    Thanks for this review. I'm picking up my LiNX Quattro hearing aids today. My first hearing aids ever.

    I just got my new RESound LiNX Quattro yesterday. My Dad is blind and also deaf and he got hearing aides yesterday but not the Quattro. Just a note, I have been hearing impaired my entire life and never had any hearing aides at all, neither has my dad. We live together and alone. This device for ME is amazing. I can now hear things I never heard before in my life. I wished my Dads was a Quattro as well, but since he is completely blind, he can't use the app for the phones. I only have a complaint about the wire. I wear corrective eyeglasses because I am also losing my sight, the wire is so tiny and thin, when I remove my eyeglasses, my aid comes out and twice I was unable to tell it was out. Otherwise, the app is mega cool because I can adjust bass and high pitch noises. At first, when my cell phone would ring, I was completely freaked out because I am not used to hearing it in my ear. LOL. The streaming of videos is meh, ok, as sometimes I do get scratchy noises alongside the noise of the video and right now, I am unsure how to remedy that.

    I'm about 30 days into use with Quattro Level 9s and can reliably comment on some concerns and questions. My stats: 45yrs old. Cookie bite loss identified 15 years ago. Progressed to moderate to marked. Used Oticon Epoq XW for most of that time because they introduced streaming and iPhone integration which was new, revolutionary and the only option at this point in time (was and remains mind blowing). Auditioned Widex for 3 weeks and found them to be excellent. Moved to Quattro because of team Android and having a Pixel phone AND needing a stethoscope solution because I'm a DVM and we use a stethoscope clinically roughly 30 to 40 times a day. While I am working on the stethoscope solution and it remains unsolved until native Android streaming goes live, let me offer several points (medium drivers).
    These units have no squeal. None. I'm placing Grado sr80s with G cushions over them on ear to use with a digital stethoscope and music. Not only is this comfortable, stable and pain free, there are no traces of feedback, echo or squeal.
    There is no appreciable latency of any kind. They have been set up with real ear measurements and we have remote adjustment set up for future changes away from office. The app is great and doesn't crash at all on my pixel. It connects reliably with the hearing devices and only occasionally do I need to reinitiate the handshake with an app close out and restart or power cycle action on the devices which becomes intuitive and is a feature of all bluetooth/near field radio tech and no negative reflection on the Quattros.
    Impact reduction is great. Those clicks and pops and wood block distortions from moving through the house on hardwood are gone as is the distortion of fingers along steel guitar strings during chord changes. Dogs dancing on an exam table produced nail clicks that were not tolerable. This is amazing technology. I have used them in an open Jeep regularly and do use the wind reduction feature. It's also very well implemented. I am currently working with more open domes for home use and the more closed tulip domes in clinics to reduce barking dog noises and enhance bass frequency isolation. Streaming EQ quality has improved dramatically but still has a smaller sounding effect albeit less tinny and thankfully the hisses and crackles are absent. Spoken word from podcasts are clear and there is no hissing or crackling radio distortions from an iPad during a web conference which astounded me.
    We have created 4 programs: Standard and music with open domes and standard and music with tulip domes. I am pushing these to their limits and exploring their features in a dynamic and super active lifestyle. I find them to be nothing short of mind blowing. We have made adjustments using real ear measures from our second fitting session onward which did help speech clarity improve even more because of a needed bump in power at a specific frequency unique to a standing wave cancellation in my canals with open dome ear pieces. I can endorse the need to stall judgement until you have worked with a dedicated audiologist several sessions with any device to get them tuned in to your anatomy, prescription and unique neurologic sensitivities and likes and dislikes.
    Also, I am wearing glasses with thicker acetate frames and everything fits. I don't find them bulky and forget they are on coming from older Oticons. We did experiment with the MultiMic as an interim solution for streaming to approximate what the native Android streaming might sound like. It works very well. I have some very soft spoken friends who I could converse much more easily with by giving them the MultiMic. It is small and easily used. Both friends thought it was charming and fun to ham it up and be the crazy voice of reason in my head. It's not awkward to use in other words and good friends will gladly oblige you in exchange for not having to constantly repeat themselves.
    Feel free to ask questions and good luck. I look forward to experiencing the Android features once they go live.

I have worn aids for 16yrs and am looking to replace my resound Verso customs as they are going on 7 years old and I have had a few issues with them- being out of warranty- I think the Quattros will be my next aids. Awesome and comprehensive overview. I've fit 3 sets of these, all on previous hearing aid users, and all of them have remarked immediately on the improvement of sound quality with the Quattro. One patient was previously wearing Linx 3Ds even, so I am very excited to continue getting to know Quattro even better. Resound truly does have the best app for those patients who want to be able to actually manipulate their hearing aids.
    Another great video, thank you!

