Im not really onto the D3.2 train, but I am glad to see Dbrunski Happy lol! Glad that some ppl are just having a little fun with it despite me not really liking how the game looks, plays, and turned out overall. For years all of you guys have made lots of guides with D2, and I can only imagine getting burned out on the content there lol. Just hope that maybe over time D4 can get better and maybe balance better with all of your guy's critique. Until then just have fun with it and I'll probably get this game when 3-4 expansions have come out to refine it better.

how are you getting so much spirit regen?
Put 3 points into abundance
Put 3 points in clarity
Use storm strike and pulverize to shift from druid to bear to get regrn from clarity. Petrfiy final node and the final earth passive that grants spirit regen on lucky hit (forget the name). I will also gran paragon points that give spirit after kill.

I just finished and I'm not a story/lore person so questing was basically just leveling, when I finished it I wasn't as happy either because I still had a few levels to go to finish the capstone dungeon, get 50 and unlock T3.
What should he do? Nut all over the camera?

And still d2r's interface and layout is still better and I also think the art style is better

@@egseven yeah idk if you've play Project Diablo 2 but it has done so much more for QoL, balancing and adding interesting items/mechanics than D2R has... By a long shot. Only "problem" (if you can even call it that) is that it doesn't have updated graphics. But it does have enhanced shaders and widescreen support. I don't think D2s original aesthetic is bad at all. It's dripping with 90s gaming photorealism. Kind of a dead art.
@@calm2348 Path of Diablo is awesome too. I had a really hard time coming back to regular D2 after playing PoD. The Quality of Life changes are world above terror zones and sunder charms

Dont you think that D2 will survive D4 also? I played the beta and yes its fun but the massive amount of legendary loot was a bit to much. Also the skilltree was boring, to similar to D2s build ups but easier to understand. The other parts of crafting etc was fun. I think ill stick to D2.

The biggest mistake was making the gear easy to get. Scarcity creates value.

@@brandonsaunders6580 That's because the sequels are designed by Warcraft people, not Diablo people. All of the items, stat systems, are based on the Warcraft 3 Hero's system, as far as I can tell.
Primary attribute, stats, cooldowns, etc. All From Warcraft 3.

I played d2r for a month then stopped, then tried again but it was boring. Playing same game for 20years is just not fun
If i wanted diablo 3 or PoE id play them. Glad i saved my 80 bucks maybe get it on PS store when its 20 bucks.

Amen. I cleared the capstone dungeon last night. I really enjoyed the gameplay. The story was very well done, the cutscenes were top notch, and the atmosphere was the grim, macabre dark world we would expect after D1 and D2.
I guess now I can see how the end game holds up. But after sinking a couple thousand hours into D2 and D2R farming the same shit over and over, I’m ready for something new.
Lol what about the people who have been playtesting it for months and months, got early access and still said the game isnt that good. They have a much better idea of what the game is than you or I. There opinion isnt right and doesnt matter though because you like it? Incredibly shallow my friend

I, like others will not be buying this game. Doesnt mean i, like others can't give out our opinions/criticisms. Thats how things evolve and get better for everyone. Im genuinely happy for anyone who likes this game, and encourage discussing it, and giving out your opinions.
Dismissing others opinions though because they dont align with yours is not the same as having a healthy debate. This does not make things evolve and get better for everyone, it does the opposite really
I’m really enjoying D4 thus far. Any D2 comparisons are nonsense. They are very different games from totally different eras. I grew up on D2 and I still play D2R. Silly to compare the two.

