I would mention Go Red from Go Go V. While yes, the clear leader/older brother, he was also very hot headed, with his siblings aswell but putting his life in danger alot because of the responsability he had to assume with both parents missing. The final episode when he finale let It out and burst Into tears on how big of a burden he was holding was a great moment.
Red rangers in Sentai for me are usually either charismatic or energetic to the point where it’s hard to call them fleshed out. None of them are bad characters but they usually suffer from their target demographic
@@infernoashfire5491to me it depends if the reds are written and acted. For example, if its more calm, grounded, and mature like Marvelous and Taiya, then I can get behind, but if it’s someone who’s flat out loud, idiotic, and acts like a complete Gary Stu like Lucky, then the season just dropped the ball.
I love Taiya in the fact that he quite feels Natural.. like he is the calm collected cool red but he also has a catchphrase (bakuage da na!!) like no extremities to either side, he's neither too calm nor too loud... but the Right balance... its cool...
I liked that about Taiya. He has that perfect balance of bombastic and energetic but also calm, quiet, and actually sophisticated due to his background being wealthy and handy with cars and auto mechanics.
Here’s something interesting to talk about: I remember you guys made a video on what you don’t like/don’t want to see in Toku Movies, but what about things you *like* to see/ *want* to see in Toku Movies?
For Super Sentai, the best one for me is Captain Marvelous. Such a charismatic dude. Power Rangers would be Jason and Carter. Also, Marcus isn't dead from jet lag, hooray!
Ok since I’ve seen more Sentai I think so far red rangers in this franchise in particular have been mix bag of Chex mix. What do I mean by this? We have had some good, some great, some ok and some bad. It has improved after I want to say Ninnger. Do I have some favorites of my own? Yes. Reds I can respect like Ryu, Takeru, Sasuke, Marvelous and Ryuga are the ones I really enjoyed watching. The only red I don’t care about is Takaharu and I want it to stay that way for obvious reasons. Reds I think are fine I guess: Matoi, Keiichiro and Koh maybe they are ones I need to talk about more.
Speaking of Rangers, I’m curious: you’ve said you have no interest in the newer Power Rangers series, but what about the older ones? The ones you’ve already praised (RPM, SPD, etc.). Do you guys still like those?
When it comes to reds in Sentai, I guess it depends on how it is written and acted. There are rare instances where a red can be optimistic and cheerful while also be grounded and serious like Juuru and Daigo (Kyoryuger) resulting them being great characters, but if it’s overly obnoxious, loud, and painfully annoying like Lucky or Koh, then the season is just flat out awful.

If it works, it works

@@TheGloryXrosalso Shishi Red from Kyuranger. He’s just as bad or worse than Takaharu.
So many great red rangers from sentai I can't pick who i like more
Yes. Thank you guys for choosing my request for Tokutalk.
We thank you for your quality entertainment, Marcus 😊

In my personal opinion, Captain Marvelous is everything a Red Sentai should be.

Takeru, Marv and Akashi are my favorite calm guys
For the cheerful energetic guys, I give Alata, Ryoga, and Kai their props

Red Rangers best Ranger!
Momotaro and Marvelous are the best.

Yes they still do
Really dissapoint that you guys didn't update the tier list for the reds at the end
It’s not supposed to be a tierlist video