    Just fitted with these hearing aids (one week ago)- interface with iPhone good - interface with iWatch could be better - I wear glasses and as a new user after 10 to 12 hours in an active day starts to be painful around the front of the ear. - may be too big / thick. I also have small ear canals that go at different angles and insertion is a little bothersome. Lastly why would anyone make a square receiver for an ear canal - not sure if the receiver is hitting the side of my ear. Probably too early to rate these but your review is spot on!!

    I've had my ReSound LiNX Quattros for about six months now.
    I love these aids. Doctor Cliff's review is accurate in my experience. My Quattros are a huge improvement over the Aleras and a big improvement over the LiNX 2 I had before. The Quattros were programmed perfectly for me using REM the first time. No recall visits needed. The rechargeable batteries are working much better than I expected. The ReSound app has been fussy to get working reliably on the iPhone with the last two updates; I think that may be *Apple's* fault, not ReSound's, though it's hard to be sure. But once I get an update set up to work well, the app is great. The TV Streamer 2's are great. Having an audiologist you trust and who is highly skilled is key.

      @@Anselization1 As you know I have the rechargeable version. (I believe Quattros are available as either rechargeable-only, or button-battery-only). With rechargeable, I easily make it through 16-hours-of-use per day, still having at least 40-60% battery strength even with several hours of streaming, and recharge each night. That takes about two hours. Maybe more important is when the lithium ion rechargeable batteries would have to be replaced. My audiologist says (and this is typical for L-Ion in any device): expect to need to replace them at about year four. (At that point, I'd expect the batteries to be running low or dead after 16 hours or even sooner and needing longer to recharge.) The batteries are guaranteed to hold a charge for the first three years. Replacement rechargeable batteries are expected to cost

      @@Anselization1 I think you mean do I notice Bluetooth buffering, slowdown or lag, because the Quattros use Bluetooth rather than a wifi connection like one might use to connect an iPhone to the Internet with a wifi router. The answer is that I do not notice any Bluetooth lag to the Quattros from an iPhone. I hear the sound at the same time I would hear it listening to the phone speaker with the aids, rather than a Bluetooth connection to the aids.

    Following a "diagnosis" of having a serious hearing loss, I've now been wearing a pair of these hearing aids (paired with an iPhone) for about 3 months and here are a few of my initial take-aways. Keep in mind that I read and watched a number of reviews on this and other devices before making my decision to spend big bucks on these HAs. My first take-away; the audiologists will tell you that it takes time to adjust to the devices (no instant results, give it time) but unfortunately the time it takes to adjust is much longer than the trial period stipulated in the contract, in my case 30 days. That's a big leap of faith, money-wise. Second, I am not getting the desired results in settings like restaurants and conferences and I still have trouble carrying on conversations with people in my immediate vicinity. I have adjusted the app and I've have the devices adjusted but I'm still not hearing conversations as well as I would like and I'm still having to ask people to repeat themselves. Third, I can hear a lot of unimportant things better though; the crumple of paper, the flick of a light switch, the back up beeper in my car, birds chirping (nice, but not important), etc. But I didn't pay the big bucks for hearing these things better. Finally, people like my spouse who know I've now got hearing aids think they can be in another room and still talk in a normal voice and I will hear them just fine. Its difficult to have her understand that just because I now have HAs, she still needs to make some accommodations to still be heard. Very frustrating! I'll keep tinkering with these things but so far I've been disappointed.

    I have a question i had the Lynx 2 for 4 years loved them and had no problems and ordered new ones but this time Lynx Quatro 5 i had nothing but problems. my hearing specialist spent weeks tweaking and no luck. Everything was very tintey a lot of feedback issues. I tried a couple other devices including Phonak Marvel 70 and Signia Pure 3NX. Issues with them. Right now i have a choice of upgrade Quatro 7 or Widex Moment 330 R and Phonak Marvel 70R. I loved my first resound so any any input where we are going wrong with them would be appreciated. My Hearing aid provider says she believes i am very sensitive to high pitches.

    I purchased Resound GN hearing aids at Costco when connectivity with Android was added as a feature. I picked them up in March, just before everything shut down due to Covid-19. The Bluetooth connectivity with my android phone has been excellent while talking on the phone, while listening to music and watching movies. But the sound does not come through my hearing aids when I am in a Zoom meeting. I check the Resound phone app and it shows my hearing aids are connected to my phone. Is there something about Zoom that causes this problem? Is it fixable? Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you.

