But I do hope they will explore a storyline like that more in the next season and not drop it completely now that they've put Benedict in the modistes bed. It would be a real shame if they dropped it.
I could listen to Adjoa speak all day! She exudes elegance and I love her natural hair style much more than the wigs on the series! 😍
She is phenomenal and a treat to watch in the show.

this Interview felt like my zoom meetings from the university😂
it felt uncomfortable... anyway love the Bridgerton ❤
Very awkward.
That’s because the interviewers were not consistent w their questioning - especially the man Gil who introduced the cast 🧐
Rege and Adjoa’s giggling at 16:37 was so adorable. Everyone else seemed so serious. Lol
That one dislike must be from Burbrook.
Or from Rege “John” page 😂😂🙄

Burbrook was necessary ..read the book
And you all need to go outside and touch some grass and stop being obsessed with a TV show that borders on soft porn!
