Thank you for this interview. I feel like I got a peek into Tina's life away from the spotlight. She was such a magnificent woman and artist. Her legacy will live on for sure.
Why interviewers always ask biracial people questions like that its so insulting
I saw this movie last weekend. The themes were ambitious and the actors brought it, but the script lacked depth.
I suggest you watch it again.
This is such a beautiful discussion
Wow thank you for this.
18:30 was what stood out to me the most about the film. I loved how Jeremy Saulnier made it a point to keep Aaron's character, "Terry" non-violent, but simultaneously lethal. Terry was not one to underestimate, and we see this beautifully & slowly unfold in this film. Thank you for this interview.
what an awesome panel with great questions for all the cast. Really enjoyed!!!
Whewww amazing conversation ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
When will we ever see the episodes?
Awesome in-depth genuine authentic conversation well done to you both❤💐
Great round table interview
😂😂😂😂I love how coquettish and coy one of the females got during the interview. I think Aaron picked up on it too. 😂😂😂😂. Great interview I loved the question regarding him changing from multiple roles. Actors/Actresses can have 4 or 5 film productions in one year and may have to channel and exercise their brains and minds to bring the character to life.
How can I become part of this group Aafca? Great interview.
Muwaahhh! 😘💚 🦋✌🏾🌻💦😻🌞🌈
An incredible round-table with insightful, probing questions. Aaron is todays Denzel Washington. Good looking, articulate, talented, wise and grounded. He deserves to be a huge star. His body of work is already impressive, I look forward to witnessing his growth in the industry.
Kind of nice to work with someone who was sentenced to life in prison for all of his S3xual assaults!
DEI Frasier. Good luck with that 😂
11:50 😂
That was cute
@@toribrown2443yes🥹
@@toribrown2443His laugh 😭 he’s so humble
Aww😊
Awesome 👏🏾💯
I love hearing other people's opinions about this movie ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aaron's answer to Dana's question about tone of voice is interesting. I have seen Aaron Pierre in two performances (The Underground Railroad and Foe) and he brings depth and warmth to characters that could easily be played in an exaggerated way. I appreciate the measured approach without theatrics.
Dude is a full on vibe
I wonder will there be a Q&A?
This lady knows who killed biggie and tupac
I just finished watching 'The Deliverance' and I really enjoyed the movie. I think it was incredibly well directed and acted, in a way that made all of the characters relatable to me as an audience to the film. The feelings and the emotions of the characters were valid for what each of the characters were going through, and came across so authentically that once we got into the supernatural aspects of the film it was completely believable. I think all of the performers did a terrific job, the crew did an incredible job from the set decorations to the lighting, to the sound, to the cinemetography..... it was very well directed. As I said, I could relate to each of the characters, and regardless of what each character was struggling with, there was a foundation of love that came to the forefront as the movie progressed. Everything just seemed very genuine, and anytime where things could have easily went down the path of stereotypes and Hollywood tropes, Lee Daniels expertly avoided them, which was extremely refreshing. I felt like I was in the room with these women and children experiencing what was going on, with them.... as opposed to feeling like I was looking on from afar as a mere observer. I also enjoyed listening to this discussion between the collection of film critics and Andra Day, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor & director Lee Daniels. It was very informative in terms of how they accomplished the completed film. Thank all of you for sharing. (Now I wish they had hired Lee Daniels to do the new Exorcist Trilogy as opposed to David Gordon Green, because I think we would have gotten much better films and story-telling than what we are getting.) This film definitely ranks among my top favorite horror/thriller films, and I feel it's the best possession film made since the original Exorcist in 1973, and in some aspects, even better in terms of character arcs & character development.
Wonderful interview! I love all these highly skilled actors! I'd love to see you all in a Christmas movie!
I love your videos alot and my brother and my sister ❤❤❤
Im really proud of oak cuz he chose not to be a scammer...... They always say there's nothing else to do...... Well it's right here so........ To add to what Renee said about the last guy's question: this is why i stopped and i really want everyone to stop calling people Karens...... I prefer the term Godzilla because you bever know what little girl named karen you are hurting What a great interview thanks for posting! ❤
I always thought she was Latina. But her father is English/italian that’s what I looked up.
Excellent piece! Congrats to Abdul Abbott for producing a continuously positive body of work!
I'm so excited to watch this!🙌🏾
What a wonderful and thoughtful interview. I'm intrigued and look forward to watching the series. Thank you AAFCA.
Thank you to the entire AAFCA Team for arranging this great opportunity to discuss A Quiet Place: Day One with Lupita!
Oak and Renee are both so very humble and generous, I love it!
Wow, he has a spirit like my bestie, like Tabitha Brown
Phenomenal movie!!! I had no idea when I entered the theater and chose a random movie, that I would be so profoundly impacted!!! Thanks to everyone that contributed to this masterpiece!!!!
NOPE, This is Deborah's series. It wouldn't be the same watching it without her.
Luke is giving Edmund and now I can't unsee it 😂😂😂 He played that character frfr
If there's a legit Marvin Gaye biopic in the future, look no further than Mr. Luke James.
Min 13:40 - 13:50 is CRUCIAL! as a black person I get it and have tried both successfully and unsuccessfully but fighting racism together while first letting those most impacted lead (generally black) is crucial going forward.... it's still very difficult but it's needed, so it's worth it imo
Its DONNA SUMMER! NOT SUMMERS!
David Alan Grier’s Face @14:00 is screaming “MAN…Get outta here with that B#LL§H!T!!! 😒😊😂😂😂
Great movie and wonderful chemistry with Dakota
This director is full of crap. He portrays the woman as white and he chose a biracial actor to be the lead. This movie is doing too much.
As soon as I saw the trailer and got past the title I asked why is this mixed dude the main lead and why's he chasing a white girl or non black woman? Shouldn't the main guy be in a relationship with a black woman? This movie looks trash. The black community does not approve
Woo Chiile. Kobi said what he said. He managed to tell himself that he could eliminate colorism, provide no cultural divides or differences AND describe the effects of systemic racism. He does not have enough information/education to climb that mountain. I think he's actually trying to justify/come to terms with anti-blackness on both sides of his biracial family
If the director/writer doesn't go get therapy!!! There's nothing about this movie that is okay. It's insulting to white people and insulting to black people. The travesty is the writer and director doesn't understand his own history of how black people survived life in the U.S. up to the civil rights movement. He needs to educate himself... have a sit down with Micheal Eric Dyson and get back to us after you destroy this mess. I don't understand how he did zero research. Don't waste money on this garbage.
You’re white aren’t you?
Thank you and your team for the work you put in for AAFCA Members! Looking forward to all that is coming the rest of this year!
Iwaju is an enjoyable animation series. There is lots of potential for the series to continue with new themes and story arcs with Tola and Kole.
💜💜💜
My favorite movie in years - so well written and well acted
