Who ever trained the cast with the intimacy scenes did an incredible job, they were on point. I love how daphne was both naive and confident at the same time. And I loved how they focused on female pleasure in those scenes. The music, amazing acting, costumes ahhhh I want more !!!
Eloise is the BEST casting EVER. Penelope is a close second. SIMON is on a whole other level.. HOLY SHIT they did a GREAT job!! LOVE it as much as I loved the book, the Duke and I

This series caught me by surprise. I ended up watching it the entire day/night. I enjoyed the characters, storyline, costume, and the beauty of the scenes. I got wonderfully lost in this series. I can't wait until the next season.

There are table reads, group preparation, individual preparation, meet ups to get to know each other and then you start filming. They said they had about 6 weeks before they actually started shooting. That was enough to get familiar with each other. Also the intimate scenes were choreographed by an intimacy coordinator so they knew exactly where one was going to put his/hers hand and etc

Colin is my favorite but I wasn’t as big a fan in the show because I didn’t like all the angst with Marina. Colin is the joyful, happy Bridgerton so that bummed me out. I can’t help feeling that they may not have Sophie in the series and maybe go with a gay Benedict storyline. I could 100% be wrong but I wasn’t a huge book 3 or Sophie fan so I wouldn’t mind. Books 4 and 6 are my favorite. I really adored Francesca and I love Michael. 🤗

After watching multiple interviews of the cast, I’ve come to the realisation that I love Claudia Jessie! Love her personality. She’s so outgoing and, not to mention, stunning.
I read these books almost 10 years ago now, and Colin and Penelope were my absolute favourite characters. I LOVE what they’ve done with Penelope, and hoping that Colin builds more of his joker and outgoing personality in the next seasons. Eloise was very well cast, brought her more to life than she was in the books, even. Simon took my breath away, yes I know he’s not white, but he’s so much MORE than anything I could have possibly imagined lol just WOW *chef’s kiss*
Perfect series for this horrible time of pandemic with perfect cast, they are all superb, but duke is the most eye catcher, he will become bigger than life for sure...

In terms of Daphne and Simon’s story, it was fairly faithful. The definitely added characters (the queen and her nephew are not in the books) and even though Marina wasn’t added to the story, she isn’t in any part of the series until the fifth book and even then, she’s not a big role. Also, in the books, she’s a Bridgerton cousin, not a Featherington cousin. Also, Nigel Berbrooke isn’t really a villain in the series- he’s ends up marrying a Featherington sister and they’re kind of a goofy, happy pair. That said, I thought in terms of major Daphne/Simon plot, it was a really good interpretation.

Of course, it wasn’t an explicit sex scene like the ones shown/described here, but she spoke about her feeling frustrated at not feeling like she was “getting the emotion of her character right”-something like that, and how Adam was really patient and encouraging. I wondered why they made her first day be THAT scene, specifically, and now your answer makes perfect sense! Getting awkwardness out of the way and establishing chemistry is certainly a good way to get those things scratched off the list.✅✅😄

Yes they were suppose to. I learned in the show that the age of 15 they had to look for a mate. Simon was 20 and his wife 15 or 16 when they married and a baby soon after she discover he really could have children. But she lost that one. But eventually they had one so she was 16 or 17. If I heard right.. but in those days they married young. I have an Aunt how's mother got married at 14. She is now 80.

Read the books, saw this was coming out like 3 days before it was released and I checked to see if it was the Bridgerton that I knew about. I watched it and loved it, I'm now patiently waiting for season 2. I already reread the whole book series after watching season 1.

I find this programme offensive on many levels. That black girl looks terrible in 18th century garb and its an insult to her culture to be clowned up like that. Totally historically inaccurate. Its bay watch in poorly designed satin costumes and obviously made to the teenage masses. When will the US stop trying to make blacks white and respect them for what they are? Read the books, saw this was coming out like 3 days before it was released and I checked to see if it was the Bridgerton that I knew about. I watched it and loved it, I'm now patiently waiting for season 2. I already reread the whole book series after watching season 1.

I hope there is a season 2! I binge watched all 8 episodes and found myself smiling and talking out loud during scenes. It was well cast the outfits were beautiful the story was captivating. I enjoyed watching it. Shondaland, awesome!

I find this programme offensive on many levels. That black girl looks terrible in 18th century garb and its an insult to her culture to be clowned up like that. Totally historically inaccurate. Its bay watch in poorly designed satin costumes and obviously made to the teenage masses. When will the US stop trying to make blacks white and respect them for what they are? I cant watch this drivel.

@@steviealessi5412 if it was historically accurate then likely we would have a tough time understanding what they’re even saying because English was very different back then. Take Shakespeare for example, it’s just sooooo difficult to understand without having to search words up.
Never even heard of Julia Quinn or the Bridgertons and was bored so watched the 1st episode on Netflix and finished the whole season the next day! LOVED the characters and so desperately waiting for season 2 and am now reading the books!! LOVE IT!