    First let me thank you for your video's, I am 65 years old with mild - moderate hearing loss. I specifically have trouble with conversations in noisy environment. I have narrowed my choices to the OPN 2 S and the Quattro 9. I am an Android user and even though the streaming is not yet available that is definitely a plus. Hi, Cliff, if I have sound processor (Nucleus 6) of Cochlear implant in my one ear and Bolero V70-P in my second it's definitely better to buy Resound aid or stay still in Phonak aids (I have Roger Select also)? My question is because Cochlear and ReSound advertise their bimodal solution, but I found no more benefits than binaural streaming or adjustments by smartphone app (not important for me) and I din't find any solutions like cooperations between sound processor and ReSound such as between Phonak aids (or aid and CROS II) in StereoZoom.

    I've had my Linx Quattro 9 hearing aid for one week now and I can confirm that it does sound more natural than either the Phonak or the Siemens, and the impulse noise reduction really works, unlike the Phonak or Siemens. However, the rechargable version of the Quattro has no volume button on the hearing aid. You MUST use either the mobile phone app or the additional cost "optional" remote control to adjust volume or programs. I am using the Smart 3D app, however it disconnects from the hearing aids every time the phone goes into sleep mode (i.e. when the display tuns off) so by the time you launch the app, wait for it to reconnect to the hearing aids, and adjust the volume, 15 seconds or more has elapsed. That's 15 seconds lag time to adjust the volume of the hearing aid! Does the remote control suffer from the same "disconnect" problem? Adjusting the volume of hearing aids should not be considered "optional".... that would be like selling a $4000 home theatre system that didn't have a volume control, and offering an "optional" remote control for another $250 to make it function. If there is no USABLE way to adjust volume you should not endorse these hearing aids.

      That’s odd, no actually that’s just not true, at least with my I Quattro 9’s (RE961-DRWC). It uses the button on the right aid to increase the volume in both aids (short press), change the program in both aids (longer press), and to turn-off the power (longer press - turns-off the right aid only). The left aid’s button turns down the volume on both aids and powers down the left aid.
      NO APP NEEDED WHATSOEVER.
      All of this is explained clearly in the User’s Manual, which you must not have read carefully before posting an entirely misleading public comment. The problems do not lie with any deficiencies with the RE961-DRWCs, but rather with you, and your hastily posted comment. READ THE MANUAL!!

    Great analysis, thanks a lot. However, and since I have two cost estimations of two different hearing aids, from which I must choose one, I would like to ask for your expert opinion about the model in this review and the Oticon OPN 2. Which of these two provides a better performance (independently of the streaming capability only with iPhone or with iPhone and Android).
    I thought that the chip Velox made the Oticon OPN 2 one of the best (if not the best) options for a high speech quality even in noisy environments. What about the chip of the LiNX Quattro? Is it as fast and good at processing the audio signals as the Velox?
    The last question, does it have telecoil? Thank you for any help you could provide Doctor Cliff.

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  5 років тому

      Both are good hearing aids. The OPN 2 is a second tier device and if speech understanding in background noise is important, you should consider the OPN 1. Also, the OPN is getting an upgrade in a few weeks to the OPN S. Not sure if it will have a telecoil yet, but the recharegeable Quattro does not.
      Also, your performance in background noise will depend on your Speech in Noise score. That being said, the biggest factors for success with any hearing aid is Real Ear Measurement, so spend your time on finding a hearing care provider who does them.

    Hello,
    One concern that I have had about the rechargeable hearing aids is the decrease of life battery after a few years of use. Is that something that has been tested/reviewed? Also how big is the difference from the 7 to the 9 LiNX aside few extra fitures it has ?

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  5 років тому

      The lithium hearing aid batteries are rated for 6 years. However, they can be replaced at no charge if the devices are still under warranty. There are not differences in the 7 vs 9 aside from the feature differences. If you don't want to leave any benefit on the table, go with the 9s. Can anyone describe how the R61 works when using the Apple Watch Series 4? For example, if I'm on a call and I walk out of range, my phone call switches to my watch. Can I use the watch microphone when I walk away from the phone (assuming the call is transferred to the watch)? What happens if I answer the call on my watch? (AirPods work great in this scenario). Opinions on the best alternative for a remote microphone? I tend to walk around during conference calls and I'm on the phone most of the day. I'm trying to make sure I will be happy, before investing. If I'm going to just go back to the AirPods, I don't need high end HA's. Also curious, if I switch to the BT in my car, does the car microphone take over? Thanks.

