Alright, so there's a couple things I actually learned in my last night's stream that kinda came to my knowledge a *little* too late for this upload. Hope you guys will notice this 👀 1) *Apparently staves scale damage better than wands do.* I guess this is somewhat obvious to make up for the trade-off of losing the ability to wear a shield. 2) *Flame Geyser is potentially the best spell to go for?* I don't know myself since I never tried it, but apparently the DoT is strong enough when maxed out to kill an enemy over its duration early on. It's kind of like with Assists' Moon Beam, you use it and just wait until the enemy drops. You then just juggle between mobs as they die after a short delay, although not nearly as satisfying as magical blasts. :D Thanks to Fasthief from Totemia for pointing these out and being a generally wholesome person!
The giraffe finally had a happy ending, how wholesome! 😄It's been a habit of mine to make my videos to just consist of comedic relief but I decided to go for a proper story this time. How did you guys like it, more of this or just more giraffe insanity?!
Honestly, just about any spell you want! All the "third-tier" magic spells are just about as good, although the topic of element comes heavily into question :) I would recommend checking through the map what encounters you'll be facing in the future and deciding on a spell based on that - the more of the same element, the better! ^^ If you're not really sure how the elements interact with each other yet, I recommend checking my element guide out. The best pick to start out with would be a class that wouldn't rely too much on stats to work well. In this particular case magicians are definitely a good choice as spells cannot miss and hit hard ^^ Another alternative would be playing assists, either with a full INT build paired with Moon Beam or just a regular 1v1 assist and being able to buff yourself later down the road. There's also the acrobats or bow acrobats in particular, as you can just build DEX on them for both damage and hit rate, which becomes pretty dependable fairly soon! Due to the fact that skills can't miss, characters that are built for AoE combat perform generally well even without buffs, but surviving multiple monsters can be tough with some of them without a dedicated healer and supporting buffs. I recommend making an AoE character that avoids contact with enemies such as Hit and Run (HnR) AoE types, although they are also fairly limited without the extra speed buff from a buffer. But on the other hand, it might also be easier to find a partner to play with when you play AoE :) Either way, I hope these suggestions will help you at least a little bit, feel free to ask more if you're left with any questions
Hello, it's LookaL2K from Flyff :D I have one question: Why does my new elementor skill (Void) that has Base Damage 99 ~ 100 and Attack Scaling INT x 5.58 hits LESS than my old mage skill (Wind Cutter) that only has Base Damage 59 ~ 60 and Attack Scaling INT x 3.18? Shouldn't the new one hit much more, since it has higher values? They are both single target wind skills and they are both tested on the same mob, so it's not a resistance issue. I was really looking forward to these new skills, but this is really disappointing. Tl;dr: Skill with lower values hits more than skill with higher values??
Honestly, I have no idea. Looking through Flyffipedia as well all the information checks out, and it's not like you've misunderstood the element of said skills. There is practically no reason for Void to be doing less damage, but... it does. Really interesting 👀Sounds like a conflict with the presented values vs. actual code. That being said though, the real value of being an Elementor is in the AoE skills you'll be learning soon. 1v1 is not an approach you should stick to for too long, and the real skills you should be looking forward to are Windfield, Poison Cloud and so on. And even if THEY hit less, the area damage will make it all the more worth it ^^
@@emenalus Yeah, but I thought I'd get some better 1v1 skills to help me get to 65, judging by the values... And I guess at least one good single target skill is always good to have anyway. Oh well...
