When Ben Shapiro Got HUMBLED About Jesus

  • William Lane Craig and Ben Shapiro talked about Jesus. They looked at what Jewish people thought the Messiah would be like, if Jesus really came back to life, and why Jesus was killed. Ben had to think about how Jesus is described in the Bible, which made him think about his own beliefs as a Jewish person.

I think you're a commendable kid, Jaiden. But I wonder if you will answer this question, and all commenters are welcome to as well:
I am assuming you are a Protestant brother in Christ. I am a Catholic. If I can't convince you to become Catholic, or vice versa, how can you (we) fault others for not becoming Christians? See John 17:21-24 "I (Jesus) pray that they may be ONE, as YOU (God) and I (Jesus) are ONE...that they may believe that you sent Me" Are all Christians ONE?

      @@jiherrera7418 Thank you brother!
Well, based off scripture I don't think we can fault others for not becoming Christians. Romans 9 declares that no one can be saved without God's mercy (specifically verse 9:16).
I believe all Christians are children of God, Christians meaning those with lasting faith in Jesus Christ alone to save them.

God has hardened the hearts of Jews for our sake, once the Gentile Dispensation is over and the Bride Saints(Not the Saved) are whisked away in the blink of an eye to the Wedding Supper, God will turn his focus back on Israel(Jacob) and deal with them as a Nation. He will send his two Prophets to preach in the streets in Jerusalem where they will be slain dead, and after 3 days of their bodies lying in the square, God will resurrect them and only then will Jews (of Jacob) be Converted and Understand that Jesus is Messiah.

What facts? There are words in a book and there is belief in those words but believing something does not automatically make it true. It has nothing to do with pride or an important truth. Without genuine evidence, it is everyone's right to choose to beleive or not. Shapiro and the majority of the world's population choose not to beleive.

    • @Mindhumble
      @Mindhumble 9 місяців тому +90

@@theoutspokenhumanist My approach is similar but more nuanced, of course stating dogmatically "truth" based on a book is meaningless in itself. However, we have to know what is the basis of the truth of the said book. How strong is the chain of custody, how much is explicit or clear in the book and what is interpretation. Based on our knowledge of the book would we reaosnably expect there to be independent corroboration, and if so where is it?
I find intuitively that a lot of these comments are made by people who have a desire to believe and come off as similar to cult members, totally unquestioning and dogmatic. However this isn't a reason in itself to reject what these people say.

@@MsElke11So the Son of God isn't also the savior? That is not the case. The Messiah is referred to as the savior. Idol worship can be physical or it can be immaterial. Anyone who is adulterous to God whether that be through direct or indirect worship of things that are not God are worshipping their idols. If they love that thing more than God's own nature exemplified through Jesus Christ, then they are adulterers to God on the account given by his Son. God has always been good and only good, the lying wonders performed on the Earth in the sight of men dissuaded men away from God. This was stated in the letters of Paul in reference to the Old Testament events of fire from the sky and other destructive "miracles". Everyone is under this same veil since Moses, and will continue to be until the truth in Christ is revealed to them and that veil over their hearts is lifted. From the agreement made with the serpent in the garden to the agreement made on mount Sinai, the authorship is the same and his work through serpents has been the same. Whether that serpent is of fire, bronze, or flesh.

Second, even if they did, that does not in any way correlate to the existence of God. They could’ve been mental health, tricked, lied, hallucinated, etc…
In fact, there is zero evidence whatsoever to support the existence of God. People use God to fill in the blanks that science could fill (with explanation) given enough time.

