Wargreymon is and forever will be one of my favorite Digimons of all time! He’s an absolute badass! A dragon warrior who hurls freaking mini suns is just too cool to describe.
Lucemon is one of the few Ultimate level Digimon with the strength of a mega level Digimon. So he rarely needs to use his Mega form of Lucemon Shadowlord Mode.
With that, Lucemon is similar to Patamon from Digimon 01, since Patamon always gained the strength of the next evolution form...granted it was against evil Digimon.
Lucemon Falldown Mode casually took on 6 RKs in ReArise (Alphamon, Omegamon,Dukemon,Magnamon,Ulforceveedramon and Examon) and was winning. He even took Examon's Dragonic Impact and asked him if that's all he's got and even hit Ulforceveedramon who is the fastest of the knights.
Yeah, especially in 2020. The Gaia Force literally blows an entire neighbourhood. It can even get power up by the friends and blows a more superior Digimon
And also Blows up a neighbourhood of Crossmon-Allomon, a more superior ZeedMilleniummon, took out a DanDevimon by a single drill, a Gokumon which was hard to defeat in Rumble Arena, and etc
The Royal Knights all have amazing designs more so their X-antibody forms. Befitting their title. But my fav has always been Dynasmon and UlforceVeedramon 🔥😍
The higher we got on the list the more worried I got I wouldn’t see Beelzemon. Happy to see he’s so highly ranked! And that honorable mention to BlackWarGreymon!
4:06 Technically, Lucemon isn't a Mega level in his child form or Chaos Mode. His child form is his Rookie form while his Chaos Mode is Ultimate level, it's just that Angel type Digimon tend to display strength that is at least one level above their current form. He doesn't become Mega until his Shadowlord Mode.
Biggest cliffhanger and interesting was tamers, back then that show changed the dynamics but made us feel like we could be tamers aswell. I remember getting the 02 digivice and data tablet for xmass i would always hangout in toys r us in the digimon isle dreaming of being a tamer lol. Season 2 would be great and pickup the arc as guilmons cave showed a portal at the end. Good ol days godbless u all and all the digimon communities out there!
Lilithmon wasn’t really done justice in Fusion, though she had one heck of a last stand. At least her appearance in Ghost Game was more accurate to the lore, even if she was just a Mon Of The Week in that series.

Hell I have an entire plotline about how it could work if Henry was the D-Reaper’s play-toy (or better still Rika). Jeri and Leomon were the best partner pair in Tamers but they got screwed out of their rightful place in the finale, together as a Bio-Merged force of nature!

Wargreymon is definitely a badass mega-level Digimon but I was blown away by Gammamon and his evolutions, especially Siriusmon which is indefinitely my personal favorite but all of them are badass in their own rights!!! 🥲🤩🔥💕
I’d never noticed before but the pommels on Piedmon’s swords are the 4 card suits. Also Lucemon is a fallen Angel so he’s kind of half and half for Angel and Demon. Machindremon is actually part of Justimon.
Diaboromon was hands down my fave antagonist in all of digimon. The movie was so good and he seemed so chaotic. Not even doing it for evil, but because hes a living computer virus and that's just what he does.
Seraphimon will always be my favorite. I also love Ophanimon and Rosemon, but Ophanimon hasn't really had much time to shine in the shows, so it's understandable that she was left off this list.

