Man, that thing hasn't go compression enough to start. Hold that torch under the head or the intake. Get that head hot as hell. Pour a little gasoline down the intake. That's making me tired just watching.

@@nuclearshark3763 yes, i ve done it myself, a couple of times i runned out of fuel on my diesel car, instead of making it tow(since diesel.needs to refill the lines and fuel.filter before starting back), i just poured gas on the intake conduit, waited a couple minutes for.vapors to build up and cranked up the engine, wiyh the running engine energy the fuel lines filled up easily, it works even better with an ether spray can, like the ones for cold weather starts

@@LOREGUINNESS Well I suppose it depends on which diesel engine we are talking about but starting fluid ignites at a far lower compression than diesel and as the ether isn't injected but rather inducted like a carburettor petrol vehicle it can self ignite Waaaay before top dead centre. Beside the engineers who designed my 60 year old Mercedes w110 190d whilst recommending a winter mix of 50-50 diesel kerosene fuel thoroughly disapprove of ether or petrol so I will rely on their expertise

A can of ether works great and a rope wrapped around the Belt pulley pulled by a tractor or vehicle. Less likely the workers will be to warn out from trying to start that thing and more time to actual farming. Hope it gets easier for everyone.

There's no filter! They're pouring used motor oil in the intake, my guess is to get more compression.

Instead of fire, spray some deodorant into the intake and try.
Also, heat up the fuel line a bit, thinning the diesel, thus better atomisation during injection

Oil didn't help start it this suggests and sounds like lots of compression
Looks like insufficient Diesel
Change fuel filter Open 17mm nut on injector, diesel should leave pipe at high speed if not rebuild injector pump or replace, if you have high pressure at injector pipe remove injector turn upside down and reconnect pipe rotating engine you should see 3 high pressure jets spraying from injector if it drips rebuild injector.. may help someone
Brother great information. We just changed the main ring. Now the engine is working amazing. We changed the oil too
When you throw oil in there it will help get some more compression. Since it will help seal the piston rings. So compression was actually really low.
When i handstart my old skool yanmar it really makes a punch when ya release the decompression lever.
The fire isn't, doesn't help. Cranking it enough to get the air out of the fuel lines and building up enough compression to create enough heat to ignite the diesel is what works. Is primitive as everything else is, that machine must seem like a gift from the future.

Instead of fire down the intake why not make a small fire under the engine itself and let the engine get hot before starting it. Seems easier

One problem there is that is a cast block so if it gets to hot it would melt
No. Cast iron melts between 2200-2500 degrees farenheit. Accomplishing temperatures that hot requires specially built casting furnaces. These furnaces are expensive to maintain because they literally destroy themselves while operating. A small woodfire in open air gets nowhere near that hot. The autoignition temperature of diesel is under 300 degrees. Easily attainable with a small pile of sticks

Tried and tested method of a bit of heat. Sump oil used i would guess because rings are worn out . Poor old thing needs a good service god knows how many years it has spent in the open faithfully pumping water
@pmailkeey some of these do indeed have a small chamber as a starting aid . In this instance i would guess that the ring is a decompresser to aid starting .In this instance from the sound I would guess the engine is very worn . A set of rings would certainly help . These engines should be much easier to start than this .

If any problem for starting, you can try this trick,you can spray premium or pertalite fuel(gasoline) into exhaust manifold.

Looked like they were using crude oil. They got plenty. And some crude is good enough for diesels.
“Used diesel” is gaseous in nature.

hello, i have some trick,.
- don't put oil to intake manifold, use diesel fuel only (10ml). you put to much oil there.
- put warm/ hot water on your cooler tank.
- check your injector, mybe some deposit there.

Among other things, if you delay maintenance and use black tarry gloop for sump oil, the engine is bound to get very tired indeed and difficult to get out of bed in the morning.

Starting ke liye used engine oil inlet manifold mea dalkar jalareha hay ,uske badale mea inlet manifold mea dhoda sa petrol dalo. Ekdam start hojayega. Aag nahi lagana hay.
