Final Gameplay of OP07 League! Top 8 Finish! RP Luffy is viable!

This was the last week that I got to play in for the OP07 league. It was a ton of fun tinkering with the deck through out the set and I'm hype for 100 subs before 08!!

Nice! how the deck rolls in the OP08 meta!? I think its an open meta and this deck would be in a good position

@@stamathsxontrogianhs5128 I definitely like it going into 08, Bonney is still my biggest threat, doflamingo after it gets access to its starter deck is going to be a menace to many

As a R/P luffy player myself, I find using the 10 cost Shanks that pops a 10k or less character is what you really need to help beat Bonney, it gets rid of all her top end and helps you establish a 12k hitter as well.

@@AkagamiTcg maybe I do still undervalue shanks and need to put more time into testing it. It had felt clunky when I did have it in the deck, but that was before I was facing Bonney.
Ains interactions with kid and Hawkins are also very strong, but the body is so understatted it’s criminal.

I agree. This is why I was nervous cause my roommate plays shanks and when I was paired vs you.... I was like oh shoot I took out rosinante blocker. And 8c kid to maybe stall it out. Because shanks destroys me

you think rp luffy would be competitive in op08?

@@Rikzz84 absolutely! I think RP Luffy can compete at the highest level and my current plans are to play him in all my 08 events.
I think at a locals level, if you’re at a shop that is VERY heavy on good Enels and/or Bonneys, it can be a bit tough to top your locals consistently
However, at the major tournament level, I think RP luffy will be an amazing choice where it does very well into decks like Lucci, Reiju, Gecko, BY Luffy and beats up basically every other off meta deck

@@Rikzz84 I want to toy with different quantities of Rayleigh, 9 Cost Linlin, and Kaido and Linlin in the threat package.
Black Maria and the 3 cost ramp event are valid inclusions as well
