May I ask a question: [butterfly sweep], what are your thoughts on falling onto your shoulder more forward into your partner(shoulders replacing the knee position) vs straight to the side)? Better? Worse? No difference? Thanks!
That's a good question, and I think it partly comes down to the intention of the type of sweep and what their energy is like on the opponent side. If they are more postured up or back vs leaning forward, I think will determine how sideways vs how forward you take your shoulder when going for the sweep as well.