Silly to compare two games that are the same franchise? No, it’s not silly to compare the two. Diablo 3/4 are literally different games than Diablo 2 other than the name.
We’re totally valid to feel the way we feel about the VAST deviation from the original game we all fell in love with. If Diablo 3/4 had a different name and different franchise, it would be fine. But they dumbed everything down and changed the entire mechanics of the game.
Blizzard murdered Diablo 2, gave us Diablo 3/4 and told us to be happy.
@@dylanbailey6216 D2 is vastly different than Diablo 1. Guess what, I remember playing D2 back in the day.. like 2000-2004 and having people, lots of people tell me why D1 was superior. Games go in different directions to deal with it. D4 is miles ahead of D3 and I don't think you remember Diablo 2 classic.. and what that game was like upon release. LOD brought in a lot of the systems we love and enjoy from D2 along with numerous patches. The game just came out ffs, chill and give the devs time to improve upon it.
This game is not for me, and thats perfectly fine. D3 wasn't for me either, also fine. But when you watch the *GAME PLAY* how do you not see diablo 3?
Yes, the environment is darker, thats not what people meant when they asked for more d2 influence into d4. This will play out the same way the d2 vs d3 thing went. D2 will still be incredibly popular a decade after d4 has been out. D3 wont be remastered, d4 wont be remastered but d2 will still hold more interest from players long after these games have been out and force the team to either go back to d2 again (which is why we got a remaster in the first place) and maybe we get another expansion? Or maybe, just maybe, we all get the diablo game we want, and this isnt it
Yeah, unfortunately Diablo 3 was wildly successful. So in Blizzards eyes, of course the just want to make something that’s going to make the most money and have a big player base. It makes me wonder why they felt they had to vastly differ from Diablo 2. Maybe some legal issues from Blizzard North and the newer team?

I understand the "success" argument about d3, but its not really indicative of how successful it truly was. Nobody actually knew how vastly different d3 was from d2 until they bought it and played it. It sold alot of copies but a very large %of people that bought d3 immediately went back to d2. So much so that they made the decision to remaster the game in the first place. I remember someone actually posting numbers a long time ago when d4 was announced. There were a few thousand people still playing d3, at the same time there was well over 100k people still playing og d2. Almost 20 years later lol
I hate how dismissive people are over this debate, they act so childish about it and just say "take your nostalgia goggles off", d2 is the better game, the more popular game, yet, the new game, d4, takes 99%of its inspiration from d3, the less popular game...what sense does that make?
There are many reasons d2 is preferred over the newer iterations, but for me, the biggest, most important one is the itemization/loot drops. D4 and d3 alike dont even come close to scratching that itch
Can you specify what about the D2 gameplay that is superior?
When comparing Sorc in D4 to D2, I find D4's gameplay superior. Instead of having nigh infinite mana, mobs that pose no threat, and spamming Teleport, and one of Fireball/Blizzard/Lightning and mixing in static field for bosses, in D4 I have to watch my surroundings, maintain distance from mobs, move in close range to mobs for certain abilities, manage resource, watch status effects, time cooldowns for burst dmg.
I'll take D4's gameplay right now. Maybe I go back to farming for the couple 1/300,000 drops (Griff's eye, Death's Web) on D2R after I get tired of D4, but who knows when that will be.

My point wasn't so much about the gameplay, but how the game *looks* *when* *played* Its d3 adjacent.
All the numbers flying, the explosions and constant aoe popping off everywhere. Its much more a sequel to d3 than d3 was a sequel to d2 imo.
As far as gameplay goes you have to do that stuff in d2 also depending on builds and areas and monsters etc. You have to watch your surroundings, dolls or something could rush you in a second. Maintain distance from mobs, plenty of monsters in the game especially terrorized, can hit most builds pretty hard. Souls destroy most builds up close or from a far. You have to move in close range to mobs for certain abilities, you arent going to smite a guy from 15 ft or hit them with a nova etc. You have to manage resources...your life and mana. Status effects too, curses and even some monsters poison skills can delete you incredibly fast.
There are caveats with all of this of course. There are ways around all of it. You can make some pretty godly builds that are seemingly impervious to most damages/monsters etc., but that will certainly be the case with d4 in time also.
I have always said that my biggest problem with the games after d2 was the itemization. Its literally my favorite part. Every item class has uses. Whites/magic/rare/sets/uniques all of them have a place with crafting/socketing/runewords and just the unique mods that can be rolled. You cant roll +3 to a skill tree on a rare but you can on a magic for example. Some of these items can be BiS or carry you to the endgame for your build. In d3 and d4 you're just trashing almost everything you drop for mats. Some legendaries you may keep for the affix but all your items will eventually be outclassed as you level up. I dont like that. It doesnt make you feel any item is special or cool unique or anything. It pretty much boils down to green arrow = equip red arrow = scrap for mats
Lol blizzard or any other arpg maker will never make D2 fans happy. "New game isn't like 25 year old game, this is a tragedy!"