Good point, but it should also be pointed out that popular Jewish conception of the Messiah as a political or military leader who would conquer Israel’s enemies was not simply based on their own wishes or even on the fact that Israel was then under harsh Roman occupation, but on the writings of the Old Testament prophets. The religious scholars in Judaism were aware that the books of the prophets gave two very different descriptions of the coming Messiah-one of a suffering servant and one as a conquering king. Most Jewish people understood and naturally placed their hope in the descriptions of Messiah as a conquering king rather than those of the suffering servant. Messiah as a suffering servant. Later Jewish scholars resolved this tension in the role of the Messiah by positing that the prophets spoke of two messiahs-Messiah son of Joseph, who would be a suffering servant, and Messiah son of David, who would be a conquering king. By contrast, Christians from the beginning interpreted the prophets as speaking of one Messiah who would come twice-first as the suffering servant, and the second time as the conquering king, which is still future, but which can rightly be understood as similar to what the popular Jewish expectations of the Messiah would have been in the first century.

Also Jews do not believe theybare working their way to heaven they believe in Grace, Grace predates Christianity and is a part of Judaisim.
The struggle you see Ben going through is multifaceted, first though shalt have no other Gods before you, second Christianity has adopted many pagan ideologies not apart of the original church, the ham sandwich thought process in Christianity that Jews must become like us to be saved, and last family and community. Judaisim isn't just religion it is family, and community and actually a reverence for Hashem that most Christians don't have.
So ya, there is an inner turmoil but it isn't one most of us could even begin to grasp.
A great place to start would be, I am so sorry for what the church has taken from you, this wasn't yeshua, it was man.

His own disciples were skeptical at first...yet his actions convinced them. He preached peace....yet adherence to God. He predicted his suffering and his resurrection. And the witnesses not only claimed to have witnessed Him, but put their lives on the line to preach His gospel. Very convincing.

It was his words that found no place in them for he spoke with authority, and his doctrine & revelation made him to be accused of blasphemy, as he was God in the flesh. The hypocrite Pharisees called for his death & the Romans executed it.

Answering your question about the revolt (around 5:30) the craziest thing about Jesus is that besides claiming his divinity, his message and ministry was full of mercy, forgiveness, repentance, and changing your heart. No one would ever lead a revolt by saying “love your enemy”. This has always humbled me so much. God has done the most amazing things that no human could ever conceive.

If you actually believe in the Bible then you truly are just skipping the Old Testament and either way him being someone who let a revolt does not necessarily mean killing. And destroying evil is not a sin such as Jesus did when he got mad the one time in the Bible where he tossed aside the money being used for profit from sales in a holy place. That is a revolt and you are taking the words of today's bias and assuming that as a negative connotation. The only way to ever bring a new religion is to revolt against the old and imagine a picketing or a protest today that is peaceful and that is another definition of a Revolt but not violent. You dying for your troubles of trying to spread the good word is extremely risky and terrible in the perception of the Roman eyes of that day and time in that region. They wanted stability and he was unwilling to allow people using God's name as a way to make money and be corrupt. And he did try to spread the word many of times by preaching in front of crowds which was actually part of what they considered the revolt which he did first.

@@testingdafapp1159 First, God never appeared in form before Israel. John (1:18) makes it perfectly clear that "No man hath seen God at any time..." However, that same verse continues with "the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." Declared him may be phrased "has made him known." The writer of Hebrews (1:1-3) is stated in like manner, "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power..."
He did appear "in front of all jews" of his day and most did not accept him as the Old Testament God in the flesh, Peter declared him to be so as recorded by Matthew (16:16), and of course the others. Paul writing to Titus (2:11), reads, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men..." How was that grace revealed?
Back to where we started, John 1 (10-18)
"He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."
The prophets had spoken of his coming and when he came most of the folks, just like today, missed him. He reveals himself to those who look, honestly look.