    I purchased the quattro - 9 earing aids on line. Can you program them via the internet if I supply you with the results of a hearing test that I will do locally?
    Steve Freed

    • @sounderdavis5446
      @sounderdavis5446 4 роки тому

      The Quattros are set up to allow remote adjustment, but besides a recent comprehensive hearing test for which you will have to pay locally (free ones won't come with a copy of the results), you need a professional relationship with an audiologist who will program the aids. Many audiologists only perform programming services for customers to whom the audiologist sold the aids. Some audiologists authorized by ReSound may be willing to take you on even though you don't live nearby, but you will have to find one on your own. and expect to pay a programming fee. And they may not be willing or able to do remote programming service; you'll have to ask. You may have to mail the aids to them instead. Websearch for one. Try eBay. Make some calls.

    • @sounderdavis5446
      @sounderdavis5446 4 роки тому

      You should also note that audiologists can't do REM (Real Ear Measurement) remotely. That has to be done in person with you wearing the aids. When done properly, REM can make a huge improvement in aid performance. It's worth going to extra trouble and expense to get.

    I tested the resound LinX 3D 9 and now I switched to the Quattro 7 and the truth is that the difference in the noise is huge and the sounds feel more natural now. Do you think there is a lot of difference between Quattro 7 and 9? Because the truth is that I feel very good with the 7 and I do not know if it is necessary to invest more money.

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  6 років тому

      The Quattro 9 has more developed features and customization ability. If you are happy with the 7s that is great. However, when you consider how many years you keep hearing aids, an increase of $300-$500 per aid broken down over a number of years typically justifies ensuring you have the best ability to hear in every setting. If the cost is an additional $1,000 per aid, then it may not be worth it.

Both Resounds claims to have Tinnitus Sound Generator. Is this A. Just a marketing ploy B. A useful feature for Tinnitus C. Unique to Resound. Guess i'm asking if any make is particularly helpful for Tinnitus.

    Help! I have been wearing Resound Quattro for over 6 months and they work SOMETIMES. But the right hearing aid cuts out the high sounds intermittently, and both seem to lose volume at times, then it comes back on. Very unstable. (I also stream with iPhone and that works pretty well 70% of the time.) This problem occurred early on and both hearing aids were sent back to Resound and replaced. The audiologist confirmed that they were not working. Now I'm having the same problem with the replacement HAs. Is there a firmware update I'm missing? Are there known defects in this model? Unfortunately, my audiologist does't seem to know much about Resound.

Every month, something needed fixed, some months more than one issue. But hey, they are great when they do work. Dr. Cliff thank you so much for the great information. You are simply amazing as always! I learned a lot from you. I have moderate bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. I am about to buy new hearing aids. I am in between Oticon Opn1 or ReSound Quattro. I find Oticon is really good for speech clarity. However I didn't really like the sounds in general. I don't feel it is natural. I also tried ReSound Linx2. I like the sound quality very much. So natural. However I feel speech clarity is not good as much. For Quattro, I have to wait a bit because they will come to the market later in my country. Would you suggest me to wait for Quattro, or should I get Oticon opn? Do you think I can have better speech clarity with Quattro more than Linx2? Thank you so much!

      I've had the ReSound Linx2 since Jan 2017 and now have to get some new ones due to loss. I don't know the Oticon, but would not suggest the Linx2 today anymore, because these are models from 2015. I was not very happy with the mobile streaming quality of mine, so I certainly would update to Linx3D or even Quattro. Also the old iPhone app had some issues, and Linx2 does not support the newer Smart 3D app!

    Great review! I sprung for the rechargeable Quattro 9 61's and am awaiting delivery to my audiologist. Any idea on how long the Li-ion batteries might last from a ReSound rep or whatever? My audiologist said that the Li-ion batteries were factory-replaceable, predicted the pricing would be in line with the current refurbishment cost of $279 per ear, and reminded me that part of the replacement cost would have been spent on buying disposable batteries over 4 or 5 years if I'd opted for the 62's instead. Be great if that's all so.

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  6 років тому

      The 961s should get you about 30 hours of battery life. Lithium batteries are typically rated for 6 years, but will have a decline in longevity year over year. Those level of devices typically come with a 3 year warranty from the manufacturer and should be sent in for battery exchange before the warranty expires to prevent refurbishment costs as much as possible.

