I recommended using a 9 x 4 grid so that you can put an alley in the center. But if you do not like that you can use the 8 x 4 grid which you not have to put an alley in the center, which you can put two 4 x 4 buildings next to each other or just to make longer blocks.
Another tip: Do NOT connect normal roads to ANY HIGHWAYS.
This is *DANGEROUS!* If you have a load of roads connecting to a highway at once, it could lead to a severe car crash or traffic buildup. Cars have to frequently stop suddenly without warning for a car to merge on, the only safe way is to not have them super close and make a smooth entrance like a highway ramp or overpass.
Cloverleaf problem: if a car is in the left lane and one on the right,
Say the car on the left wants to turn right to exit,
and the car on the right wants to stay on.
This can be annoying for the driver because they miss the exit.
Or, you have to stay in the intersection wasting time.

But i have a question : yo tengo en una ciudad mediana con 2 autopistas que conenectan con un pueblo en las afueras , una de 6 carriles ( que es la principal ) y una alterna , tengo el trafico en ×0.24 y aun asi se generan muchos atascos , tengo transporte ferroviario y de bus .

I know I'm late but how much tiles must the avenue be before placing the roads?
I tend to sometimes confuse myself and mess up...

For small avenue the width is 2 tile, for large avenue or 6 lane avenue the width is 3 tile. For the length is depend on your choices.

4x4 is the equivalent of playing a block builder game. While it is optimal, it gives your game an inorganic feel.
While I would suggest the use of 4x4 as filler for some part, I'd also suggest adding some variation into your cities to make them feel more natural.

I would sacrifice some grid for it, I really like making transit oriented cities, and most of the time as long as your layout loosely has a grid in it traffic isn’t an issue

Traffic congestion in my city is the biggest issue, especially at industrial area

Yes the industry is the most heavy traffic so it's common to get traffic congestion in that area. Try to build a highway in that area and connect it to your commercial district

You can look at the demand if the residential demand is low it means the residents house won't be build

It is an efficient layout but personally I find it a bit boring, I usually make apples with 4X4 tiles space and avenues placed in a kinda random way in order to make the city look a little more natural

4:13 I dont use this intersection but i use another interection which is great for 4 way junction and it also occupies less space and aslo my intersection is 10% more efficent than this
