I think that people see a defenseless population being the victims of a dominant country. They react with emotion, not impartially trying to observe the conflict from the point of view of both sides, necessary also to find effective solutions.
They come from countries in peace so they don't know what it is to live under constant threat. They shouldn't give lessons while having no experience of a situation.

In fact I'm even cancelling my financial support of NPR because they haven't covered this latest conflict without obvious anti-Israel bias. What can people like me do, though? I used to see NPR as the only enlightened place to go, but starting in about 2000, that view started downhill fast. They missed the boat in so many ways. Years later they simply failed to be informative anymore. And eventually got to where I couldn't stand having them on for more than 30 seconds. I saw the 'freedom rider wannabe' syndrome grow and grow. Lots of gen-xers and then millennials who wanted so badly to have a liberal purpose that they would go to any length to shout, "Wolf, wolf!" Or in this case, "Racist, racist!"
I was raised in the South, and was against discrimination (the real civil rights issue) before being against discrimination was cool. These kids turned NPR moralistic police have NO CLUE.

Its not an eviction. East Jerusalem is occupied territory. It does not belong to Israel and according to International Law it is a War Crime to force the native out of their homes and land. This man is not telling the truth.

There is no “war crimes” at play in this, this whole landmass was already taken by Israel and it was by their own mistake in believing that the other side would do what is right that put them into this place today. You’ll find it virtually impossible to get an American authentic view on the Israel/Palestine conflict because they are silenced by the US TV moguls. TV hosts can’t say they are biased toward the Palestinian side, or public opinion might force the hand of the US government and they might loose their central military power house in the centre of Middle East. If a US TV host is biased towards the Israeli side then public opinion might rise up in uproarious protests and they don’t want that again so stay neutral.
Whereas T. Noah and J. Oliver are foreigners and have the support of their own countries of origin and will always get employed back home they can afford to hold an opinion. That’s why they don’t care about speaking their piece.

On the other hand; I do believe that Israel should stay; and I am not really opposed the concept of heavy-handed self defence by IDF. For those that don't know about the history of the land dispute that started the current skirmish -
1875. A group of Jewish families buy the land from previous owners (proven by Ottoman land register)
1948. Jordan attacks newly founded Israel and takes east Jerusalem where land is.
Jordan expels Jewish families, destroys Synagogues, desecrates cemeteries.
1956. Jordanian custodian of enemy property rents the land at Sheikh Jarrah to 28 arab families.
1967. Israel is once again attacked by 5 neighbouring arab countries, but re- takes north and east Jerusalem, where the land is.
Israel allows Arab families to stay and continue paying rent to the original Jewish families instead of the Jordanian govt. department.
1982. The owners of the land want to evict the families living in Sheik Jarrah. The Israeli courts refuse this request because the Arab families living there have protected tenant status under Israeli law.
1990. Arabs still living in Sheikh Jarrah decide to stop paying rent and are taken to court by owners.
2020. After 30 years of not paying rent, an Israeli court decides that it's time to evict.
Arabs unhappy with the decision start throwing rocks at police from Al Aksa.
Hamas joins in by throwing rockets.

Being a professional comedy writer/producer myself for various things over the years I can tell you as a point of fact, not speculation, that there was a purposeful directed push within the industry that slowly began pushing away anyone who spoke authentically and uniquely. Any and all subjects that require common sense and an open mind, and willingness to learn more than what the mainstream news is stating to be “true,” were indeed “cancelled.” Comedy once was the safe haven for anyone to express themselves in a way that wasn’t judged by anyone. Our humanity is in the root word of HUMor. It is what separates us from literally all other beings on the planet with the exception of dolphins and certain higher primates. These people like Trevor Noah and John Oliver are free to express themselves, sure, but it is clear that their slant on everything was manufactured by something larger that is trying to shift weaker minds who won’t research for themselves to the narrative that corporate interests and global agendas are desperate to re-install. We’ve been here before. Jews should be the most outspoken about it and everyone should take heed when Israel starts to give us warning of something dangerously familiar to them via their history. It's heartbreaking to see children crying/injured/killed from war. There are two completely different narratives about the history of the Israeli Jew- Palestinian Arab conflict. Without inside knowledge, a compassionate person could easily be swayed by the plight of the party less competent and more vulnerable...and many are.
There need to be better spokespeople to spread the word of the Israeli Jewish backstory, the justification of their actions, and of all the good they do. That is sorely lacking in the public narrative of this neverending conflict.

The fact that they have not done so can lead to only two possible conclusions: 1. They HAVE done the homework and are still speaking out strongly in a slanderous way against Israel, with full knowledge that what they are saying misrepresents the realities of the current situation (aka LIES).
I leave it to you to choose which. Either way, they have made their choice, and their choice is evil. It is evil to speak out from a position of influence in ways which are slanderous. They can mislead millions who do not have their access to the facts.

Clearly it's a tragedy that children are hurt and killed during incidents like this. The issue Oren is discussing is who's fault is it? The two gentlemen he has called out are saying that it is Israel's fault. If you know the facts, you know this is false. If you state it anyway, you have chosen to act for the cause of evil to further your own agenda.
As for their agenda? You should ask them why the act the way they do, not me. I have my guesses, but they are just guesses. Clearly, though, their agenda does not include real concern for children.
Let me speak more accurately: I don't think Trevor Noah and John Oliver are more inherently evil than anyone else. However, they have chosen to act in evil ways. Are they evil? Their actions speak for themselves and reveal the nature of their choices. Let's hope they recognize this eventually and make better choices. They are capable.

You are right! Many years ago, Iraq destroyed churches and drove Christians but no one talks about it! Even in Indonesia in the past, they burned down churches but we Christians never shouted to the whole world. Even Christians in Pakistan are treated like second class citizens. Even it was imposed to us to study Islamic history when some of us aren't Muslims, and the teachers were glorifying their religion and trashed my religion and I couldn't speak out and no one stood up for me!

While I'm still confused by the videos showing Israeli soldiers killing Palestinian children, which I don't agree. I do support Israel for its right to exist, as I'm a lover of Hebrew and my faith is more connected to the Jews. My heart is always with the Jews, as I feel sorry for the hostility they faced in my country and have all left and no Jews are left here.
I do pray for Palestinians as well, for their lives to be better and the suffering may end, regardless of whether they're Muslims or Christians.