Jesus is that free gift of grace received through faith in Messiah our Deliverer and confirmation of Father, God, our Triune Creator! (Eph 2:8, Gal 4:6) Christians live and walk, in earth, bearing witness to His Word and Spirit, in One which are One in the heavenly record of: 1. Father, 2. Son (Word/Immanuel) (Isa 7:14, 8:8, Jhn 1:14), and 3. Holy Spirit. (1Jhn 5:6-8) Through baptism: (our ritual washing) by the water (of repentance), blood of atonement (justification by faith) and Holy Spirit (of sanctification and renewal in regeneration), Christians are followers of Jesus: crucifying the evil lust of the flesh in "hatred, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, disputing, wrath, strife, resistance to the Law of Father God, heresies, envyings (ambitions to equal or excel others), murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like." (Gal 5:19-21) Through His Holy Spirit, we deny this flesh by keeping His Commands as we live and walk in the hope of our soon coming redemption and resurrection to life everlasting. This is our daily priestly offering, in worship and fear, reverence, through an offering of fire to God the Father and it is the first fruits: our living sacrifice of service. (Lev 3:3) This is our "worship in the beauty of holiness" in all:
      1. Love
      2. Joy
      3. Peace
      4. Longsuffering
      5. Gentleness
      6. Goodness
      7. Faith
      8. Meekness
      9. Temperance
      Towards God and fellow man!
"Against such fruit as this, there is no Law." (Gal 5:22-25) We have heard the Truth of God! "Wherefore the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto the Gospel, Messiah Jesus, through repentance, that we might be justified through faith in His precious shed blood. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster but the indwelling hope and patience of the Holy Spirit. As was our daddy, Abraham, Christians are circumcised through faith in the Word of God: Jesus Messiah, the fulfillment of Heavenly Father's everlasting covenant, to Israel, on Mount Moriah! (1Ch 16: 16-17 , Psa 105:8-10) "For we (Christians) are all the children of God by faith in Messiah Jesus." (Gal 3: 26) "For the fruit of the Spirit, is in all goodness righteousness and truth." (Eph 5:9) "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross (this sinful flesh), and follow me" by Crucifying the works of this flesh: keeping the Commandments of God is our living sacrifice that is holy, acceptable, and reasonable service (worship), in Spirit and Truth to a loving and faithful Creator/Savior, in whom we all were created for His pleasure! (Jhn 4:23-24, Rom 12:1, Rev 4:11) Again, For a testimony and witness, as One here in earth, Christians have received by grace and through faith (Eph 2:8) from the sacrificial death of His Testator, Jesus, two witnesses of Father's fulfillment of that covenant to daddy Abraham. (Gen 15, Heb 9:16-17, 11:8-10, For as it is written, "Mercy (Spirit) and Truth (Law) are met together; righteousness (Law) and peace (Spirit) have kissed each other" (Psa 85:10)within our souls, to conceive a new and born again creature: circumcised of that fleshy foreskin of an evil heart! (Deu 10:16, 30:6, Jer 4:4,17:9, Jhn 3:3) Let your light shine brothers and sisters in Christ! (Mat 5:16) To the Law and to the Testimony (Spirit/Prophets), if they speak not according to this WORD (COVENANT, JESUS), it is because there is no light in them." (Isa 8:20, Jhn 8:12, Rom 3:21) Dear readers, do you have a form of godliness but are walking in this flesh and denying the power thereof? (2 Ti 3:5) Do you want the faith of a mustard seed that removes mountains? (Mat 17:20) "The mystery (power) of faith is held in a pure conscience" (1Ti 3:9): a heart that can approach the Holy of Holies (Throne of God) without shame having been found free of evil (wilfull sin against Father God and fellow man), by the Holy Spirit (2 Ch 29:31). Now dear brothers and sisters, Disciples of Messiah Jesus filled with the joy and patience of the Holy Spirit, let's do what Father has ordained of us and speak truth with our new cloven tongues of fire (Law and Testimony)! (Acts 2:3) "Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples." (Isa 8:16) This is the oil Jesus spoke of in the "Parable of the Ten Virgins." (Mat 25:1-13) Study to show thyself approved, Pray without ceasing (2 Ti 2:15, 1Sa 12:23, 1Th 5:17) and present this everlasting Gospel of the Kingdom to those Father is calling and placing into our realm of influence: those with ears ready to hear this Gospel message of faith (hearing/ believing is accounted unto them for righteousness), conversion by Father God and new birth in the Holy Spirit! Our Creator, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, stepped down from Divinity to show His great love towards His Creation. Yahweh took upon Himself the form of a servant, the likeness of men, in Jesus Messiah of Nazareth, that through His righteous shed blood in death, burial and resurrection, He crucified our sins, the works of the flesh and in so doing defeated, once and for all, death and the grave! (Jhn 15:13) We did not choose to be born into this earth and its circumstance only to continue this pagan cycle of procreation towards our children destined to go round and round that growing mountain of unforgiven sin, in this wilderness of life wewithout true Manna from heaven, Jesus Messiah. We are given choice! Choose life through faith in His grace (Loving, blood sacrifice) and follow Jesus in the first resurrection to life instead of death in the second resurrection! "The mystery of faith (power of faith) s held in a pure conscience" (1 Ti 3:9), a heart and conscience found free, by the Holy Spirit, of wilfull sin against Father God and fellow man. Rededicate your temple! Repent in the name of Jesus for the pardon of sin so that you may worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth! Choose life everlasting in this Gospel of the Kingdom! Call upon Jesus Messiah of Nazareth: the One true living God. (Jhn 3:16-19) Amen

