    Sold to us as fast downloads, but in reality they are part of the Internet of things. Cars and people need to be tracked for commerce and control reasons, as well as the fridge door maybe. If they want to charge motorists by the mile, they need to track them from the minute they leave home, so antennas need to be on the street with no trees around, hence the amount of trees that have been cut down in the last three years.

    That first monopole tower is an N77 / N78 3-sector tower operating at just a couple of watts per sector, which with the typical antenna gain will be around 12-24dBm EIRP because of how close they are to end users. You will note the conical GPS antenna in the center of the top truss (for frame synchronization), the three almost-square RRUs (remote radio units) at the top that drive the antennas, and the three taller 120-degree sector antennas below it. Depending on whether these particular towers are before or after Hutchison / Three won that extra 80MHz of spectrum in the top end of N77, they may be pushing upwards of 100MHz per sector out of that tower, which won't go very far, but can move a considerable amount of bandwidth given it's at 3.4-3.8GHz and the proximity to end users.
    The last tower you looked at, looks to have just a single modern antenna element (note the lack of weathering) servicing band n77/n78, which would align with the sporadic / not fully saturated output you're seeing on the waterfall diagram. These are often used to "fill in" coverage in more rural areas, such as along a motorway or from the hill overlooking a town, while the smaller "urban monopoles" you saw earlier do most of the heavy lifting.

    • @psibug565
      @psibug565 2 місяці тому +4

      The mobile tower is transmitting in the sub 4 gigahertz range and the signal will drop in power sharply as you move away the transmitter. So one way to test how dangerous it is, would be to put a glass of water next to your Wifi which does transmit in the 5 gigahertz range and check the if temperature goes up and how much it goes up by. Make sure to control the variables so don’t do it near warm windows or radiators and have a second glass with the same amount of water in it that isn’t near the transmitter to compare the temperature with. If the temp goes up by a noticeable amount compared to the control and the ambient temperature, then you may have a problem.

      The operators do not want the towers to transmit very far. They only have a limited supply of frequencies, so want to reuse them as much as possible to have the maximum capacity on their networks. This is why they are moving away from rooftop and tower sites to the street furniture that you see in this video.

Last year, they added some outer panels to the top 20ft or so. These panels seem to protect what's inside. This pole is bigger than the ones near you and we're pretty sure they're for 5G. It looks a bit menacing because of its size and with the American flag flying from it, the flag can't properly wave in the wind. It just doesn't look right. I have previously tried the apps you mentioned to sort out which cell I was connected too. However I encountered a problem, cell towers are regarded as essential for communication in times of distress, I storms, or war and (at least some) will give false readings to protect their exact location. Examples - I live in Estonia, to search out my local Tele2 tower I was directed to the edge of a forest, I know what lies beyond this point in every direction, there is nothing that could remotely be a cell tower. The actual tower I was using was about a kilometre from my apartment in a different direction. Inquiries led me to discover some cell towers can be deemed an essential neccesary security for rapid communication of the public and are protected against apps that betray their location.

      Hi,
      I think you have been misinformed about the size of the power supply.
      Generally they are between 5 and 100 watts at the near field RF power, meaning they have no requirement for such high current.
      For a mast to be 10 meters from a property is highly unlikely.
      But here is a basic power density calculation for 10mtrs at 100W.
      100*20/(4*π*10³)= 0.159mW/cm² which even at that "In my opinion too close" distance, it falls a magnitude below the 2mW/cm² ICNIRP guidelines for public exposure which is a safety factor of 5 from occupational max exposure and a factor of 10 for maximum near field exposure.
      Hope this helps.

      If you request a copy of the safety certification the company gave the planning department of the local council, you’ll find they’ve used the name of a dissolved company and any other company names on the paperwork have small changes to their name…just enough for it to be classed as ‘different’ from the real company…also the addresses are usually fake! There’s no one to put a claim against for harm caused by them….and they’ve used that legal back door to protect the real companies…however, it’s classed as serious fraud. Apparently it’s a Chinese company committing the fraud…they’ve covered their backs for a reason!
      Don’t forget too…NONE OF THESE ARE INSURED! They can’t get insurance to protect public health because they know the harms do exist! The Richard Vobes channel had a researcher on recently about this. 🙂👍🏻