Y'know, I never realised how much Seraphimon was based on Jesus. I thought he was just supposed to be a seraphim with a pope hat, but between being someone's lord, quoting "Well done, my good and faithful servant" (albeit, chopped up and reordered a bit), an attack called Testament that sacrifices its own life and mentions the "deepest mystery" (a term used by the pope when Seraphimon was introduced, to refer to Christians being called to be sons & daughters of God, saved by Jesus' death on the cross), and Strike of the Seven Stars being a _blatant_ reference to Revelation 1:16. Heck, according to _Digimon_ lore, there's even a prophecy/legend that Seraphimon wins the final battle against evil just by arriving, which is a very common Biblical depiction of Jesus' second coming (Zechariah 14:4, Revelation 19:11-21, and _especially_ 2 Thessalonians 2:8). It's actually really impressive how much research they did, they really knew their chops!
I LOVE how around that time pretty much everyone was like "OMG no never include religion in your stuff!" and Yugioh and other anime of the time censor SO many references out in both anime and card game so noone would think they were including anything along those lines, and then digimon comes along and goes "Nah, let's have angels and demons and let's make Satan the final boss of the fourth season actually"
What about Venom Myotismon? Maybe the most scary looking Digimon ever. Anyway my favourite Mega Digimon are Shine Greymon, Black WarGreymon, Seraphimon, Beelzemon (Burst Mode) and Mastemon.
Part of me wonders what would've happened had Arukenimon tried to combat BlackWarGreymon by creating another mega level control spire digimon BlackMetalGarurumon. Even though they'd have been artificial digimon I could've imagined them both after wanting to help the digidestined following the footsteps of their counterparts and DNA Digivolving into Omnimon Zwart.
I certainly miss BlackWarGreymon and HerculesKabuterimon in the list. The former, because he did a good job on going against the DigiDestined, but got some kind of redemption as well, and HerculesKabuterimon, because he basically saved the world bu pushing in all infected mega evolved Digimon into the reboot with quite a speech.

Machinedramon Neptunemon Beelzebumon WarGreymon MetalGarurumon CressGarurumon Honorable Mentions: Magnadramon MetalSeadramon Phoenixmon HerculesKabuterimon Diaboromon The only thing that I never understood was why Yoshi got Rosemon for her partner's mega form, when that was Palmon's mega, because in most of the games up to that point, it was pretty much agiven Rosemon was the final evolution for Palmon. It looks like Lilymon, only with the Yugioh card Metalmorph, giving it that new look.
Most digimon don't evolve in a straight line but have multiple branching paths. There's several digimon that can digivolve to the same digimon so Rosemon being the final evolution of multiple lines is completely fine.
@@gemmabarnes It can digivolve to Blackwargreymon or Machinedramon among others. Just because we don't SEE it digivolve in the anime doesn't mean it can't digivolve further.
Just from the introduction saying "no fusions", I feel like most any of the good guy megas from Frontier shouldn't have been on this list, whether they were a good mega or not (in this case Emperorgreymon). Each individual spirit is technically its own digimon, so it's arguable that even Takuya and Koji's base megas of Aldamon and Beowulfmon would be scratched as both are made of their respective champion level human and ultimate level beast spirits (the call out in the english dub is right there "execute, fusion evolution"), and that's not even considering that Emperorgreymon and Magnagarurumon are both comprised of 10 spirits each, or Susanoomon being all 20. Secondly, y'all might wanna get your scripts together. You bring up Justimon earlier in the list than Sakuyamon and yet make the comment of "we said no fusions, but we didn't say anything about bio-merging" during Sakuyamon's part, a quip that should have clarified that fact on your first inclusion of a bio-merge.
It's still Mega in JP. Only thing that changes between english and JP is that Ultimate and Ultra are switched, so in some versions Metalgreymon is ultimate and Omnimon is Ultra, while in some dubs the opposite is true. Mega has always been mega. Ultimate is usually a level above Mega (like Omnimon, Lucemon Satan Mode, the Burst Modes and so on), but that is not official official, although some official games use it.
@EskChan19 the heck are you talking about? The evolutions in Dub have always been Champion, Ultimate, Mega and Ultra while in Japan it's Adult, Perfect, Ultimate and Super Ultimate...

But you never play well with SETTING those expectations. If EmperorGreymon is on the list, I can all but GUARANTEE you put Omnimon up there at number 1.
Most lists beyond top 10s from them are just additional. Their sakuyamon part is the same from the older top 10 list of same name. They do justimon and dont mention that he's also a biomerge. Just a rant, not something to argue about.

I have two favorites here: WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. BlackWarGreymon is an honorable mention here.
Fuckin love digimon it deserves so much more love. Recently been getting back into the series while introducing my son who ended up loving it as well.
My #1 favorite Mega Digimon is hands down EmperrorGreymon. His Dragon Fire Crossbow Sword is the best weapon in Digimon to me.