For Jewish people, anyone who claims to be God is in direct violation of the 10 Commandments. There is no room for for argument on that. This is why Ben Shapiro had no interest in beating a dead horse on a point that is completely nonnegotiable to Jews. Throughout history, thousands of Jews have chosen death rather than idolatry when forced to convert by oppressors and Nazis.
Anyone can claim to be God. Jews remained steadfast that all humans are equally the children of God, regardless of their faith. When the messianic redemption happens, it will be completely obvious to 100% of humanity- not just a handful of people who claim that somebody’s tomb is empty. There will be no confusion or debate. Chemotherapy treatment is usually given in cycles, which are periods of treatment followed by rest periods. The length of a cycle depends on the drugs used and the treatment plan, and can range from a few hours to a few days, or even weeks. For example, a cycle might involve treatment on the first, second, and third days of a week, followed by no treatment for the rest of the week. The rest period allows the body to recover and rebuild healthy cells.
      Cancer Research UK
Your chemotherapy plan | Cancer Research UK
During a course of chemotherapy, you usually have around 4 to 8 cycles of treatment. After each round of treatment you have a break. This allows your body to recover. For example, if your cycle lasts 4 weeks, you may have treatment on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd days. You then have nothing from the 4th to the 28th day. Then the cycle starts again. Or you may have a 3 week cycle where you have treatment on the 1st and 8th days. You then have nothing on days 2 to 7 and days 9 to 21. Your treatment cycles might be weekly or take 2, 3, or 4 weeks or more, depending on the drugs and your treatment plan.

Oct 27, 2021 - Chemo cycles are most often 2 or 3 weeks long. The schedule varies depending on the drugs used. For example, with some drugs, chemo is given only on the first day of the cycle. With others, it is given one day a week for a few weeks or every other week.

Starting chemotherapy? 6 questions to ask | MD Anderson Cancer Center
Nov 8, 2017 - It describes how the medications work, as well as side effects and ways to manage them. It's also important to ask how long you'll be receiving chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is often given in “cycles.” This means the treatment is repeated on a regular schedule with days or weeks of rest in between. For instance, you may receive a dose of chemotherapy on days 1, 5 and 9 every 21 days (3 weeks) for a total of 6 cycles. This means your treatment would last approximately 18 weeks (multiply 6 cycles by 3 weeks). Knowing this information will help you plan ahead. What side effects may I experience?