I played first d3 on ps4 back in 2015,and I started d2 first time in 2020. And in my opinion d2 is better and in some way more addictive then d3,but d2 still have some things to improve to be fair. But is game fun after playing it for 10 years like some people,ofc it's not.
New game lacks features, diversity and complexity of a 25 year old game. Lmao
IAM 46 an was a huge fan of D2. But for me D4 is the new king, that game so good. My friends and I blasting through the game and having so much fun. I am currently lvl 53 and I don’t whant the weekend to end.
When 80% of videos comments are people calling it D3 and bashing the game 😆 I give it a month tops before games dead.

Not a big fan on having cooldowns on every single spell, very boring gameplay tbh.
This game isn't for me! Blizzard games really lost their appeal.
Not every skill has a cooldown.
No you can't just spam one skill in perpetuity and watch the mobs fall over in front of you without having spent a moment in danger.
It's just like Doom 2016 vs Doom Eternal all over again. You don't get infinite ammo, and you can't just use the SSG and Siege Mode Gauss Cannon the entire game.

@@BT-zu2wi my point exactly, it's the same gameplay as D3, which I didn't find entertaining personally. People like to shit on D2 but when you run to the story you can actually die much easier than in these recent games. Difficulty doesn't start at Greater Rift 100+ or whatever.
Also you don't spam 1 ability in D2, maybe you are talking about end game sorc build or something, but when you play through the story there are tons of little utility spells. Cloak of Shadows + Mind Blast with assassin, etc. When you character becomes OP with runewords you don't need those anymore so to the noob eye it seems like you spam one spell, but the actual gameplay experience of an untwinked character (let's say solo playthrough) is challenging and requires the use of utility spells / resource management.
Have you seen D4 gameplay footage? Literally everyone is always full hp unless they make a drastic misplay.

From my experience, it isn't that similar. I've enjoyed it a lot thus far. Unlocked Nightmare difficulty but at lvl 48 I wasn't that strong so I went back to Tier II to power up a bit. The look and atmosphere of this game is definitely true to the precedent Diablo I and II set.
It's more similar to Diablo Immortal than D3
to me it feels like 80% d3 10% d2, and 10% generic mmo

I'm a hardcore player in d2 and what I played of d3, d4 damage spikes look ridiculous at certain points
People are so upset over others enjoying D4 lol. This is definitely more fun than farming the same 4 bosses over and over in D2. D2 is my favorite game but the best part of the end game was the PvP. No idea how PvM scrubs can enjoy hundreds of hours of unengaging farming
Thing is alot of people dont enjoy the lvling scale, the itemization, open world dont feel so...open. cant chat with anyone in a multiplayer game etc...tbh I played it and it's boring af. Might be a decent game to some but its nothing mind blowing, nothing new. Just to be fair
The worst part of D2 is the PVP for me. Farming monsters and getting that satisfying drop is a trillion times more enjoyable to me, not sure how people can even enjoy PVP in an ARPG but I guess fun is subjective.

Itemisation in d2 is what made it special, when you find a unique hydra bow or sacred armor praying its tyreals might is a feeling d4 can't hope to match! Each to their own of course d2 isn't for everyone

This is my first time seeing Diablo 4 gameplay.
Where's the soul? Item descriptions look like they were written in Microsoft Word. Gamplay is so slow, like the worst of both WoW and LoL. Too arcade-y at times with the "vulnerable" text pops and such, it's like watching a WoW melee fight saying "Parry, Parry" over and over.
Graphics are just plain poor. D2R has much better graphics.

Been trying to enjoy D4 and it's fine with people, but it doesn't hook me like D2 or D2R. I'd rather have huge class changes in D2R that shift the meta than be playing D4.

Game absolutely sucks. Campaign is complete garbage. It’s a Diablo 3 expansion with a darker atmosphere. People are giving Blizzard and this game way too much credit. It was a lazy cash grab. This game couldn’t shine Diablo 2’s shoes. It can’t shine Diablo 3’s shoes either. Completely overhyped game.

Dude, I feel playing Diablo IV will hurt your youtube/twitch career in the long run. The game is terrible and there's going around that fact. Fan request - please do more Diablo II content cause otherwise far fewer people will be interested.
