the whole thing for the sound is to keep the filter box open. if you have it closed then there will be no difference. try with the bix open and please make another video

I just bought one for the same engine, it does sound way better, in the 4k RPMs it really starts to scream. But, if you dont get a tune your check engine light turns on. Its the airmass sensor that is causing it (i guess its called like that, i am german).
@@harisyoung4110 yeah i did, but the check engine light wasnt only for the airmasssensor, it also said a lean air to fuel ratio was present while running the filter, confirmed by the abnormal high oil usage
Lol, it cant be due changed air filter that lean condition its impossible. You need to increase boost pressure like 15%+, in order to reach lean level out of range, that ecu throw cel. Possibly you have another problems, and that filter was enough to lean out you too much, for example you needed 0.1% more air for going out of nornal fuel mixture range..
K&N filters are designed to be mounted close to to the grill or at least outside an air box. If your filter is in the airbox it is acting like a silencer or muted sound.I have a K&N cone filter mounted behind my driver's side fog light with a vent coming straight to it for cold air. Once you go over two-and-a-half thousand revs it really grunts and sounds like an absolute demon..
After half year I can say that the car consumes less fuel, about one or one and a half liters less. But power, that's just 163 horses, I did not notice much. About sound, clip say everything... It is same.
@@rustedhero888i think he meant over a period after 6 months he noticed less fuel consumption by 1 or 1,5 liters per 100 km. So lets say with the old filter 8 Liters per 100km and with the new Filter it were then 7L/100km..

The good thing as that you got more airflow and did not have to replace the paper filter every 15thousand kilometers, you can just clean you K&N....

I put K&N filter in my car and my power is weak so I put branches and AMG exhaust system and now is moving very quickly with original filter.

Sorry , but this is only a filter not a full kit air intake it's normal you will no have sound if it's still in boox
The only way this works is if u remove the filter put a coupler on the maf sensor and put a stack wit a filter on the end

The supercharger is under the air filter. It’s the grey metal thing that looks a bit like an alternator😊