Y'know, I never realised how much Seraphimon was based on Jesus. I thought he was just supposed to be a seraphim with a pope hat, but between being someone's lord, quoting "Well done, my good and faithful servant" (albeit, chopped up and reordered a bit), an attack called Testament that sacrifices its own life and mentions the "deepest mystery" (a term used by the pope when Seraphimon was introduced, to refer to Christians being called to be sons & daughters of God, saved by Jesus' death on the cross), and Strike of the Seven Stars being a _blatant_ reference to Revelation 1:16. Heck, according to _Digimon_ lore, there's even a prophecy/legend that Seraphimon wins the final battle against evil just by arriving, which is a very common Biblical depiction of Jesus' second coming (Zechariah 14:4, Revelation 19:11-21, and _especially_ 2 Thessalonians 2:8). It's actually really impressive how much research they did, they really knew their chops!
I LOVE how around that time pretty much everyone was like "OMG no never include religion in your stuff!" and Yugioh and other anime of the time censor SO many references out in both anime and card game so noone would think they were including anything along those lines, and then digimon comes along and goes "Nah, let's have angels and demons and let's make Satan the final boss of the fourth season actually"

Anyway my favourite Mega Digimon are Shine Greymon, Black WarGreymon, Seraphimon, Beelzemon (Burst Mode) and Mastemon.
Part of me wonders what would've happened had Arukenimon tried to combat BlackWarGreymon by creating another mega level control spire digimon BlackMetalGarurumon. Even though they'd have been artificial digimon I could've imagined them both after wanting to help the digidestined following the footsteps of their counterparts and DNA Digivolving into Omnimon Zwart.
Gallantmon and Beezlemon are my favorite digimon.
I certainly miss BlackWarGreymon and HerculesKabuterimon in the list. The former, because he did a good job on going against the DigiDestined, but got some kind of redemption as well, and HerculesKabuterimon, because he basically saved the world bu pushing in all infected mega evolved Digimon into the reboot with quite a speech.

The only thing that I never understood was why Yoshi got Rosemon for her partner's mega form, when that was Palmon's mega, because in most of the games up to that point, it was pretty much agiven Rosemon was the final evolution for Palmon.
It looks like Lilymon, only with the Yugioh card Metalmorph, giving it that new look.
Most digimon don't evolve in a straight line but have multiple branching paths. There's several digimon that can digivolve to the same digimon so Rosemon being the final evolution of multiple lines is completely fine.
The actual Mega form from lalamon is lotosmon but since it used by her enemy so developer force it into rosemon instead

Just from the introduction saying "no fusions", I feel like most any of the good guy megas from Frontier shouldn't have been on this list, whether they were a good mega or not (in this case Emperorgreymon). Each individual spirit is technically its own digimon, so it's arguable that even Takuya and Koji's base megas of Aldamon and Beowulfmon would be scratched as both are made of their respective champion level human and ultimate level beast spirits (the call out in the english dub is right there "execute, fusion evolution"), and that's not even considering that Emperorgreymon and Magnagarurumon are both comprised of 10 spirits each, or Susanoomon being all 20.
Secondly, y'all might wanna get your scripts together. You bring up Justimon earlier in the list than Sakuyamon and yet make the comment of "we said no fusions, but we didn't say anything about bio-merging" during Sakuyamon's part, a quip that should have clarified that fact on your first inclusion of a bio-merge.

My favorite Mega (Ultimate in JP) is a tie between Alphamon and Dorugoramon
It's still Mega in JP. Only thing that changes between english and JP is that Ultimate and Ultra are switched, so in some versions Metalgreymon is ultimate and Omnimon is Ultra, while in some dubs the opposite is true. Mega has always been mega. Ultimate is usually a level above Mega (like Omnimon, Lucemon Satan Mode, the Burst Modes and so on), but that is not official official, although some official games use it.
@EskChan19 the heck are you talking about? The evolutions in Dub have always been Champion, Ultimate, Mega and Ultra while in Japan it's Adult, Perfect, Ultimate and Super Ultimate...

This is why I have such MINISCULE respect for the channel. You don't adhere to ANY ruleset you ever use, so your number 1 picks are never what makes sense or what actually holds significance, it's what you think the audience expects you to pick. But you never play well with SETTING those expectations. If EmperorGreymon is on the list, I can all but GUARANTEE you put Omnimon up there at number 1.

I think Wargreymon is the best mega Digimon also Siriusmon would fit In the RWBY series as his Sword arms are also guns.