@@wekidemon8085 @popshighlightcollection1388 @bdude93 Hi, I don’t recognize any of the “handles” so I’m just going to go with the idea that I don’t have a clue who any of you are. That said, I am a certified chemotherapy RN, retired, although it has been several years since my retirement. And not knowing this case, I don’t know WHEN it took place VS. current standard of care. But I have watched/participated in countless instances of people who needing bone marrow transplants, precursor to the stem sell cell treatments, but initially the “prep” was the same. Not all survived the prep, and not all survived the procedure. Now he may have used terms you don’t know. Maybe you think a cycle = round. Not true. 1 round, 1 infusion.
In the examples you posted, the chemo is the endpoint of successful treatment. Not so with bone marrow/ stem cell replacement therapy. At least when I was working, the chemotherapy was used to completely eliminate the body’s own immune system AND bone marrow. This paved the way for (it was believed at the time) a more successful treatment. But some patients could take more chemo than most thought humanly possible. Where I worked depending upon agents used, 24 infusions were usually the max. That is 24rounds/days of chemotherapy, and if your body proved to be particularly resistant a radiation treatment or two might be added, to target the bone marrow. Some of these patients did not survive the “prep”. Others did not survive the subsequent treatment. To say it is “hard on the body” is a flat out understatement. So who are you to question what someone did or did not go through?? And if you live outside the USA, we have this thing called “right to try”. If you are a Doctor and you have a terminally ill patient and you think XYZ treatment might work, write up your plan, send it (I forget where) but you don’t need to wait for an answer. As long as you and the patient are in agreement with the plan, go ahead and try it! So, get off your high horse. You just might find yourself having a similar experience, but I sincerely pray that you don’t. I have never even wished this experience on my worst enemy. Truly horrific.

Jesus is not the Father and he was never a man that became the father . He was with the Father from the beginning he is God and always remained God and as God he also became man. This is also why he is called son of man. Because God was made flesh.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Here are some facts that should have been mentioned. The Sanhedrin plotted against Yeshua because too many people believed in him and he was 'disrupting' their political status in Roman occupied Israel. You will see the conspiracy noted in each of the Gospels. Well yes they expected a political power, they relied more on their writings (Talmud/Midrash and other writings of the sages), than the actually Tanuk (Torah, writings and histories). They missed all the signs, the restoration of sight (the blind see), healing of illness/infirmities (the lame walk), and later on the resurrection of many to include himself. Hitherto, no one has ever raised themself. John the Baptist asked the right questions, the Sanhedrin did not like the answers. It is why even today (as like then), Isaiah 7, 9, 11, 53, Zechariah 9 and so many others are ignored. It is their stumbling block, but do not worry, keep praying for Ben and many others, The Most High always has a remnant.

Love all people and do good to those that don't do you right. Not for your glory but for our Father in Heavens Glory. We are being watched by such a cloud of witnesses. What will be your last deed here on earth? Will the Father be pleased? And if we should receive a reward will you lay it at Jesus feet. The true Champion, who has won the battle over death, hell, and the grave. Only Jesus!

Brilliantly said. So often, people cut up the argument to take things out of context and make the opponent look foolish or like he is saying something he is not. Here the presentation allows everyone to state his piece and the argument to stand on its own merit, or lack thereof. It is not necessary to sabotage one who's argument is flawed; he will bring himself down by his own hand. The Truth always prevails.

A teachers job isn't to teach what is nonsense and what isn't. It is about giving the tools for people to make it up for themselves.
Some times those tool are more of subjective than objective, but that is only makes sense given the subject matter.
This is why it is essential that schools should be as neutral and impartial as as possible - something that obviously isn't possible in all countries. Even secular countries like the US struggles with this. A child isn't born religious, that is something it evolves cognitively, over many iterations and a social construct of sort. I'm what some people describe as a atheist or even an militant atheist - and I've taught religion to pupils aged 10. Me being an atheist wasn't a relevant parameter for getting the job.
Any way... It is safe to say that I'm no fan of Ben Shapiro :)
A relevant quote that you might like:
“Let children learn about different faiths, let them notice their incompatibility, and let them draw their own conclusions about the consequences of that incompatibility. As for whether they are ‘valid,’ let them make up their own minds when they are old enough to do so.”