      I spend a lot of my day on conference calls, sometimes 6-8 hours of streaming audio. After 2 weeks with the R61's, I have not run out of battery life and have gone 2 days before recharging once when I didn't stream as much. Also took a trip for 4 days and did not even plug in the case. The case kept the HA's recharged
      although I did not stream much while traveling. On the down side, I've found the BT connectivity range is limited. With any wall between me and the phone, the audio has dropouts and a little static. You will have to carry your phone, even if you don't need to speak. I'm guessing that is due to the low frequency BT. AirPods have a much further range, I can leave the room , for example to get coffee, and no dropouts.

    Thanks for the great videos! I play classical piano, and one concern I have is to choose hearing aids that provide optimal sound quality while playing. It seems like the Resound LiNX Quattro would be a good choice from that point of view. Streaming of music from Android devices is also potentially important for me, either via a multi mic, or even better, direct - when that becomes possible.
    So does the Quattro seem a good choice, or do you have any alternative suggestions? The new Phonak Audeo M sounds great for the Android streaming, but not sure about sound quality for music, as compared to the Quattro...

    • @DrCliffAuD

      From a live music situation they both tend to do well. From a streaming perspective, unless you have fully occluding earmolds, they both suck when it comes to music quality. Not their fault, just don't close off the ear canal enough.

      As an owner of three models of aids and both generations of ReSound Unite TV Streamers, I can tell you for sure that only TV Streamer 2 works with the Quattros, unfortunately. The original ReSound Unite TV Streamer worked with certain older models of ReSound aids. TV Streamer 2 is well worth getting for the Quattros. I bought three on eBay, where they can be found relatively cheaply, to use with two TVs and a computer in my home. (Quattros can be programmed by you to work with a maximum of three Unite TV Streamer 2's when using the iPhone or Android ReSound app to control them.) If you shop on eBay, be careful that you're *really* getting a TV Streamer TWO. I've seen listings for TWOs using the photo for the slightly different ONE. You can see what both should look like online; there is a slight difference in the appearance..

      @@@diegoalexandre-garcia7561 I searched online through ReSound webpages for about 15 minutes and couldn't find a definitive answer for you. I do know that ReSound's original TV Streamer works with the original LiNX [1] and the LiNX2 aids. ReSound Quattro aids definitely need ReSound's TV Streamer 2. (I tried my legacy original TV Streamer with the Quattros before buying TV Streamer 2, and it won't work.) I do not know and could not find 1. Which ReSound TV Streamer is used by the LiNX 3D aids, or 2. If TV Streamer 2 is backwards-compatible with TV Streamer 1, so that it would work with LiNX [1] aids. I don't *think* it will, but I couldn't confirm it from ReSound. Sorry. You can try emailing ReSound that question, but they seem to be providing minimal support for their legacy gear, preferring you to buy new gear, go figure. Good luck.

    • @sounderdavis5446
      @sounderdavis5446 4 роки тому

      I'll also tell you that if you already have the original LiNX hearing aids (or LiNX 2 aids) and are happy with them and just want to add a ReSound TV Streamer, the original ReSound Unite TV Streamer is all you need. There would be no benefit to paying 4X as much for TV Streamer 2, which I doubt would work with the original LinX aids anyway; the newer model was designed to work with newer aids.

    • @sounderdavis5446
      @sounderdavis5446 4 роки тому +1

      You will also need a ReSound Unite Remote Control **or** an iPhone with the original ReSound Smart app (not the ReSound 3D app) to control the original TV Streamer with the original LiNX aids. I don't know if there is an app that can do it with an Android phone; I haven't tried. Don't assume it can be done with legacy gear like this; ReSound worked with iPhone for a while without working for Android.

But as a streaming ear device Music they are no comparison to my Air Pods from Apple. Thanks for any suggestions, your review and advice have been very helpful as I move toward my first hearing aid.

      The Quattro app lets you be more techy than the OPN app. However, check out IFTTT.com . The OPN app gives you access to the "internet of things" and it is pretty cool. The Signia NX is a good hearing aid, and you may want to consider it if the provider fits a lot of them. That usually means they know how to utilize every feature to its maximum.

      Perhaps try the ReSound Linx 3D, model 961 as it meets all of the needs you mention. Many pilots love the 3D line.

The list of features i have seen shows them to be almost identical. i would appreciate you (and others) opinion of the value of upgrading--primarily with regard to sound quatlity.

      If you are still in a Linx Squared, you should definitely notice a difference with the Quattros. Ultimate sound quality will depend on how well they are programmed.

