Any thoughts on 7.1 and/or in game 3d audio? Do you use both at the same time?
Razer, dolby, and dts:x all have 7.1 as an option. Do you know if the bass/treble is true for both 7.1 and 3d?
3d headphones seems to help with bass/treble distinction, but only if you play with normal stereo headphones. 7.1 might be better since you have 4x more speakers to help with positional sound. I haven't tried surround-sound headphones though.

hi billy, what is the difference between regular audio ingame and soundeffects ingame? Which one should be higher to hear footsteps better?
I'm not billy but sound effects audio is what u use to hear footsteps. It makes gunshots louder too so if u see ppl lower it a bit thats y.
No settings were shown in this video, i'm confused. I was wondering if sound quality on high makes you actually hear people more precisely or just makes the audio sound better in general.

Wow, I'd actually thought this whole time playing that crouching movement was entirely hidden in sound to enemy players... doh . Either way, always known that having surround sound headphones are huge in this game, same with wired connection, hotkey mouse/controller, and proper graphical settings.
I've ignored enemy footsteps because I didn't see visual audio. Everything makes sense to be now

I have turtle beach headphones yet I can’t hear any gunfire or music even. Just other players. Everything is set to 100%

Just a thought but since we are talking about sound it would have been beneficial to be able to hear the sounds. You talked over your examples of "bass" and "treble". I know what you mean but still. Im not trying to be rude although it may read that way.

You can see clearly in the video when the player crouches the visual indicator dissappears