So it is with these young people that in what feels like an upcoming perverse and faithless generation, God will pour his spirit upon all flesh and the young people will arise and bring glory to his kingdom 🔥

Spiritual warfare is in full force. Jesus is putting a fire in the people he knows will and have devoted theirselves to him. A little over a month ago I finally stopped running from Jesus after knowing of him my whole life. It was the best decision of my life and I’m ashamed it took me this long to stop rebelling against my heart, soul, and spirits true desire, and thats to give all the praise and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thats why we will always feel like something is mussing or we don’t have enough without God. I finally know what true love is and can now give it to others with Jesus Christ and they can experience that same love from Jesus if they just submit and genuinely calling out to Jesus Christ and meaning it from their mind, heart, and spirit! Thats all it takes for them to start their walk. But usually people dismiss and stay sarcastic and never really try.

Nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus even hint at that being a goal.
In a few places he even makes it clear his goal is to establish a Kingdom in the next world.
That is why Pilate could find no criminal charges to bring against him.

Then you missed a bunch of instructions from the prophets if you don't think the Messiah would be a politician. And yes, Jesus knew, and yes, he made declarations of war, if you know your prophecy they are easy to spot. He will ride into the city on a white colt ( which the disciples stole for him) that he would carry fronds (a symbol of royalty) . Jesus didn't get all 300 plus of the descriptors of the Messiah but yes, he was politically active. And war like. "Do not think that I come to bring peace to the world. I come as a sword to separate the father's from the sons" . That was Jesus.

Don't be surprised people. This is who the jews are.
      They reject Jesus outright.
      They had Jesus killed.
"Jewish authorities in Roman Judea charged Jesus with blasphemy and sought his execution, but lacked the authority to have Jesus put to death (John 18:31), so they brought Jesus to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of the province, who authorized Jesus' execution (John 19:16)."
Pontius Pilate actually did not want jesus killed. He tried to get around it, but the jews gave him an ultimatum as they were already in the provess of an insurrection, insurgents tearing up the place, so he either execute Jesus or they will start a holy war with the romans.
      4
Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews, "Look, I am bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him."
      "6
As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, "Crucify! Crucify!" But Pilate answered, "You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him."
      7
The Jews insisted, "We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God."
      8
When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid."
      "12
From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jews kept shouting, "If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar."
When Pilate saw that a riot might break out, he washed his hands in front of the crowd, and said, “I am not responsible for the death of this man!”
The whole jewish crowd answered, “Let the responsibility for his death fall on us and on our children!”
Then Pilate set Barabbas free and reluctantly handed Jesus over to be crucified."

Lazarus was not resurrected. Jesus Christ was the “first fruit” of the resurrection because He was to die then take his body up again. He was raised, not resurrected. Lazarus would continue to age and eventually die. After his death Lazarus would receive his resurrection when The Savior calls His saints out of their tombs.

"intellectual discussion" is that what you call using source material to prove the legitimacy of the same but other source material 🤣🤣(why is there two different stories about how jesus's body was found? just Google that for one) ...Well you know what.. I believe Aragorn was the true king of Gondor Because earlier in the books they made references and then later in the book those references came true!!🤯...Christ it's like you people have never read a book before.. and of course the end is going to claim the same things the beginning did... Or in this case a completely separate book claiming to be the "second testament" They were trying to convert believers of the first testament over to Jesus and the second testament..of course you're going to try and correlate things.... You would never accept the same logic from the Quran or the Book of Mormon 🤔🤣🤣

Even apart from the supernatural aspect, the practical day to day tenets have proven extremely beneficial to the greatest civilizations in the world. Jesus was NOT God! Jesus as conflated by modern theologians represents at least five different people who were converged into one at the Council of Nicene, where many books were removed. One of these books tell of one of these ‘Jesuses’ visited Hell.

It was rather embarrassing to watch him try to make commentary about a conversation he clearly isn't quite able to follow. It's not that he isn't capable. He just needs to develop a fundamental grasp on the basics of philosophical argument.

@@charlotte50224I see your point. I think what Mr. Shapiro was trying to say was there is no point in going back and forth with the historical evidence that supports Jesus’s claims as they will both have some and neither one is going to change their mind here.