    Dr. Cliff,
    I am currently shopping for a hearing aid provider and come across one that sell AQX brand hearing aids. I have never heard of AQX before. Can you give me a heads up on this company.

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  6 років тому +3

      Hi Clark. I've been meaning to make a video about AGX. Essentially, they are just rebranded versions of Oticon, ReSound, Signia, Siemens, and Widex hearing aids. Each clinic that dispenses them is an Audigy practice. Audigy is a hearing aid buying group that provides business development services for their members. They also have a term called "Audigy Certified", used to differentiate their clinics from other clinics. Although there is no criteria to become ""Audigy Certified"" other than joining their group. They rebrand hearing aids so consumers can't compare the devices based on cost with other non-Audigy clinics that dispense name brand hearing aids. Oh...they also lock them so you can't go anywhere else to get them adjusted or reprogrammed. In my opinion, stay away from AGX.

    Cliff I have resound 3d hearing aids (love them) minus I had to go to iphone temporarily REM was used to adjust. kept getting garbled mess till earmolds were used (i have high pitch hearing loss)my audiologist said my hearing is perfect till i hit a certain pitch then I'm stone deaf. due to the way my ear canals are shaped they keep falling out and are uncomfortable is there any way regular mics can be used for my type of hearing loss?

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  6 років тому

      Resound isn't the best at custom earmolds. However, if they keep falling out, you either need a canal lock or skeleton lock. Have them remake the molds so they are comfortable and have them add these locks.

    I can tell you do not buy the Resound product. The customer support is terrible I live in a town of 500K people and they have no dealer anymore. When we bought them we had a dealer but now we do not so if you want to send them in for any service you need to drive to a dealer which in my case is two hours away. So drive two hours pay $350.00 and drive two hours back to them and pick them up. I called them and talked to a customer support person and he basically said ya to bad for you. So after spending $6000 for my wife to hear we now have a product that is not supported without driving two hours to find someone to send them in. So unless your guaranteed to always have a dealer in your area plan on driving. Plus customer support seemed poor to me.

    Marvel not so Marvel! Testing at the moment ReSound LiNX Quattro and Phonak Marvel My experience: two programs All round and music.(Both high end hearing aids) and why I am choosing Resound. Marvel Bluetooth connection not very cool. The Audiologist and I thought like all others. iPhone settings = MFi Hear Help it’s searches and connects. Nope! Only using the app you get the connection. Later on I tried streaming phone on the hearing aids but no connection (but this was automatically with Resound) after a while I found out you have to connect the right hearing aid again with Bluetooth to get this feature. My Audiologist then rung me up with the information that Marvel is made for all smart phones and not specifically for iPhone. Tried this out and after a while I did get a streaming connection but then the app lost the connection to the left hearing aid. Oh I thought how simple it was with Resound. The Marvel App is very spartan designed and with the two programs had no balance controls: (“Base, medium, treble. Also saw no wind reduction or noise reduction which Resound does have”). Only thing I liked about Marvel the music play back from my iPhone was better. But compared to my air pods both hearing aids where left behind. But from normal hearing and TV my subjective opinion the Resound is the champ🏆 and as the best designed and usable App.We are the next generation clientele who have grown up with computers 🖥 smartphones and we want tech that works and choice. After two days I gave my Marvel back. Also Marvel in the end price here in Germany 🇩🇪 is 839 euros 💶 more expensive. I don’t think 🤔 that justify the end price from 5.706 Euros!

  • @joelmerrill
    @joelmerrill 4 роки тому

    I have a set of these and they are terrible. The "Impact noise reduction" you talk about doesn't work at all with mine. Any clicking, hissing, ticking, banging or high pitch noise is like firing a gun. It definitely favors high frequencies. The most annoying part is that it only stays programmed for a few months. Then the sound quality gets real bad and I have to go back to my audiologist. They are plenty loud enough. They are too loud in many situations. But even though they are loud, I can't understand people. It's like I'm in a room with people speaking a different language. I going back one more time and then I'm going to get my money back before the warranty runs out.

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  4 роки тому

      Sounds like they are not programmed very well. If clicking, hissing, and ticking are a part of those intense sounds, then it isn't impact noise reduction that will fix it. Check compression. I would also bet that you are over-amplified in some frequency ranges.

      It's hard for me to imagine. I'm not much of a futurist. It will likely be different than what we see today, but I expect that price competition from OTC hearing aids will stifle true advances in hearing aids other than connectivity. It think connectivity will continue to grow.
